I've been twice. Both times for the BBQ. Such fantastic food for a reasonable price. The place itself doesn't look flash but that is not a problem at all considering their food and the service has been fantastic both times. Would highly recommend getting the banquet BBQ :) I only wish that the BBQ also came with rice bowls.
Visited Sunny Seoul for the first time last time owing to the raving reviews about it. Food was delicious - the only downfall for these guys is you can never ring and book. You just have to rock up and give it a go getting a table (it took us 15 minutes or so until someone noticed us and then they asked whether we made a booking.... well no - because no one picked up ha!) it’s good food, slightly a bit more than your traditional Korean bbq but yep - service could be improved instead of making your clients feel like another number.
Absolutely superb!! From the amazing staff to the generous portions and great flavor. This place is a winner. Sauce and side dishes are plentiful and delish!!
Try the soybean soup and the marinated beef - it is amazing and I’ve gone to this place for over 10 years. Complementary side dishes used to have a lot of variety, unfortunately they don’t serve as much now.
Came here for lunch one afternoon at 12pm, we ordered quite quick but the food took atleast 45mins to come out. We ordered gyoza, spicy pork and a bimbimbap. Gyozas were lovely, bimbimbap was quite standard and the spicy pork could of been more spicy but I guess everyones 'spice levels' are different. Quite an alright experience.
We eat here almost weekly! The food is absolutely amazing, the marinated beef melts in your mouth, and all of the dishes are just delicious, served with sides that are awesome both on their own and complementing the meat servings. The atmosphere is fantastic with friendly staff who are more than eager to help. Great place for kids, restaurant is super kid friendly with a play area tucked into the corner to keep little ones entertained. Easily my favourite restaurant.
Awesome atmosphere. Would recommend this restaurant to anyone as I have gone here for years and have never had a bad experience. Food is exciting and fun to make. Staff are friendly and always are there to please your needs. Definitely one of my favourite places to eat with friends and family :)
Love this place!!! The owners are amazing and the food is amazing. The restaurant itself is very simple looking compared to other places but it is definitely a nice atmosphere to be eating at. Its a charcoal bbq which is a bonus as the favour is increased. Love it here!!
Very friendly staff and service is superb. Value for money and great portions. Side dishes are free and have a great variety. Great way to spend a Sunday lunch with the novelty of cooking your own meat on the BBQ.

Sunny Seoul is always a great place to go for Korean BBQ, though they seem to be in a more humble and casual setting, don't underestimate their quality as well as portion of food. With more Korean restaurants around, it can be said that the newer restaurants are getting more crowded than the older ones. Nearest to Sunny Seoul, there are about 3 to 4 other restaurants nearby which makes it abit of a challenge when wanting to go for BBQ and deciding where to go. With Sunny Seoul, the best part about it would be the friendly customer service as well as their variety of side dishes..
Great experience here for Korean BBQ. All the meat was deliciously marinated and generous serving sizes. The service was excellent, with the staff coming to our table to change the grill plate frequently. Although slightly pricey (~$28pp) I would definitely visit again, especially with larger groups as they offer multiple good deals on share plates. The only problem is that the location offers limited parks so I recommend coming a bit earlier or later.
Heard about this place for years but had not tried it due to the parking issue. This time tried to have a dinner early at 5:30pm. Well, the strategy is correct that there were plenty of parking spots there but the carpark was full in 30 minutes. Prior to step in the shop, the lure from the aroma of BBQ meats were attacking me so we rushed in and took a seat. This eatery is just like one of the eatery in a hawker centre, there is no nice set-up but looks like their prices are quite reasonable to the side of bargain. Ordered half serving of combination BBQ meat platter (only $58.00) and an extra Tofu with spicy Seafood Hot Pot. Meat platter comes with a spectacular quantity and it was very enjoyable to DIY the BBQ meat. Service is not quite attentive (because they were too busy) but friendly enough. Overall, this Korean eatery is recommended.
I'm surprised I haven't reviewed Sunny Seoul. I go so often I forget to rave about it. It is honestly my favourite korean bbq in Brisbane. I guess once I found Sunny Seoul I also stopped trying out new korean bbq restaurants, need to get back on that. The most recent time I went back it seems like the owners have changed but the quality and taste remains the same. I'm surprised at the consistency of Sunny Seoul but definitely very grateful. The meat platters are all good portions and fresh. The side dishes, are the most abundant I have ever had in Brisbane. There is no other korean restaurant (that I know of) that will give you 7 side dishes as standard. Definitely, should try.

I had never really had Korean BBQ until last year, and I was so pleased to finally try it. I also wished that I had tried it a lot sooner! We have now gone to Sunny Seoul BBQ a couple of times, and each time it had been a great experience.
The staff are all super friendly and inviting from the moment that you walk through the door. Staff come around often to check on the BBQ plate or how the meals are going. It can get pretty busy there on the weekend, so it is probably best to book a table just to be sure!
Each time that we have been to Sunny Seoul BBQ, we have ordered the half size combination plate. That serves two people no problems, so much so that you don't leave hungry! The combination plate comes with plenty of complimentary sides as well, which really works well with the BBQ.
There are six complimentary sides provided when you order the BBQ. Each person receives a side salad and then you share the other sides. There are two types of kimchi, one being a regular kimchi and the other being a cucumber version. Both have a decent amount of heat! There is also a mashed potato and sweet potato scoop. That works well with the heat of the kimchi. The first time we went, they had a sort of cold potato salad in a syrup which was very delicious. Lastly, they have some sort of creamy salad that uses this crunchy, yet rubbery vegetable. I am not sure exactly what it is, but it is quite moreish and the texture is different. But good!
The combination plate comes with a great selection of meat. We made the mistake of cooking all the thicker and marinated cuts to start with the first time going, which really hampers the cooking process. The plate comes with thinly sliced ox tongue and pork belly. They don't take long to cook and are absolutely tender when you eat them. Best to cook them first!
Next is the marinated chicken and marinated spare ribs. They provide you with searing scissors to cut each to your desired size. The marinade for both is delicious. The spare ribs can take a little while to cook, so just be aware of that. Lastly, and most importantly, is the beef bulgogi. It is so good , I would do it an injustice trying to articulate it! Just try for yourself.
Overall, the food is absolutely delicious and the service is very friendly, from the moment you walk in until the moment that you leave. It is nice putting the cooking in your own hands. It can get a bit smokey in the restaurant, and you walk out smelling like you have been at a camp fire when you leave. But that is not necessarily a bad thing! The only thing I can say is give Sunny Seoul BBQ a try!

Love this place. It's not about atmosphere or aesthetics here. It's about authentic and delicious Korean food. Two meat plates should be all you need for a duo with the Bulgogi beef an absolute knockout. These arrive with a vast selection of side dishes that pair up sweet, pickled and sharp flavours with your main selections. Admittedly, the first time I tried Korean (not at this place) I was pretty underwhelmed and perplexed at having to cook my own meal when I usually go out to a restaurant to avoid doing just that. This place made me understand the joy of having a grill embedded into your table. The smells are sensational and eating Korean BBQ specialties straight off the hotplate is total mouth-party. The service is super-friendly, laidback and vigilant especially with the grill maintenance. Parking is an issue in this tiny complex so we usually park across the street and walk across rather than getting locked up in the carpark. One of my favourite Sunnybank eateries and the best Korean in town. Never spent more than $20pp. Recommend.
Pretty decent portion for 2ppl at $58, the service is friendly. And I would say the interior and atmosphere could be better. But overall the meats included within the 2ppl pack were definitely enough for two people. Probably not the best bbq but definitely worth a go. Especially at 6 options of different sides. That's a plus :)
Great food and nice place with a group of friends, the price is reasonable. Nice varieties of side dishes. We like this restaurant and will return again.
Reasonable price for a great meal, I suggest eating with a group of friends and ordering the combo meal for $75. If you are going to eat with only one or two friends i suggest ordering the bulgogi. Remember to reserve your table beforehand :)
Big Servings. For those with a big appetite for BBQ, this place is a must.
Food is great. just too much for us. Don't wear your finest, it's a BBQ house after all.

The food - we've had the meat platter each time we've been there - but taken out and replaced certain items due to allergies (they do charge an extra $5 to do this - which is a bit of a pain, especially when replaced by a meat that would have cost them less anyways). The quality of the meat is fantastic and the quantity is enough to make 2 people waddle on the way out (after the smaller platter, even)! The sides are unlimited and VERY tasty! I love the sweet cabbage dish!
The service - other than getting a strange look if you arrive at opening time (on the weekend), the service was GREAT! The BBQ plates were changed frequently and the staff we very friendly. The lady working there for lunch on a Sunday even brought us hot tea - free of charge because it was a very cold day!

Food was great here, however the service left little to be desired. The restaurant was about 3/4 full, however the wait staff were too busy to bring orders fast like other BBQ restaurants, and the chef refused to cook the seafood pancake when it gets busy. Slightly dissapointed, however leaving with a full stomach of great food madee happy!

I love this restaurant. The food is consistently fantastic and fresh.The staff are friendly and cheerful although they can get busy as this place is often packed with the local Korean crowd.
I come here 2-3 times a month because I love the food so much and because it is a very affordable night out, especially when in a group.
I would highly recommend it above other Korean BBQs I have been to in Brisbane.

Nice find!. Firstly, the location is quite convenient. Taking the train to Altandi station (Beenleigh line), it only took about when we entered! Side dishes were tasty and were replenished as the meal progressed.
For the meal, we ordered BBQ combination platter (75$...feeds 3-4). That was definitely enough food for 4 persons! The flavour of the marinades and the tenderness of the meats were extraordinary. This is one of my best Korean BBQ experiences in Brisbane thus far.
We also ordered lots of Soju (Korean vodka) and Hite (Korean brand beer) and it reminded me of my stay in Korea back in January. Indeed the experience was authentic.

Great bulgogi and fairly respectable prices. Popular with the Korean community and the insanely friendly...gave me an An Yong (hello in korean) the minute i stepped out of my car.
Good Food, Good Fun. Somewhere different and where the boys would not get too bored too quickly. Great friendly staff and our young boys love cooking on the "Hub Caps" . Inexpensive and the people are attentive to your needs although sometimes are so busy that you could wait for another drink...although not too long. Food is good quality, served quickly and you are not rushed. They accept credit cards and we always leave with the "I have eaten too much" feeling. Don't expect a five star ambience but the simplicity, fun and food make up for it

Each of us walked out of this restaurant stuffed to the brim. The meat was so delicious and although we didn't order rice or veggies, we were entirely satisfied being greedy carnivores for the night. We found the service to be speedy and friendly. In fact, when I rang to make the booking, the girl who took my call was the friendliest person I've heard on a phone in a long, long time (and that's including my friends and family).
A delightful family-run Korean BBQ and Hotpot restaurant. It may not look as flash as the nearby Mr Bap, Midam or Charcoal BBQ House but it offers good value for money. We always order the BBQ meat platters. Photos of our last two meals here. Highly recommended!

Been here few time. Guess it time to rate them. Food wise it amazing, side are always good which compliments the meat well, their dipping sauce is also to my liking. Meat joint with sides dipped in sauce all together, once the combination enters my mouth it makes my taste bugs dance which is a fantastic experience. Downside is little expensive
due to pay by dish, also it a pretty run down store need a good renovation, service and wait time could be better, but the food is good enough so me and the misso don't mind the minor problems.
Highly recommend if your there just for the food and don't care about the other little things.
The tables were clean and the staff responded quickly to customers. This restaurant has a good taste of Korean BBQ. Staffs are busy working and change the grills of customers many times before they burn. The price is similar to other Korean restaurants. The parking lot is located right in front of the store, so it is convenient to visit. thank you for a nice dinner

A fantastic Korean restaurant that is very great service in Brisbane. All the food was cooked by friendly waiters in front of us. meat quality is so good, reasonable price. That was great time I am looking forward to going back
Food was quite tasty but the hot plate was not hot enough and we didn’t get the sear on most of our meat we have come to expect from other Korean BBQ which we were disappointed about. Otherwise very good value for money though in terms of amount of food.

Been here few time now, and food is great which is all I'm there for. Little old and need a good renovation. Wait time can some time be long. But 5 star anyways because the food is worth it in my opinion.
