Delicious food made fresh to order in a quiet but welcoming place. Lovely and attentive staff who are able to handle loads of takeaways and the dining patrons with grace.
Tried this local Indian restaurant based on the positive reviews on Zomato. I’d have to agree and say I enjoyed the meal, had the butter chicken/mild (still has a little kick) exactly what I was after, tasty
Best local Indian restaurant, we don’t go anywhere else now! I highly recommend everyone to try the Punjabi naan. Their curries are really flavourful and rich.
Very flavourful curries and the hotness is real! A little bit more expensive than other places and it’s not alcohol licensed (BYO is ok) so a quick trip up the street & I had beer and curry. Interior feels a little dingy, service is pretty quick and friendly though. Pretty nice experience overall 👍 recommend the goat korma 😋
Had a lovely dinner there, came in on a Thursday night without booking. It was like 7pm when we walked in there’s only 1 table that scares me.
But still wanna try out, order pretty quickly cause we know what we want, butter chicken, korma goat and a vege dish and some nann.
It actually got so many takeaway orders and when is like 730 more people showed up and filled the restaurant.
Back to the food, we ordered mostly hot and is really hot but yummy. And yes I think the butter chicken and korma goat is a must order now in here. Don’t really recall any other places do goat and lamb.
our relatives usually use another Indian restaurant , however I decided to choose a different restaurant....Vindaloo Blue !... We ordered for take away and as we approached the restaurant , the aroma of the spices indicated the style of cuisine on offer. We ordered 4 dishes including butter chicken , mango chicken and two others I cannot remember how to spell ( tub of rice is supplied with each dish ). service 5/5, speed 5/5, flavour 5/5, value 5/5. As a visitor from Sydney I was pleasantly surprise. Great food, highly recommended.
So delicious.
With Indian restaurants I find the more elaborate the decor the less authentic the food.
This place is a certainly no frills but their meals are delicious and the service is so genuinely pleasant. It's a little family run business and the curries taste like they do in India.
Favourites: Chicken Nisha and Butter Chicken.
pleasure to have found this little gem of a place, had the butter chicken and it was delicious, prices are reasonable and include free rice, friendly service but most importantly the food was great and great portion sizes also, please keep doing what ur doing and don't change lol ive been looking for a good indian place for a long time.
Thoroughly enjoyed this meal.
Would recommend this to all my friends.
My wife had the korma and I had the rogan josh.
Both great.
Will keep this place as a favorite.
Love the spinach and cheese naan bread! The city is authentic and generous in size. Delicious flavours that are punchy, extremely spicy and so addictive. Definitely will be returning
A great restaurant to eat :) Lovely find. The naan bread and korma was great. The Goat Korma was especially amazing, tender and meat fell right off the bone.

We ordered takeaway from Vindaloo Blue the other night because we had heard from a friend that it was great.
We ordered butter chicken and a medium lamb korma as well as naan and papadums over the phone and the wait time was 20 minutes. When we picked up our order we discovered the restaurant was pretty big with outdoor seating as well and nice decorations.
I really enjoyed both meals and one meal can easily feed two people if you get an extra serve of rice. The flavour were great and we need to eat here again so I can try their hotter meals. With meals averaging at $16 it's great value and the service is friendly.
Love this place! We always order the same thing but it's always good. Love the naan and tikka masala. Great friendly service and late night option in Calamvale.
Slightly overpriced in my opinion, around $16 to $20 per person. But the food was solid and the curry is better than Miss India down the street. Would go again.
Best Indian in Brisbane. I have tried many of the dishes at Vindaloo Blue and have enjoyed them all immensely.
Good value and delicious. Highly recommend!!
Excellent food and service with reasonable prices. I have been to this place twice, I have tried good almost in every Indian restaurant but these guys are on top. some restaurant put very strong spices in food to give a kick to flavours. Eventually this is the best restaurant in brisbane.
We've dined here regularly, and each time have been thrilled with the food. Nothing pretentious just great food, good friendly service at reasonable prices. Can't ask for anything more!
Very very good restaurant. Quality food with amazing customer service in very timely manner. We will sure recommend this place to everyone who wants good indian food. Thanks a lot
Tried this restaurant for the first time and loved it! I'm glad I live local :) I would recommend korma, butter chicken and naan bread!
Really delicious food main thing staff and owner they respectful they already had booked full...but still they give us a table and very good customer service...
Thanks Vindaloo Blue
Delicious food, prompt take away service. The naan, namely punjabi and the cheese naan, is an absolute must try.
Authentic and delicious!. The food here is wonderful. I've never been to india, but I reckon this is one of the best indian restaurants in Bris. The waiter was very friendly and attentive. I had a mushroom subji, which was packed full of flavour, not oily and the mushrooms were very soft. I ordered garlic naan, which was very fresh and yum. The menu has a spiel about "Bobby" who has been a chef in authentic indian cuisine for 25 years. It shows! It's a wonderful restaurant and I will endeavour to go here more often.
Best best best best Indian ever!! The food is amazing and is matched equally by the service. Love this little place, if you decide to go on a Friday or Saturday night definitely book ahead as they are usually packed out. If I had to say anything bad it would be the decor could use a bit of a touch up, but in saying that its not like I'm gonna be eating the decor. Best Indian in Brisbane.
Love love love this place. The food is beautiful, lovely atmosphere sitting outside at night time. East
I'm not the type to write reviews about restaurants, in fact this is my first review ever. However, I love this place so much that I just had to and was absolutely delighted when I saw that this small family run restaurant has been receiving all the rave reviews that it deserves.
To put it simply, it's the most authentic North Indian cuisine you'll find in Brisbane. I've tried all over from North Side to the CBD to West End and this small restaurant in the South Side takes the cake. The service is extremely friendly and very warming.
Bobby takes care of the kitchen prep and cooking and his son manages the front. A family run restaurant executed perfectly. I've been going here for 2 years now and have never looked back. Try it!!!
Best Indian restaurant in Brisbane hands down. I live only 5 minutes from Westend but still happily drive down south to Calamvale for this food. You won't get any more authentic North Indian cuisine than Vindaloo Blue.
Usually when dining in at Indian/Asian restaurants the service can be a bit average due to the language barrier, however here all front of house staff speak fluent English which makes asking questions and chit chat quite enjoyable.
You won't regret trying it.
Amazing restaurant. I'm a local regular of this restaurant and have introduced many people to Vindaloo Blue and they have all loved everything about it!
Try it!
Ate here last week with a group of my girlfriends after recommendation from a colleague. Food was delightful, probably the best Indian food I have had! Go for the garlic naan and punjabi naan with the chicken tikka masala and lamb madras, and you can't go wrong. The young wait staff were very friendly and prices were reasonable as well! Definitely a winner!
So glad I discovered this place!. Best tasting Indian I've had in ages. You won't find watered down curry here and the meals are generous is size. Will be back asap.
Love it!. Best indian! I always get the chicken tikka masala, its rich and delicious in flavour. The chicken is nice big pieces and to die for! Im thankfully a local, however I would still recommend others to travel for this food!
Hidden gem. One of the best Indian restaurants around. Standout dishes include Lamb Madras, Chilli Chicken, Chilli Prawn and Chilli Naan. Service was very fast and efficient. Reasonable price and dish size. Definitely recommend this place
Great food service fab and you should try the goat definitely value for money
Absolutely delicious, possibly the best Indian I've ever had. Meat samosas, butter chicken and garlic naan are all top notch.
Worth the Journey. Most definately worth the journey out to Calamvale for this curry. The Muglai Chicken was probably one of the best curries I've ever had. Prawn Pakora as a starter was oustanding as well.
Outstanding curry !! Very friendly service and fantastic food . Bobby is a legend. Try the north Indian dishes. You wont find a better one in bris. Worth the journey out!
