Review Sushi Train - Brisbane

Nice sushi ever!!! Salmon, eel, sashimi all perfect. Definitely come back again

My partner and I absolutely loved coming here at sushi train eight mile plains, however they’ve recently changed their menu, and raised their prices from $4.50 for two pieces to $7 for two. Sushi size was also smaller. We asked and they’ve mentioned it’s business decision to cut cost but honestly we wouldn’t be coming back again as I can’t justify the price increase. Will be going else where for a sushi fix. Very disappointed and I hope they realize their decision isn’t that great.

Very good food and service as always however there are no menus available anymore - we are now asked to scan (with what?! No instructions available) to view the menu. Maybe not an issue for younger generations but definitely for me as I don't have the latest mobile phone model. I have no idea if a transition period was offered but I'll be definitely looking for a more customer friendly alternative sushi place.

Would like to give a massive shoutout to Arisa who was fantastic tonight. I’ve had an awful day, and her customer service was amazing. She went out of her way to make sure my night was better. Food is always delicious and always highly recommend. Vibe is always lovely and am always here regularly :)

One of my favourite place to eat. Not just for the food but the great fast service and the friendliness. I have been going here since it's doors opened and I can never fault it. The sushi is absolutely fresh and you can always ask for a fresh order to be made as well. I will always go to this sushi place.

Food is good but sushi train is too empty.. Had to literally order everything off the menu.

Mixed experiences and wish they were open later!!! Staff can sometimes forget about you! Food is great though, and the mayo going around is delicious. However, their booth can only fit up to 4-6 people max, so not great for big groups. Enjoyable as a date night or a catch up. Sometimes awkward when you leave and have to wait for a staff member to come tally up your bill and then pay for it.

After eating at Eight Mile Plains for about 7 years now they have suddenly turned it into a "sub station" in where HALF of the delcious sushi that we all love has been completely taken off the menu. The prices have gone up and some plates which have usually been serving two pieces of sushi have been reduced to one piece. I am extremely disappointed.

Best sushi train. I love their aburi menu especially the scallops. The sauce that comes with it is unique and delicious! They also have very fresh sashimi. Can get very busy on weekends so go early to beat the crowds!!

I went there tonight just wanting to get a quick bite. I don't normally write reviews but here goes... The place was pretty busy so we waited for our turn to sit down at the sushi bar. Food was generally satisfactory. Nothing to sing or dance about. I find them rather similar to some other Sushi Train I've been to in Brisbane.

However, the service was bad and the first I've came across in the last 13 years living in Australia. I ordered a ramen, sashimi and seaweed ship with the chef. He then took out a plate of cold sashimi from the fridge under the bar. For the next 20 minutes I waited patiently for my other orders but never came. All of them were so busy making sushi for the take away orders and there was probably only ~10 plates left on the train and it was only 8pm!

I asked the other waitress for my order and she talked to the girl making ramen in the bar in Japanese. I gave it another 10minutes and still didn't see any effort to make the ramen for me. I was very disappointed and greatly puzzled as to what the problem was. I am sure they understand simple English, plus there was only 1 ramen on the menu. Not hard is it?!!

I left in frustration and paid $32 for 1 green tea, 1 miso soup and 5 plates of sushi that I can hardly choose from the train. I will never go near this place again. I can't believe they make so many take away orders while I waited for my ramen that never came...

Extremely fresh sushi - with interesting specials! Very clean setting with very friendly service. We come here every few weeks and have not been disappointed. Gets busy during peak hours (6-7.30pm) So be aware you may have to wait for a table, even on a weeknight. Totally worth it though!!

Was quite busy place, though a nice place for sushi. :) Good variety of dishes and service was not bad. The eel was especially tasty.

-27/02/16

Have come here many a times with family. Find compared to other sushi trains, this outlet here has consistently been fresher, sushi has been better quality and taste than other branches. Place gets quite popular on weekends during lunch times and no wonder too! Definitely a favourite sushi train restaurant here.

Without a doubt, the Sushi Train in Warrigal Square, at Runcorn, is one of the most restaurants popular of the chain. When I go to Cha Kee or Rice Paper, one of the things I often note is how packd it is even when at full price. . With the anniversary sale last Saturday, I could not resist going and trying it for ourselves. With our anticipated wait, we attended at 10:30am in hope of avoiding the 11:00am crowds. Unsurprisingly, there was already a small crowd of people waiting.

Best Sushi Train there is, always has amazingly fresh food and the service is always welcoming. We go out of our way to go to this store as it never lets us down!

We wanted to try Rice Paper Vietnamese Cuisine (Warrigal Square)but it was packed and there was a queue of people waiting for tables... So we went into the Sushi Train next door instead. I'm glad we did. The sushi was fresh and the service was quick. Flavour wise, they are almost on par with the Greenslopes Sushi Train.

Have been to this sushi train many times since it opened. This outlet always provides freshly-made sushi. The service there is pretty good too.

Sushi Train can been said to be one of the very successful franchising food outlets in Australia. Although there are some of the individual franchisee may sell their business (such as the one at Market Square Sunnybank) and leave the game, there are lots of busy store that are outstanding. Look at the Sushi Train running at Eight Mile Plain of Warrigal Square Food Precinct. It is always packed with diners. I think it's ambient, service and quality control are the key roles of successful. Price is reasonable with respect to the food provided. Whenever I like to have a sushi day, this store is one of my option.

Disappointing. Not up to the expected sushi train standard. Ordered meal was half the size of every other sushi train I been to

Best sushi Southside. I have food allergies and it has been hard to find places to eat. I never get sick after eating here. They make whatever you request quickly and it doesn't take long to get a seat if they are busy. The staff and chefs are so friendly and attentive. I love the points system they have so you can get free sushi! The place to go if you love amazingly fresh sushi in a relaxed environment.

Favourite!. We eat here all the time - it is our go to place. The staff are friendly, the one chef always remembers us and makes our favourites for us asap. Fresh ingredients, great sushi.

Real japanese. Clean and food is well presented
very disappointed with their service;
not a great place to eat when you have more than 2 people in your group
customers tend to linger excessively when they are seated at a booth which makes waiting for a booth excessively long.

My fav sushi train in Brisbane. Close to home, fresh and lots of variety. Only negative is one or two staff ladies are quite rude
Hungry Puppies
This Sushi Train is the best in South Brisbane. End of comment

It's always busy so the sushi is fresh but the staff, one in particular is very rude, apart from this, this is my fav sushi train in Brisbane

Much better than sunnybank sushi train. Much nicer than the one in sunnybank!! this sushi train has to be one of the better ones around, nice fresh ingredients, good service and clean!

This new sushi train serves much fresher seafood than most sushi trains around the area. Expect to pay similar rates as sushi trains aint cheap for what it is. I still enjoy it from time to time. I rate this 5.5/10

Herperderp
Like!. This is my favourite sushi train. Good location and good service! There's a great variety to choose from and you can eat there or take away. Of course, sushi trains are always a little on the expensive side especially if you are hungry. It's better to eat as a light meal.
LJ
Love this sushi train! Always has plenty of options on the train and all fresh! The staff Are a lot happier than other stores too.
Cindykg
The best sushi train I have ever had! The food is always fresh, tasty and offers a large selection on arrival- restaurant empty or not. Way better than the market square one
Lee
Great restaurant with a wide variety of fresh sushi. Very nice with polite staff.

Apart from the bullets in my California roll it was great!

The new addition of the chained sushi restaurant at Eight Mile Plains opened on 25th February 2011 at Warrigal Square, which is a good news to the southsiders as the Market Square shop is always packed with hungry customers and it is so so so difficult to find a carpark at Sunnybank too!
