The Tavern was a really nice experience. We came here after bounce with the family. The venue is really well kept. The food was really amazing and the customer service was just as good. The place was really clean and was great for a beer and pizza while watching the football. Highly recommended and worth checking out next time you need a local pub or somewhere to take the family for lunch or dinner.

I had a meeting in that area..second time in that spot..running errors..so it was raining got some stuff from small local servo that I can’t say I was happy as I did got some stuff but as I am not familiar with area and I wanted to get my antibiotics as the script was going to expired..lady at counter totally mocking me and provided wrong info..hm..they are expensive there and misleading new customers..good for us..thank god it was raining..meeting I had lasted close to two hours..weather felt like I was in Britain so I said..well I should go and try my luck..so I did…nice pub..good heating system..great pokies..nice music..they make great cocktails and for sure locals and stuff welcoming,polite and provide correct info..I got told they are actually two chemists..they even put the effort to give directions that one was just walking distance and other one to shopping centre..I just laught it off realising that Indian lady before has I can’t say no brains but she has issues..happy I had my cocktail..perfect time for a good win to pokies..met intresting people and arvo flow well..love the decor and for sure I will try their food..nice..I even loved the plants they had at the smoking area..as other venues don’t have..love my flowers..nice place..good day

Visited in a Wednesday night they had trivia, was a great night and a good host. The food was well presented but sadly lacked flavour. This was our second visit and sadly we thought the same on the first visit. The staff were very polite, the atmosphere was good. Will go back for trivia again, fingers crossed the food flavour improves

Great food and atmosphere!!!! Partner said it was the best pork he's ever had. However the online ordering system needs updating as they were "out" of the wines we wanted which were listed on the system, but the bartender was able to recommend something similar to what we originally wanted, which we all thoroughly enjoyed. Also should be able to use app pay being an AVC venue. A negative was that the waitress should have let us have a couple of bites our meals before doing a check on us - none of us had even tried our food before she asked. But all in all a very enjoyable experience.

Wonderful ambience and customer service. The portion size is very generous and food look super pretty. I ordered the pork roll. Skin was crispy and pork juicy. Only part didn't like was the filling of italian sausage which was dry and unflavorful as seen in last picture of left over food I didn't finish. Everyone else food looked delicious. Well done. Would come again.

Ordered a pasta to take away… I originally asked how long the wait time would be the waitress said “5minutes, 10minutes, no wait maybe 15minutes.” As a waitress, she should definitely know the wait time in the kitchen. The pasta I then had was probably one of the worst dishes I have ever had. So so bland! I ordered a carbonara and I can count on one hand how many diced pieces of bacon I had in the dish. Literally pasta and cheese, so disappointing… wouldn’t recommend.

I am so disappointed as I recommended this place and taken so many people here. Yesterday we arrived and ordered at 12.30. At 1.20 we had to ask the waitress could we have our drinks. She then got our orders totally wrong and at 2.00 we still didnt even have our bruscetta starter. Not once did she check if we wanted another drink .We ended up leaving at 2.15 and the barman still made us pay for our one drink after sitting there for 1hr.45min . Very disappointed in service.

Average. Everything was average. Average food, average service. Just a place to go for a beverage. I wouldn't go to this place for food. Does have live music so ok place to hang.

Absolutely appalling arrived for lunch, 40 min after ordering had to get the food in take away containers. Was even more shocked to see what the food looked like inside the take away containers. Not worth the money spent at all. Will never return.

Ordered the ‘pork belly panini with jus’ and received a cheap hot dog bun with roast pork and a gravy looking sauce... did not ask how our meals were. Was hungry so I ate it but I was pretty disappointed that the staff thought we just wouldn’t notice the difference. Won’t be back.

Some of the signature foods were good. However, we order 3 bambini pastas and they were very inconsistent. One was very chalky and we pointed it out to the staff. We were willing to still pay for it but the wait staff was very defensive and aggressive. <br/>As with most Italian restaurants, there are herbs on and around the tables so the patrons can pick them freshly to add to their meals. Our kids picked some to eat and were quickly told by management not to do so as they were sprayed with pesticides. We said that they should put signs up if they don't intend patrons to use the herbs. Again, they were very defensive about it advising it was our fault for tasting the herbs on offer.<br/>The restaurant has potential, but we found the practises and the hospitality very un-Italian like. We will be travelling further to seek out better food and service.

It's good and straight forward, but menu is a bit stale and needs an update. The waitstaff always greet us and remember us when we go and are friendly. Good ok, pub fare standard. Good for a no fuss dinner out.<br/>Quite and good for kids.<br/>Have Italian wines and cocktails which is a nice change.

char grilled octopus did not looked char but cold and soggy test liked it was oven baked. The stake was grisly, the salad was bland lettuce and the veal was tasteless and chewy would not recommend it, unless you like wasting your money.

Great food and atmosphere. One of the best Italian family restaurants in Brisbane. Authentic! Wine list good price and appropriately priced. Still can't believe some of the negative comments... Maybe they should stick to dominos?

Very poor experience tonight at the The Italian Cannon Hill. There were proximately a dozen of us for dinner. As I have an ulcer I ordered the child's serving of the spaghetti carbonara. When the waitress took the order she didn't say that I couldn't have it. When the meal arrived it came as an adult serving. I said that's not what I ordered and they said that's all we can give you. When I went to pay I said I was only paying for what I ordered. After a lengthy argument with the waitress who said she didn't understand the order and that's why she didn't say anything I asked to speak to the manager. After about 10 minutes of arguing the manager finally said she would make good and offer me a discount. I said I didn't want a discount and that I only wanted to pay for what I ordered. Apparently she couldn't do that with the til. She finally gave me a complimentary meal. What a shame that this came 15 minutes too late. You shouldn't have to pay for something you didn't order and argue about it. Appalling service and appalling food. I have never written a review before but felt this experience needed to be passed on to other people so they don't order and have to pay for something they didn't order. If you have a choice do not go here.

Ate here on recommendation of friends. Is now an Italian & easily the best Italian family food we have eaten in Brisbane. Very friendly, nice space , great wine list. Highly recommend.

Wish we read the reviews before going here. Was a quiet Tuesday night and there were only 3 of us. A table of 6 were seated beside us and got their food way before we were told 'your order is being made now, there was a problem in the kitchen' We waited 45 minutes for our garlic bread and another 20 minutes for our food. Food was ordinary. Risotto was undercooked, carbonara was bland and filet Mignon tasted odd. We wanted to order a desert as they looked really lovely but after waiting over an hour we weren't in the mood to wait longer.

Very tasty italian food. Great atmosphere and Alessio is the best!!!! Thanks for great experience. Francesca was incredibly efficient to match vine and food. I eat crab lasagna and was perfect! Strange music maybe not italian. Anyway I'll come back for sure.

Very disappointed, overpriced. Asked for a cheese only pizza for my son and that is what we got... no sauce or anything!!? My marinara pasta was less than average with lots of chewy seafood pieces in a bowl of pasta. We wont be returning.

Owned by Coles! I went here for a lunch several years ago (when it was called Eleven Seven) and it was really good but it has since been bought by Coles and the last time we went it was not very good and also not very child friendly. The high chair seemed quite unsafe and we couldn't get any food suitable for our young son so we couldn't relax all night. As a local resident I also don't like how they have completely blocked the path with tables and force people to walk through the car park.
