Delicious food and impeccable service!
Went with a friend for coffee in the afternoon and after looking at the food menu we opted to have a late lunch! We ordered off the entree menu and was not disappointed :) we got the bread and dips (the bread was soft yet crunch and soo fresh!) the dips were unique and so flavourful. My favourite was the pull pork sliders, just the right amount of spice and the pork was so juicy! Coffee was soso however but the service kade up for it, so lovely and willing to help with any selections. I heard at night they have live music, definitely would love to check it out!
My daughter and I went to Soho Gardens for Mother's Day last Sunday, and we had a lovely time. Greeted by friendly staff, I was presented with a full glass of bubbly for Mother's Day soon after we were seated.
We started with a shared entree of Arancini balls - an old favourite of ours which didn't disappoint. We chose Ricotta Gnocchi and Roasted Pumpkin Salad for our mains. The Gnocchi would have been much nicer had it been baked, but the Pumpkin Salad (I ordered added chicken) was a lovely combination of lightly roasted pumpkin, crisp sauteed beans, caramalised onion, feta, and a generous smear of home-made Hummus. However, the star attraction of the day was their White Sangrias. Do yourself a favour and try one - they are to die for!
The restaurant was very busy that day, so we had quite a long wait for both the entree and mains, but we were compensated us with a discount on our bill which was nice. All in all, it was a great experience in pleasant surroundings, with good food, and excellent staff.
4.5/5
I’m not your parents, I’m not going to tell you what to do. But pull your socks up, tuck your shirt in & get to Soho. Don’t be fooled by the shopping centre location or its casual, pub-style nature...this is a stand-alone dining destination worth the trip. If it was our local we’d be here a lot - the sheer quality & bang for your buck beats much in our own hood. The broad menu offers appealing brekkie, lunch, dinner & drinks. We came for those last two.
Our entree choices indulged some occasional comfort food habits. Three cheese arancini confidently delivered a lovely textured & tasty risotto with a dreamy truffle finish. Calamari with citrus aioli had soft bursts of szechuan peppers in the batter exploding like pop rocks which took the experience to a whole new level. Talk about texture - you can’t beat that. We could’ve taken more spice but I bet this is a crowd pleaser. Onion rings next: it’s been a long time since we’ve had good ones but these were light, super crispy, not oily & melt-in-the-mouth right down to the last crumb.
Onto mains & a popular choice was Soho pie which today was beef & caramelised onion. Made to order it takes 20 minutes. Tempting...but our friendly server commended my coconut chicken salad selection saying it’s her favourite. Man it delivered - plentiful, tender chicken with green papaya, fresh herbs & chilli. The skilfully balanced dressing tied it all together in flavourful asian perfection. Now it’s my favourite too.
The pork belly was the biggest serve we’d ever seen. Eating first with our eyes, we already knew this was delishe. The thoughtful construction of the dish combined sautéed potatoes, caramelised onion, baked apple & fennel sauce & OMG the crackling had the kind of crunch which echoes. Would have loved a steak knife to carve that pork up though. Surehanded execution again & no need for additional seasoning. These meals were huge & could easily be shared.
Love the greenery-laden decor, chilled playlist & staff who obviously like their jobs. Seriously the prices; we would’ve (and have elsewhere) paid double for far less. We’ll definitely be back for brekkie. Thanks for an incredibly lovely dining experience.
We were invited to visit Soho Gardens and chose to try their breakfast menu. I was surprised to find such a fun, inviting, vibrant space in a shopping centre and immediately wished my local centre had a Soho Gardens!
Staff were excellent, very attentive and polite. We started with coffees using Fonzie Abbott beans and they were excellent. Definitely the key to good coffee starts with the beans and these guys nailed it. My son was stoked with his babycino with an M&M on the side and sprinkles - what three-year-old dreams are made of!
My husband chose the Soho full breakfast and boy was it big! The bacon was lovely and crisp, sausage was very tasty with great flavour and almost all the elements were delicious. Neither of us were big fans of the beans. They seemed quite watery and tasted almost like minestrone soup which was a bit odd. But that was the only negative to the whole dish. I chose the potato pancakes which came with poached salmon, egg and lemon cream and I added avocado. The pancakes were delicious, nice and chunky potato so great texture and well cooked. I liked the salmon but found it a bit odd to be cold and would have liked more lemon cream. I also thought it needed the avocado so think that would be a great addition to really make this a winning dish.
I really like that it's not a run of the mill breakfast menu. There are interesting choices, a little bit different and definitely makes it a spot I'd like to return to and try more dishes. Like I said before, I really wish my local shopping centre had a great restaurant/bar like Soho Gardens cause I'd certainly be a regular visitor. Definitely recommended, thank you so much to the team for having us!
Came here on a Saturday evening, easy to find parking and easy to find tables since they got a large space.
Wasn't too hungry, so we ordered two salads (salmon salad and a thai beef salad) and a seafood paella. Salmon salad was plain compare to the Thai beef salad dressing.
A lovely clean and interesting fitout is the first thing you will notice here, along with the lovely staff. Service was excellent and very family friendly. The salads are beautiful presented and are great value - even as a full grown dad the beef salad was very satisfying and well seasoned. Unlike most Asian beef salads, this seemed like a good piece of steak sliced up - impressive 👌
Great local place. The food was delicious. We really enjoyed the pumpkin salad and the calamari was just yum. The duck spring rolls were jam packed with duck meat. Definitely give this place a try
Fairfields shoppings centres latest addition to their growing food precinct adds a nice variety of comfort food with a relax environment. So to combat the intense heat we had a nice variety of drinks. For once Espresso didn’t go for her signature Espresso Martini (she needs to change her name, what is matcha :P). Instead I went with the Bombay Chai, strong with spices and bold taste with quality Fonzie Abbott espresso, just a quality blend of greatness in a glass. Espresso decided to try two gin and tonics throughout our trip Blood which was more of a citrus hit with the blood orange flavors, and Water the refreshing mint and cucumber combo.
Festive season is always stressful and Christmas present shopping is one of the hardest things to contend with whilst still keeping up with the holiday scheduling. Whilst we were out doing our end of year shopping though, nothing beats a quick rest stop for lunch to catch your breath and appreciate that you are in fact on holidays, which is why we opted for a nice relaxing lunch at Soho Gardens amid the shopping frenzy.
On trend in the burbs is exactly what this beautifully romanticized, picturesque new restaurant screams. Once you step inside this mesmerizing garden of eating, the live music, flowing cocktails and buzzing atmosphere will simply capture your heart.
We were greeted by the wonderfully enthusiastic and attentive Tess who went about helping us order two sexy cocktails. My partner and I chatted away whilst enjoying the surprisingly talented musician and taking in the buzz of a lively dinner service. Then the food began to flow out.
We ordered the beef carpaccio, Calamari, 5 spice chicken, pork belly bao and buffalo wings. Just enough for the two of us. My suggestion? Order the Calamari!
It is insane!!
The batter is just so perfectly light and crispy whilst being slightly spicy from the Sichuan and eats so well with the citric aioli.. pure heaven on a plate. I could eat 5x of just this dish. Yum!
The other dishes of note were the buffalo wings and 5 spice chicken. The pork belly bao needed a bit more mayo and the beef carpaccio a little more seasoning, but at this point I am clutching at straws.
Really amazing night and had so much fun enjoying the music and atmosphere. Earned some serious brownie points from the other half too for finding such a cool new spot to go for date night ;) I can’t wait to go back with friends for a Sunday sesh or arvo hangs.
Big thumbs up on this one guys, great work Soho Gardens!
We are invited to lunch at this new restaurant at the Fairfield Gardens Shopping Centre. Warmly greeted by Bartender Claire, we are provided with menus and iced water. As we sip on our cold refreshing Cocktails our entrees are served.
Mushroom Aracini ($14.90), Pork Belly Baos ($15.90) and Tumeric Prawns ($19.90) are freshly prepared and beautifully presented. We share the entrees and there are nods of approval around the table. These entrees rate 4.5-5.0! After a twenty minute break, our mains arrive.
*Seafood Paella ($26.90) looks so appetising and is chock full of fresh prawns, mussels and calamari. A seafood lovers delight, it rates 4.5!
*Lamb Cutlets ($29.90) comes with four meaty “fall-off-the-bone tender” lamb cutlets. This meal also rates 4.5!
* Pork Chop ($29.90) is so tender and moist my Mum declares it is the absolutely wonderful. She rates her meal a 5.0!
We finish our meal with a fantastic Sticky Date Pudding, an Affogato and a Cafe Latte. Barista Claire pours a great Fonzie Abbott coffee. A very good meal with a rating of 4.5! Kudos to our talented and creative Head Chef Natalie and her team. Wait staff are friendly and helpful we feel so welcomed here, improving the overall rating to 5.0! Good luck Soho Gardens. Highly recommended.

Don't let the 'pub' appearance fool you, the food we ate was delicious.
I had the bangers and mash. Came out hot and on a huge plate. I couldnt finish it all.
The chips are (what im assuming) hand cut and soooo yummy.
We went for happy hour and got some very cheap drink deals to.
Everyone at our table was happy with their meals and were absolutely stuffed- unfortunately no room for dessert but I did see they had sticky date pudding available so will be trying next time!
Great brunch option at Fairfield Gardens shopping centre. Good coffee, cold drinks and breakfast menu. Friendly and efficient staff so no problem there. Indoor or terrace seating with views out towards Robinson Park. Parking available either front or back of centre, as well as under the next door Aldi store. Evening menu looks good, will try that soon.
The food is absolutely delicious and service is excellent. Great location to host a party. Very reasonably priced with no compromise on quality and quantity. Very good coffee.
Have eaten here a couple times. Food is quite nice, especially the baked cheese and salmon fish cakes but the hot chips are terrible. I ordered them as a side and probably only ate 2. The service is very good. Friday nights have live music which is nice to listen to over a drink. I'd come back. Just not for the chips.
All staffs were very friendly and welcoming!:)
Had a wonderful time in here!!!!!
I will definitely come back again!!:)
Nice place for breakfast. Staff is friendly too. Definitely will come back again
Met with some friends here tonight for our first visit and it was great.
We were the stereotypical annoying couple in our group tonight who couldn’t find a babysitter and the staff were really accommodating and friendly. Food was super tasty, can’t fault any of it. Can’t stress enough how great the staff were, chef included (thanks for the bottle warming!).
