Honestly, I prefer Japanese dumpling to Chinese, but this shop totally changed my mind because their dumplings are quite mouth-watering, especially the chicken and prawn dumplings, soft on the outside and perfectly tasty from the pepper on the inside. Besides, I was attracted by a mixture of the colour of dumplings in green, pink, yellow and white. --- It's a perfect spot to try!
Went on a Thursday night and was surprised how busy it was. Always a good sign! Got the vegetarian pig dumplings (they were so good, had a coconut flavour which I loved), the soup dumplings which were also great, chicken and prawn wontons which were good but just needed some more flavour and wagyu fried dumplings which were so good!! Highly recommend it for a good chjnese meal. Saw people eating the noodles too and they looked amazing.
The menu is pretty straightforward and to get things going, we ordered the chicken noodle soup for Grace. The portion was fairly generous and the chicken base soup was all right. Grace really enjoyed their noodles and could not stop slurping.
Had a Sunday lunch here last month. It was amazing, it was. It was very busy although the location is inside the car park area. We ordered the XLB, Wonton in Chili sauce and a dish of Rainbow dumplings. XLB and the Wonton in Chili Sauce are just passable because we had better one somewhere else before. Having said that the hero should be the Rainbow dumpling. It is a good idea to have different color of pastry to make various dumplings with different ingredients. Thumb up!

A quick eats stop for a Wednesday night. They have really done well with this little precinct, boasting of lots of little food experiences!
A nice casual place to go for a feed, they use iPad devices on each table so you can order your food. The service is ok, I don’t particularly like the ticketing system they use when there is a line waiting for a table, it just seems a little impersonal.
Food came out reasonably quick and was very flavoursome. Might be back, but not in a hurry.

My favourite dumpling place in Brisbane! The cabbage and chicken dumpling is a must have. Also the shallot pancake. It’s always quite busy, so I recommend booking in advance
Quite busy on Friday night . Foods were beautiful and service was good . The menu on the banquet was a bit confusing and need some clarification .
Before seeing ‘Crazy Rich Asians’ at the Newmarket cinema, my boyfriend and I decided to get some dumplings at Little Red Dumpling. We had previously been to another location and had decided that we wanted to see how the
Newmarket dumplings shaped up.
Like the VP location, the restaurant is extremely clean and in great condition. The dim lighting in the restaurant provides for an intimate setting, however my only bit of criticism is that the tables were a bit too close together.
We ordered three items, the Xiao Long Bao, the wontons in red chilli sauce and the wagyu beef pan fried dumplings (I can’t find the item on the online menu, it might exclusive to Newmarket).
The Xiao Long Bao were good but the skins were a little bit dry, we have had better ones at the Victoria Point location. But on the inside, the soup was nice, flavourful and hot.
The wagyu beef pan fried dumplings were tasty and hot. They were extra nice when dipped in a bit of soy sauce and vinegar! But the star of the show was definitely the wontons in the chilli sauce - with a silky wrapper, yummy filling, delicate broth and a hint of flavoured salt on top, this dish is a winner! I would highly recommend it to everyone.
I thoroughly enjoyed my dumplings and we will definitely be returning in future.
Always love coming to this place with the family. Food is delicious and tasty and comes out fast! Favorite dumpling restaurant! Have been four times since it opened and never had a bad experience. They get quite busy so make a reservation if you can!
Love this place! Be prepared to wait in line or be smart and book a table because it’s always busy here. The dumplings are amazing and well priced, my personal favourite are the pork dumplings and the xiao long bao’s. The hedgehog deserts are adorable and unique. The only down side is they sell out of the large soup dumplings very early in the night so you might miss out if you go later then 7:00pm. Otherwise this place is brilliant!
Little Red Dumpling does a very tasty braised beef noodle soup. The beef brisket was perfectly moist, tender, sweet and savoury. Service was good. Noodles and dumplings are priced correctly - around 10 dollars per serve. Unlike the many other restaurants that charged significantly more for substand dumplings. Also had the xiao long bao. this was average. Just note that their dumplings and xiao long baos are not made fresh, they are cooked from frozen. I will be back for their beef noodle soups.
Decided to visit Little Red Dumpling at Newmarket yesterday for its opening night. The entire menu was half price so it was definitely value for money! Whilst it was quite busy, the staff remained relatively efficient and all of our dishes were delicious. However, we were disappointed that the big soup buns didn’t seem to have any soup in them despite being served with a straw (forgot to snap a picture of these). We also had a couple of ordering mix ups and the restaurant appeared to not yet have glasses (they were instead serving drinks in plastic). I suspect these are just teething issues and overall it was a promising start. The shop is also in a great location at Newmarket Village - right near the new cinemas!
