Best coffee in bulimba, great brunch as well!
Found ourselves ambling around Bulimba between meals (yet again) last weekend, and he mentioned one of his favourite coffee spots in the area. I hadn't tried it before but thought it would be a nice opportunity to try it out, so we stopped by at Bellissimo for a snack and refreshment before dinner. As you would expect, food was via counter service. There were a few pastries on offer, but it would appear no full sized meals.
Amazing coffee and atmosphere. Tucked away in a quiet housing estate, with plenty of furnishings, plus a range of delicious desserts and coffee. Had their coffee jelly & Japanese Iced Filter, which was beyond heavenly! Will be back for more of this.
This place is always very busy, and its not surprising as their coffee is lovely. The outdoor area is dog friendly, and I mean very friendly. The staff clearly have a passion for woofers and you can see this in the hessian sacks for beds, water bowls and free dog treats. The food menu is quite limited due to the kitchen space, but if you like croissants and banana cake (like me) you won't care.
Having moved to the other side of town, I don’t frequent Bulimba anymore but it used to be my local. Totally 5 stars for coffee and service, just had to knock it down a little for the limited food offering. Always wished it could gourmet up the cabinet a little.
Can recall visiting Bellissimo when it first opened & they were not too pet friendly so we didn't hang around. Another visit & pets were everywhere so of course our pooch loved it. Think Bulimba is doggy heaven! First up coffee two flat whites double shots perfect strength for me. Brew was rich & smooth. Menu is simple fare. Basic sandwiches & wraps etc. I ordered the avocado with haloumi which was exactly that, avocado was in a nice chunky mash & haloumi was cooked well, a lemon wedge would have been a welcome addition but all good.
group. Their multi award-winning beans and extended selection of single origins. prompted me to visit the roasting house at Bulimba. The decent sized. establishment houses a small indoor and alfresco area. Beside the brew bar is. where all action happens: sorting, roasting, cooling and packing coffee beans.
Excellent service, fast and efficient. Rarely have to wait very long at all considering how busy they can be. Very good coffee, I'm a cyclist, so I should know.
Stopped by for a morning coffee and snack. Coffee was very well made, smooth and no bitterness. Had a expresso and and tried partners mocha - sweet, smooth and creamy, yum! Service was a little slow and few things on menu were already 'sold out' at 8am, other then this great coffee indeed.
Nicest smoothest coffee I have tasted in a long while...I'm not a fan of strong or bitter coffee so this brand is perfect! The outlet appearance is very low key and doesn't invite you in, which is a shame...because I think it could attract much more trade based on the quality of it's coffee if it improved in a number of areas. Maybe use better signage, add some pot plants, bit more shade/awning for comfort, and offer a few more things on the menu...small and quiet is good but the menu needs a bit of work. It's the nicest coffee in Bulimba...and u can get a car park!
Fantastic, smooth coffee served by friendly staff in a relaxed environment. It is also nice to get away from the main part of Oxford Street where the parking is easier. Just what my morning requires.
My husband and I had coffees which were lovely and a nice sweet biscuit which was also tasty. The chicken and avocado panini we had for lunch was average- the panini tasted like it had been sitting in the cabinet for a long period of time... A cute cafe set up :-)
Pretty cool looking coffee shop that also serves light bites. Inside a warehouse at the end closest to the ferry. Enjoyed my breakfast but my milkshake came in a takeaway coffee container which was weird. Service was relatively friendly.
Quality Coffee. Bellissimo is located in a large, but breezy, warehouse. The decor and ambiance would draw divergent opinions as it dosen't encourage a long stay. It has some outdoor tables also. A coffee roaster and wide range of blends are available. Just tried a take away long black. Found the taste full flavoured with no bitterness and a nice smooth finish. A variety of cakes available including the biggest muffins I've seen for a while - worthwhile to share I suggest. All in all the coffee is what makes the visit worthwhile and this appears to be their strength.
Everything I expected. It was exciting to find out the Bellissimo crew were going to open another store in Bulimba. I’ve always liked going to the Fortitude Valley cafe and hoped this one was going to be just as good. I’ve only tried the coffee and muffins, but I can’t complain. Delicious and fresh! The coffee and other goodies can be enjoyed outside or inside (the retro type tables match the industrial and warehouse feel). Alternatively, go for a sit or stroll along the riverside just around the corner, or a stroll up Oxford St. Bellissimo Coffee is a reliable inclusion for a relaxing morning or afternoon in the neighbourhood :).
Best coffee in bulimba. Hands down
Great Coffee. Great coffee, probably the best in Bulimba. Only tried the cakes and muffins, but they are as tasty as the coffee!
Fantastic coffee and also an amazing selection of beans. The atmosphere is terrific and has a real authentic vibe. The food is served hot and fast. I moved from Melbourne in 2021 and this has to be one of my top “must try” spots in Brisbane.
Only feedback I would give is to possibly try and line the table orders up as my friends were finishing their breakfast when I received my meal to my table - possibly a question about how many are ordering food at your table or something along those lines.
Such a beautiful cafe in Bulimba. Their coffee was amazing and probably one of the best I’ve had in Brisbane. Staff was very warm and knowledgeable about the food and coffee. The food we tried was delicious and we only wish there was more selection. Will return for sure.
Bellissimo is one of our favourite roasters in Brisbane, and we visit Bellissimo in Bulimba as it's fairly easy to find parking around here. We also like to take a walk by the river after our coffee sessions.
The vibe has definitely changed since the upgrade, and it took us a while to get used to it. It's not a bad change, it's just different. I really like the new tables, chairs and serveware. I don't think they serve all the coffee bean varieties available at the Fortitude Valley store, but the coffees themselves are good here. Overall, we always have a good experience here and I'm sure it'll be the same in the future.
Bellissimo is always packed- and for good reason ! It was our first visit since the new renos (I’m an introvert who hates crowds) we came early and found a quiet table at the back - this place us lush 🥰
Can I say, I think one of the best things to come out of Covid is QR code ordering - find a free table and order to your hearts content on your phone, service straight to table - it makes me so happy ☺️
I ordered the popular Bircher and an almond flat white - we already know the coffee is going to be amazing (only critique was it needed to be hotter - it was warm at best) - but the food 🤤 the photo speaks for itself and great value at $13.50 - no that’s not a typo !! Easily $16 at other locals - kid you not - one bowl and I was more than satisfied - the coconut yogurt and nut / seed crumbs are 💯 %
Lovely service! Such a nice big space to have coffee in. Food menu is ok, would recommend the Cooparoo store more if you want more options. Lots of tapas style food and really cool to see some more unique cocktails and wines available
As always coffee was excellent
Great coffee and food.
Would be nice to have the option to specify vegan on some veg options with the qr ordering.
Also cocktails were amazing.
