Got my coffee fix today at Cartel Coffee. Great coffee and good service. Very popular with return customers and my med cap only cost me $4. Quite cheap compared to the other cafes. The coffee itself was very nice. I would definitely go back for that coffee.
Service at Cartel Coffee is always nice and friendly. They're very apologetic if there's a bit of a wait. Haven't had a bad coffee yet. I only wish that it was a bit closer to work so I could visit more frequently.

I got Invisalign in December and have now converted my on-the-go coffee to a iced skinny lattes because hot drinks morph the plastic. What a fantastic opportunity to take an hour each week to search the streets of Brisbane of the ultimate iced coffee drink! It's summer, it's hot and I am sure I am like most that must have their morning coffee hit, but honestly how many people can drink hot when it is hot?
I set off on foot this morning in the search for somewhere totally different, somewhere I haven't yet been to in order to suss out the coffee front. Cartel Coffee is located just outside of the King George Station (step outside and walk 20m to the Adelaide St exit). Such a cosy little joint amongst the hustle of the city and such a convenient location too! The grind is their own signature Cartel Coffee bean, and in my large skinny iced latte (no sugar thanks) it was smooth and not too overpowering. The large was a perfect size the coffee did not tasted diluted with milk at all. Loved this joint, the beans and the service! Thanks Cartel!
Adorable Staff. I loved going to the little coffee cartel outside Officeworks. The Don is an adorable man who takes the time to learn your order and clearly has a passion for coffee - it just so happens that the temperature of his machine is a tiny bit too high, which makes the normal brews a bit bitter. I'm not sure if this is improved in the shopfront for this brand, but it doesn't detract for the overall experience. The staff take the time to learn your name, your order and chat to you while they make your coffee, which is my favourite part of the cafe experience. It might be small, but it's a great place to go!
Dozens of coffees from here, never a miss.
Cartel coffee (the Adelaide street cart) has constantly provided a wonderful blend of coffee, made well, by friendly baristas.
Today I grabbed another coffee from Cartel (first in months!) and it truly reminded me how great this little cart outside office works is.
Friendly baristas some of whom have been consistent for years make Cartel a sure fire visit on this side of the CBD.
Loyalty program is good as well.
This place rules. I'm a bit of a coffee snob and the blend here is excellent. Staff are always friendly and efficient. Loyalty cards are a plus too.
Great coffee. I have a coffee from Cartel Coffee almost every morning and it's always great. I order soy flat white which is often hard to make really nicely (and not taste like cardboard) but the guys nail it every time. This morning was probably the best coffee I've ever had and thought to write a review as a result. Would recommend this place to anyone!
Cartel Coffee - Brisbane CBD. It is very quiet on a Sunday in the Central Business District, even within the Queen Street Mall area. Walking around the place after returning some items to the library, I had not too much do to urgently so it was for a bit of a detour. With not much catching the eye on that detour, it was time to head off to the bus - but I still had a slight determination to get a cup of coffee. On King George Square, a persistent detour uncovered an unreal sight - a coffee place open on Sunday, yay!
Coffee carts can only really make do with the space that they have; Cartel is at a bit of an advantage in that area. Most of the seating is behind the bus stop bench and it is in a quieter area just next to the stationary store and down the stairs from King George Square.
The barista here is not the quickest, I have seen slower service. However, he is organised and friendly.
I will say I like the coffee here - there is a moderate strength in ordering a double-shot cappuccino (nothing that will take you by surprise) and it is done by a talented barista. On the side I got a Rocky Board cookie, since it sounded really interesting. Much to say, it was actually pretty good and did not have the tacky aesthetics and after-taste that the more ambitious kinds of sweets tend to have.
In this part of the (relatively) tiny city area, this is one place I might go to more often.
Best coffee.....cartel = family....I wouldn't dare go elsewhere
The best coffee in the city yummy and quality service
It's an amazing cafe shop, kindly staff always use their smile to talk with you and their long black and flat white exactly meet my flavour.
Fantastic coffee, made exactly how you like it because they genuinely want to give you the best experience they can. The coffee has a good depth and great mouthfeel, no bitterness at all and they serve it hot, not lukewarm like it is served at many places. The staff are friendly, efficient and try hard to make your coffee to your individual preference. Marina is especially delightful and makes excellent coffee. There is a nice casual vibe here and it's well priced.
Good quality coffee. Given a double shot for free. Who can complain!!
Great coffee, flat white with 2 shots of smooth south american blend with a brilliant aftertaste - just how I like it! Served by a couple of neat guys with a happy, peaceful manner, even with the current virus situation. Highly recommended! Oh and yes Byron Bay cookies 🙂
Good coffee with fairly good prices. Small 3.5,$ medium 4$ and big 5$
