Fantastic coffee, stopped in for 2 takeaway lattes, one was on alternative milk one full cream. Both were made perfectly, service was good and a very reasonable price. Highly recommend a coffee from this cafe

The coffee is good, a little bitter but good. We were greeted by a man who was welcoming, and there was a few young people who were friendly and welcoming also. The issue we had was the older lady, who by the sounds of it was the owner. We were sat on the couch and could hear her quite clearly (not that she was trying to be discreet). She was on a war path with her employees, telling them off, saying words like unacceptable. It seems there is no chef here, and the young ones are taking it in turns to cook the food. The owner was abrupt and far to assertive. We left due to feeling uncomfortable. Such a shame. My advice, employ a chef. It seemed the owner was stressed and lashing out. It could all be avoided if the staff were more experienced or were doing duties within their capacity. I doubt it was just us who felt uncomfortable. There were customers looking over with concerned looks on their faces. Great potential but just a poor system and a cranky owner :/

Just moved into the area and on moving day needed some sustenance. Had a delicious meat pie, went back the next morning for a cracking bacon & egg roll, and a coffee! Thanks for keeping us fueled during the move!

We love having this gem in our neighborhood! The food is amazing and reasonably priced, it's run by friendly and welcoming people, and the atmosphere is comfy and laid-back. Anyone who comes to visit us gets taken to Haven for breakfast at least once. :)

This place serves consistently good coffee - and remembers what you had from the last visit. Ambiance is a bit so so, however, staff are friendly and efficient. Situated in a fairly quiet street, this is a nice little relaxed hideaway.

Great experience!!😀 I took my grandson for a walk to get him to sleep but to no avail!. Stopped for a coffee at Haven Espresso. Staff so helpful and caring. Got toys for him and served delicious iced coffee!😀

One of my fave places to go for food and coffee! The two owners are so lovely and friendly. This place has such good vibes and it’s a really comfortable atmosphere. Would highly recommend this place to everyone :)

After I read the very positive reviews of this cafe, I was confused how Zomato worked out the average review score of 2.8 so explored it this morning. Well, vibe gave me a very warm feeling of having breakfast at home. Service was good from the nice couple who l believe should be the owners. It was my first time that I had coffee made from the Bear Bone although I drove past the original Bear Bone’s cafe many times in the Valley. Coffee was made under the option of strong one but it was slightly under to satisfy my palate. However, it was smooth with strong fragrance. The scramble egg with smoked salmon came in a huge portion and I could not finish it so decided to give up the bread. Loved to have the capers on top of the smoked salmon that gave enough saltiness to the dish. Overall, I will rate this cafe 4/5 but definitely not 2.8

Haven is always friendly, has good inexpensive food (try the dill and feta eggs on toast. Yum!) and really nice coffee. Great vibe. Also very welcoming for families with colouring books for the kids and don't judge us when we finish and the table looks like the kids have set off an atomic bomb.

Good local cafe with nice strong coffee. Simple breakfast options which were very fresh and tasty. Funky decor and nice staff. Will be back😀 also you must try the homemade raspberry jam, perfect level of tartness and not super sweet.
