I was so excited to discover another good place to have plain croissant in morning.
Explored this espresso for brekkie and it is only serving take away at the moment without dining facility but it does not have any impact to the business as there is always a queue for orders.
Approached the large window, where customers can place their orders. My gaze was caught by those plain croissant sitting on top of the counter. Needless to say, I placed an order of them to go with a flat white.
I took the whole take away to my car for the food and beverage journey.
Coffee of di Manfredi was prepared to my expectation - strong and smooth with character. The house-baked plain croissant was as light as a feather. Texture was so good that tempted me to hold myself returning for another one immediately.
It was definitely an impressive brekkie😋👍😋
Consistently great coffee. Made well, efficiently and by friendly staff. Easy stop off when up in Annerley Shops / library. Parking outback. Great cafe.
Remembered this place when i walked to the bank, so decided to go and try their coffee. Always seeing people with their cups. Very modern and hip setting, with great wall art. Has a really nice feel to it, with mismatching chairs and tables.
It was afternoon and looks like they were packing up, but the owner was happy to make coffee. So ordered a small latte, it made with such ease and it tasted great. Was thr right temperature and finished off quickly.
Staff were friendly and inviting.
Will come back and try their food next time, they don't open sundays so might have to be a saturday.
Delicious coffee (my favourite south of the river) and great breakfasts. Unfortunately not open Sunday's which sucks when looking for a good Sunday brunch. The staff are friendly and theres a lot of regular locals, probably due to how good the coffee is!
Great little place for impromptu lunch. Parking is free, staff are friendly, and food is tasty. There's no aircon so come at lunch at your own peril. The iced coffee is good for hot days.
Always a busy place. Even on weekdays!! Great coffee, friendly and fast service. Food is pretty good too. Had simple eggs on toast, not exactly wow-ed but it's just eggs on toast. I was satisfied. :)
We come here quite a lot. Absolutely love everything on the menu, partners always gets the halloumi fritters (think they're going to be a special from now on), I always get whatever is on the specials board and have never been disappointed!
Coffee is delicious and the make your own juices really fresh and just what's needed some morning!
The staff are beautiful and always super friendly and the atmosphere is great.
Only thing we wish is that you were open Sunday lol it took us so long to come by because we always went for a Sunday breaky, but now we just make it Saturday breaky instead.
A very busy cafe and you'll have to wait for your order for a while but it has great coffee, lovely staff and funky atmosphere. One of my fav stops.

I'm having too many likes these days and need something to whine about. I was getting that shake from drinking coffee at the late hour of 8am. Geez, that is way too late! Do these people know how many ranks in the head with a mallet I need to keep myself awake until they open at 8am?
Good coffee, top notch service. The coffee was great, nice presentation and the service was fantastic. It was a good balance of simple and excellent
Dudley Street Espresso & Collectables - Annerley, Brisbane. Picture the inside this way: having a look at it, the layout is almost a combination of an art gallery meeting a garden store. It is very charming, and as the name of the place would entail there are artworks on sale for purchase. With all the antiques around, it is best to keep an eye on the little ones. One side faces the main road, and the other faces the titular street and you have two different kinds of view to chose from. Being mostly on a main road is not so much of a problem, depending on where you sit. Regardless, there is a fresh breeze to behold.
A combination of hearing about how good this place was, plus having prior business in the area I decided to try this place out for coffee. This was worth it, and the place was far from empty. Quite a few patrons must visit here often showing just how good the coffee is. For the most part, the design appears to be urging socialisation with a communal table in the middle, chairs perpendicular to the coffee tables and a continuous window sill cum table as well. Topping all this off is friendly and hard-working staff at hand.
After all this, and deciding I had no real place to be anytime soon I decided to eat in store. I have found that coffee often tastes better via porcelain. It was the usual, double shot cappuccino. The coffee here was smooth, had a great flavour and good body. It was the right amount of strength with great aromas.
There was a great selection of what you would come to expect at a coffee place: toasties, plenty of cakes, wraps et al. However, I felt like something a bit less heavy and more of a accompaniment. Getting a glance after placing my order, I saw that there was pistachio biscoti on offer. Thus I got an order of those. The portion was generous; usually you would expect two at most, there were five biscoti. These were great, delicious and had the pistachio flavour undertones.
It is a worthwhile addition to the suburb of Annerely, and one of the greater coffee places around town. With a laid back atmosphere and all sorts of goodies to select for eating, it definitely is worth trying out.

Wow, to the last review (Trina Markland) if a business presents it's trading hours visibly like Dudley street does then they open at that time- not 15mins earlier because it works conveniently for you. Plus don't let the CLOSED signs on the door fool you!!
If customers saw other customers getting service before the open time, then they could see it as special treatment and inconsistency.
Keep up the great work Dudley st with your great food, coffee, atmosphere and always friendly staff.
Love ya's
Long term fan. My sister and I have both been fans of Dudley Street for many years. Although we have both moved away from the area we still try to visit as often as possible. The coffee and sandwiches are wonderful and we also really like the strawberry shortcakes!
My husband and I have been going for about 3 years. The food is always delicious and quick and we are always greeted with a smile.
Best coffee in Annerley. Love this place. Only downside for me is that it's no longer open on weekends - Monday to Friday only! Boo!
Coffee is always excellent and I personally have found the staff to be friendly and accommodating. They also don't charge extra for decaf which is nice.
The pre-made sandwiches are slightly expensive but are always fresh and tasty.
Compared to the other coffee establishments in Annerley - Dudley cannot be beaten!
Best nearby..by default.. I live in Annerley which feels like the suburb most deprived of anything remotely tasty. I'm pretty pleased to have Dudley St just up the road so if I'm too tired to safely operate my stove top espresso machine I can rely on these guys to perk me up. The coffee is very good at times but they could steam their milk with a bit more care. I once had a sandwich thing which, while made with quality ingredients, was understuffed and overpriced. Coffee is all I really need anyway.
Staff here are wonderful. Sandwiches are fresh and tasty. Coffee is great too. Nice little place, sure it is noisy, but it's on a main road in brisbane. If you want quiet time, maybe drink your coffee in the car ;)
Dudley always Delivers! Been a regular here for about three years and always leave happy. The Gian Carlo is consistently pulled to perfection and our sandwich and banana bread combo is one of the tastiest and most affordable you'll find this side of brisbane. Filled with complimenting ingredients on artisan bread all dished up with the type of service that makes you feel better about the world, Dudley you're my favourite.
Get in quick for the delicious, freshly made sarnies! A gem in the burbs.
Best lunch spot in Annerley. Great friendly service and amazing sandwiches.
Coffee. One of the best coffees in town always consistently good. If I am passing that way at lunch time a definite stop for coffee & a one of there very tasty toasted sandwiches.
Fabulous choc chip & oat cookies. Just wanted a little something to go with my coffee ... not really a choc chip cookie fan, but they looked great - chunky and oaty, so that's what I ordered. It was the best cookie I have had in a cafe!!! I came home and started the search for a recipe to make for myself.
Thank the Lord for Dudley Street. Best coffee on the south side and as for the guys and girls that run it, they have never been anything but warm and friendly to me (and my children). Yes it's small and yes it gets really busy (what better sign of good coffee could you want?) but it is totally worth the wait. Everywhere I go these days I find myself comparing coffee to Dudley St. Give it a try, you won't regret it.
Heroin sandwiches. I love dudley st espresso!!! Lovely staff, great coffee and the most addictive sandwiches ever!!!! must go there if your in the area. :)
Best toasties in Brisbane!!!
Simple but perfect. Food on offer is limited and simple but they do it really well, great atmosphere ad coffee!!! if youre going to do something may as well be done great like these guys!
Best Coffee. Got to love the coffee and the toasties are AMAZING
Always feel welcome. The guys at Dudley St Espresso & Collectables have always made me feel very welcome. I can totally understand the signage asking for parents to control children as it is a small space that also has collectables for sale. A prompt to parents to be mindful of their children's behaviour is reasonable ... maybe they've had stock broken or an accident in the store that has led to the need for this reminder. I would highly recommend a visit but find that I enjoy the space the most when I go by myself and just soak up the atmosphere. It is not really a venue for lounging or long conversations.
Such a delightful experience everytime and even better when you get personalized sms turkey alerts :)) TF#3
Great coffee. Fantastic selection of sandwiches. Friendly service!
Only a mo. I popped in here a couple of weeks back for a coffee. No complaints really. I found the dark 'trendy contemporary decor' to be very cool. The place is in a very nifty location, I think it's worth a second visit to try the breakfast foods one sunny weekend morning...
Cute little place with beautiful sunshine filtering through it. Love the chunky communal table, and the fast & friendly service. My cheesy toasty was wonderful, as was my latte. Enjoyed looking around at the vintage bits & bobs, and reading the 'Green' magazines provided. Worth a visit for sure :)
Busy. This is my GF's favourite cafe. It is usually busy, but worth the wait. The toasties are excellent, and apparently the coffee is tops too.
Best coffee on Ipswich Rd. Excellent coffee, friendly fast efficient staff, good simple fare. Food actually had taste and did not appear to be the usual cold factory fare. Plenty of newspapers. Bogan alert.
A favourite place!. This is my regular stop for a coffee - Why? Because the guys serve up swiftly, they remember customer names, the coffee is really good, the food fine and the ease of access is brilliant. Only the noise of the main road is the only down point. Highly recommended for people on the south side of Brisbane for a good coffee.
Best coffee south of river. Highly recommended - superb coffee!
Coffee on the up... Its a bit of stretch to suggest that this place serves the best coffee in town. The Brisbane coffee scene is definately on the up, and these guys are certainly a part of that upward trend. Easy vote for top 5 south of the river!
Best coffee in Briz, gourmet rolls, fab & funky service and atmosphere Love it!
But don’t be fooled by DSE’s small size, they have a range of simple breakfast and morning tea options as well; banana bread, muffins, slices, cakes, gourmet toasties and biccies, sometimes they have homemade minestrone and pumpkin soups as their winter warmers too.
We have passed Dudley Street Espresso a gazillion times and finally, we made it a point to visit on this very bright & cool saturday morning! Dudley was busy busy but we managed to nab 2 stools at the far end of a long wooden communal table. Service at Dudley's is quick; order from a simple but varied selection of sandwiches, quiche, pastries, muffins (the banana/ pear raspberry bread seems popular) and pay at the counter. There are also hot chocolates, chai teas and milkshakes for the non-coffee drinkers. Grinders- 2 Cuppaccinos Please!! Not sure i loved my coffee today . Thick dense Sourdough Toasts with Honey & Vegemite Salami, Mozerella and Rocket Toastie! There were just more and more customers coming in for takeaways and a read with a cuppa. We love the vintage vibe of this cafe and it is truly ideal for a slow, quiet and relaxing morning. Dudley Street Espresso 494 Ispwich road corner of Dudley street Annerley Opens:
... it's quaint and inviting - it feels like you're having coffee in a small antique/bric-a-brac shop.
Best place in Brisbane for coffee and brunch. Really reasonably priced, staff are really friendly and take the time to talk, and most importantly, really really good coffee.
Covid safe and friendly cafe. Coffee was good.
Parking wasn't great but I experienced friendly service along with good food & great coffee! couldn't leave without another take away coffee.
I love their shop Dudley Street Espresso =)
Lovely serve with polite & Smile.
Very Clean area.
Good price with value meal order.
I am very proud of their environment really well.
The best cafe in the world.
I have always wave Hi with nice smile. They wave back with nice smile & very friendly.
Fantastic food and coffee. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. Great vegan options. We went 3 mornings in a row but felt like "regulars" after the first visit. I cant recommend this place enough, so good!!
I go into Dudley street every Saturday for my breakfast and I can't get enough of it. The staff are incredible and they always have a smile on their face. it's such a quirky cafe with a great vibe. The coffee is fantastic and is always consistent, I have never had a bad coffee here before. Love the Dudley street crew, keep up the great work dolls!
Excellent coffee, friendly staff, chilled clientele
A great little cafe in Annerley. I stopped and had a breakfast and coffee and it was a good choice. The meals were reasonably priced and the meal I had was very tasty. The coffee is strong and well made. The only draw back is the road noise that hammers in from the main road a few feet from the cafe.
