Spending the weekend down here and out of a quick rush to fill our tummies we ordered an uber eat from sushi lovers. Yummo! The dragon rolls were delicious. Good size bento that fills the tummy and packed with flavour. Please come to Melbourne, you are more than welcome!!! So so happy right now 🤗
The food here is always incredibly tasty. The dragon rolls are filling and always consistent. I eat here regularly and always leave feeling satisfied.
Although the establishment is far from presentable, you must look past the cluttered, mess of an open kitchen to be able to fully enjoy your experience here. But once you do, satisfaction will follow.
Friendly and fast service. Freshly made and good priced sushis. The chicken katsu curry was reasonably nice. Sushi lovers is another great option for a quick and good valued Japanese.

I decided to try the Vietnamese menu at Mints, Rosalie today. Arriving at 2.30pm I saw the staff having lunch and the "closed" sign displayed. Never mind there is fish & chips at Fish Lovers and sushi at Sushi Lovers across the road.
Walking into Fish lovers I was looking at the lit menu on the wall. 6 crumbed sea scallops ($18) looked appealing with a small serve of hot chips. Unfortunately, no love here :( The staff must be on a smoko break so I walk next door to Sushi Lovers.
A polite Chinese waitress greets me with a smile and quickly takes down my lunch order. I'd heard her conversing in Mandarin to the kitchen staff confirming it's Chinese not Japanese owned. For the past two decades, most Japanese restaurants in Brisbane are owned and operated by non-Japanese so I'm not concerned.
The Agedashi Tofu ($6.90) arrives after 12 minutes. My first spoonful of tofu and dashi broth was delicious. The broth and fried tofu was served very hot, exactly how I like this dish but the broth was a bit too salty for my taste. Rating: 4.5/5.0
The hand rolls arrive as I was finishing the tofu. The soft shell crab hand roll ($5) is freshly prepared and the crab was hot, crunchy and tasty. An excellent dish. Rating: 5.0/5.0
The unagi (grilled eel) hand roll ($5) looked disappointing. On closer examination :)) I see a tiny sliver of unagi with a small serve of rice. It is 2/3 the size of the first roll and looks like it was made by a different chef. Rating: 3.0/5.0
The second hand roll was disappointing but I will return to try a few more dishes on their extensive menu.
Delicious! And so cheap! The crunchy dragon roll and the fire dragon roll are particularly amazing. Gyoza are great! pork buns are average.
Although the food is great, the service varies between average some days and laughably terrible other days.
I like this place. Bang for buck lunch specials during the week but otherwise affordable and fresh. Love the range of entrees and rolls, karaage is always good of course
Tried Sushi Lovers best seller the fire dragon roll on a recommendation and it was awesome; the smokiness in the seared salmon was delicious and the service was fast and friendly.
The best thing here is definitely the Fire Dragon roll, followed by the various bento boxes that they offer. The flamed salmon is what makes the Fire Dragon roll special, as you can really taste the smoky flavor that comes from the flame. The sushi here has always been really fresh. I also really like the spicy tuna salad, which has just enough heat to be pleasurable. Â I will say the service here is very variable, sometimes very friendly and sometimes relatively rude, but the food makes up for it.
Relaxed and casual dining and nice, fresh sushi! My dad says it's the best sushi he has ever had and it's his pick of the restaurants when he visits.
Sushi Lovers is my local sushi place and is very consistent with the meals they serve there. Although it an be a little bit expensive at times, their miso soup is great and their sashimi is always fresh.
My Favourite Japanese Restaurant and I eat alot of Japanese. Fire Dragon roll - Raw Salmon Sushi Roll my fave!! better then the extremely high priced places I've been!!! 2 top it off the nicest most welcoming smiles that remember my name and order even when I phone !!

The setting and decór of this place is misleading, as the food here is GREAT! Very well priced and quick service. Glad to have stumbled across this one. Do try it.
Delicious, fresh, friendly, affordable!. This place may not look super fancy but the food is always super delicious and fresh, the staff are very friendly and helpful, and you can eat a lot without it costing a fortune. It's not often that you find good, genuine Japanese food that doesn't cost an arm and a leg! This place is wonderful :)
The most delicious sushi in Brisbane. The sushi here are really fresh, delicious, wonderful, fantasy. Sushi lovers should pay homage here. The taste of sushi are various, smooth, tasty , delicious, ......,unforgettable excellent taste. I love it.
This sushi is divine!! It's absolutely delicious.. the sushi is freshly made to order, and the taste is very balanced and smooth.. I've tried all types of dragon rolls, seriously the taste is divine.. I've also tried kung po beef, Singapore noodle, seafood sizzling and the corn soup, all was delicious.. my favourites are all the dragon rolls.
The staff are "VERY" friendly and the service is out standing. The menu has a huge variety of dishes and reasonably priced.. if you're a real sushi lover you must try this place :)
A must experience for SUSHI LOVERS. I have been going to Sushi Lovers since 2007! I came across this fantastic restaurant when I moved to Milton. Great sushi, fresh and original.
I have fallen in love with the Fire Dragon Sushi they have recently added to their menu! My partner enjoys the sushi but his taste bud scream out for the great Gyoza they make.
I recommend SUSHI LOVERS very highly. A must go for sushi connosoirey!

This is one of my favourite eating places. Red and white dragon sushi is fantastic or great eating with all the dishes in a friendly atmosphere.

Value for money for sure. Our family loves this place, given it is in a high rent area the prices are good value off money. We normally order some sushi and entree's as the kids like the sushi train while I don't. However the choice here is so much better and cheaper as no impulse buying like the sushi train. Food is great and have been back several times without complaint or disappointment. Usually around $60 for 2 adults and 2 7yo kids with drinks and food. Hard to fault, location, price and food is great.
I love this place. The chicken curry and noodle dishes are very nice! Super cheap. You always get a table here. The menu is huge - Chinese, Thai and Japanese dishes. Yum yum.

Great sushi in the heart of Rosalie. I am so glad I live so close to this place. Really nice food, prepared fresh. I do think the sushi is slightly overpriced. $6 for 4 small sushi pieces seems excessive when it would cost $4 for the same plate at a sushi train or $2 for a roll of the same equivilent. Love the Chicken and Avocado sushi. They also do a massive serve of steamed veges for $8 which is an absolute bargain!
Top sushi joint. Sushi lovers is a great gem, simple, fresh sushi, friendly and fun staff, immaculately clean and you have a great view of the chefs making your meal. My kids love this place.

Fantastic Spicy Udon with Grilled Chicken! Also really enjoy their katsu chicken sushi rolls and salmon nigiri. For the best experience order fresh instead of from the pre-made selection.
they serve japanese food but also have some other asian dishes like thai curries and singapore noodles. plenty of vegetarian options and the food is on the cheaper side. we recently got it delivered from deliveroo.
I think that the validity of the reviews where the reviewers only have one or two reviews are little bit limiting. All local guys seem to have a great experience coming here. We frequently eat here and sometimes up to 4 times a week and we think at this place is Hands down best sushi in Rosalie
