Discovered this bakery when I explored the next door Savour Cafe two week’s ago. Kept my promise to visit it so made a trip in the morning.
Upon arrival, there were some customers lined up for orders so I joined the queue. I aimed to taste its pie so ordered a chunked beef one.
Then I drove to another cafe for a take away flat white before my tasting.
Well, shape is different from a traditional round shape but oval instead. First bite with the impression of not so soft but not hard texture of the pastry. However, the filling and gravy are the heroes. Chunked beef is soft with slightly spicy from Indian herb. Overall the pie has its characteristic taste but $5.80 seems too pricy. Otherwise, a higher mark will be deserved.

I haven’t tried much of what they offer here but everything I have tried has been great. If you’re looking for something yummy to eat try the Davey sandwich it is amazing!!!
Can't work out the negative reviews here - it's a bakery guys! Not a 5 Star hotel! Awesome pies and sandwiches. I haven't tried the coffee so this one's all about those pies. The chilli has REAL kick!
I'm not sure why this place doesn't have a higher rating (?). It sounds like some items may be amazing & others not so. There seems to be trends in the negative reviews ie/ sausage rolls & pies (which are important to any bakery, but I'm generally unlikely to order).
I always get the sandwiches or quiche.
The sandwiches in particular are great. They are a bit expensive, but I ended up eating mine over two sittings . The chicken, Rueban & even egg salad were great.
The service by weekday staff in particular is a highlight. There is a young , tall, skinny guy who works there who could not possibly be any nicer.
Been again this morning, always pleasant.
I don't normally write reviews as I use this app for work. But I needed to write about this. I just had the best sausage roll of my life. A bit dear, but well worth it! I had the lamb and rosemary and I couldn't fault it. The staff was also friendly and pleasant. Can't wait to try their other goods!
This place is sweet - friendly staff, cool warehouse type decor and the baked goods are good for a bakery. They have a slightly uniformed, factory feel to their pasties which is a shame ( but then again normal these days) - however their chocolate smooches are filled with the most beautiful and thick ganache and their caramel tarts are topped with lustrous, thick caramel that's a perfect balance of sweet.
I haven't tried their savoury but I do see that the sausage rolls are pretty dear for the size being sold!
