Review Indian Whisper Restaurant - Brisbane

I've had a lot of Indian food in my life from places all over the world... and I can assure you that I've just experienced from this restaurant THE BEST Chicken Tikka Masala I have ever had!! I'm confident the rest of the menu is stellar based on the dish I had alone. Owner is also a stellar guy! Highly Recommended!!

23 June.. Took my son and his girlfriend for a birthday meal last night. Service was terrible and we waited over 70 minutes to receive our order as diners at the restaurant. At least 7 other people received their online takeaway orders while we waited patiently. The Australian waitress had no idea how to take our order and asked us four times to repeat it over 10 mins. We were so disappointed as we've eaten here before and reasonable food but will never go back as the service and attitude was so poor after spending $65.00 and taking so long to get cold food👎👎👎👎 The staff simply didn't care but were happy to take out money!

Visited on the anniversary night, the ambience was awesome!! Food was exotic as Indian Whisper always has been. The goat curry was delicious and not to mention the belly dancers added to the mood Must visit Highly recommeneded!

Worst experience. We read all the reviewer written above and went to eat. Price was high enough so we were expecting decent food. When we received our food (after 45 minutes wait), we had uncooked plain rice, a non tasty Paneer curry & semi burnt Naan. Big surprise is when they served Mango Lassi (as it's not in their menu) but they made out of something. Yukkyyyyyy Lassi. I guess they tried first time ever on any customer. When we informed them, owner told me that we are running restaurant since last 16 years and everyone likes this food. They also calculated wrong price. When we told them there is a wrong price on one item, she changed the price (no apology). I am not sure if all the comments here are genuine but if you like better food, don't every go to this one. Next day we tried, Tandoor & Curry Hut Indian Restaurant, Awesome...

Had an excellent Dinner at the Indian Whisper! Not often do you find a local indian restaurant that looks classy, has great indian at affordable prices and very friendly and quick service. We felt very comfortable and well looked after for our first visit and will definitely return again soon. Highly recommended

We often go here for a good Indian feast, and we went again tonight. Tonight we had the Lamb Vindaloo and Chicken Tikka Masala, absolutely perfect! I don't know if it was different chef, but it was so good! It's usually always the best place around for Indian. One of the best Indian I've had tonight.

Excellent customer service. A cosy dining room. Very neat and tidy. Food was one of the best and authentic Indian taste. Naan was the correct texture unlike many other Indian restaurants. Overall a very enjoyable dining experience.

The service was very poor, the waitress did not know the menu at all, we asked about a dish and her response was i don't know that dish know one has ever ordered it .... what a joke.... The food was very good though....

Had a Groupon deal at this place last Saturday night. It was a shock to me on the nice set-up and comfortable vibe. Service is very friendly and I can see the passion from the owner who likes to introduce their food to the public. Had the Vegetable Samosa and Pakoras which were done perfectly good and I think they serve the best Samosa that I had so far. Mains of Chicken Korma and Navarathan Korma (mixed veg.) to go with the Plain Pulao (rice with spices and herb) and the Kashmiri Naan were extra-ordinary perfect. The naan was so crispy outside with slightly sweet taste from the mixed dried fruits and soft in content. Overall experience really shines glory on Indian food. Highly recommended this Indian restaurant to other foodies.

Very authentic Indian food at Indian Whisper. My favourite saag paneer (spinach and home made cottage cheese) and rogan josh. Naan are freshly made, crispy outside n soft inside. Lovely n friendly stuff here.

Amazing experience!
Great place with quality service and food..Love the vegetarian options-kadai paneer, navratan korma and the rice dishes are always so good.Tasted the lamb biryani with raita on my last visit and it was really good. Great standard, very impressed.

Superb food quality!
Me and my girlfriends often visit this place and it has never failed to deliver quality service. The Lamb Rogan Josh is a must order whenever we are here. I love the Lamb Vindaloo too. It just melts in the mouth. Last time I was here I tried Butter Chicken with Kashmiri Naan and it was very yum,one of the girls ordered Kashmiri Kofta which is a vegetarian dish and that turned out great with Vegetable Biryani. The Banana split made for a great dessert option.

Great food! Great ambiance!
Was here last week with my wife and daughters for a weekend dinner. The place seemed nice with a warm ambiance.
We ordered tandoori chicken and seekh kabab for entrees. The waiting staff was pretty efficient and we got the dishes in couple of minutes.
Me and my wife had tasted Indian before but it was the first time for our girls and they simply enjoyed every bit of it.
There was a perfect balance of spicy, tangy and smokiness in the meat and we immediately placed the dinner order of Kashmiri pulao,Beef Vindaloo and Kashmiri kofta.
On it's arrival the vindaloo appeared very rich but the moment I tasted,it was perfect, the best one I have had so far!The girls rooted for the Kashmiri pulao and Kofta as they were subtler on the tastebuds.
Going the authentic Indian way,the kheer was our choice to fulfill the appetite for the day, beautiful flavours of the fragrant rice and the dry fruits complemented it so well. All in all,a great place to hav a hearty meal and enjoy time with family.

Consistently authentic good food. We've been eating here (& getting our take away) for a number of years now and every time it is always consistently good food.

Best stand out on the menu for us is the Chicken Tikka Masala (hot), Lamb Rogan Josh (med-hot) and then the vegetarian dishes Mattar Paneer and Peas & Mushromm Masala - delicious!

We've even introduced other friends to Indian Whisper and they love it too! Total converts.

Keep up the good cooking

This is the best Indian restaurant in Queensland I've ever been to. So much better than any other Indian places that these days I don't even eat Indian anywhere else. You must try it and you'll know why everyone is raving about this place.

Best Indian on the coast by far. Service sometimes slow although made up by the unbelievable food and friendly owner who clearly takes pride in this award winning hidden gem. Try it and you'll not be dissapointed. Butter chicken and lamb nawabi a must, oh and the naan.

Food was fantastic. Staff wasn't very friendly. Asked for water. Had to ask twice after a 30min wait
