The coffees were so good and probably the best coffee we have had in Brisbane and then the food arrived..the food here was delicious and well made, with fresh produce. Friendly and helpful customer service. Highly recommend.

My new favourite. New to the area, trying new places. Quality, fresh food, and thoughtfully seasoned. Zucchini fritters are well worth a try, couldn't wait to take a pic before I started.

Very nice Cafe inside the IBM building. You order and pay at the counter. When you sit down you get a bottle of tap water. The food, both the açai and the granola bowl were fantastic. The drinks also were really good, only thing what could be improved are the straws, they’re using plastic straws.

Delicious breakfast and friendly staff. Had the big breakfast and was a good sized meal. Only thing that could have been improved was if the sausage was cooked a little more, but was still fine. Happy to come back in future.

Ed definitely serves one of the best coffees in the CBD, the coffee never disappoints. It can get really busy in the mornings of working days but the quality of the coffee and the service definitely worth the wait. Very polite and friendly staff especially the two baristas.

The halloumi stack was next level. Thr perfect balance of flavours, and a hint of spice from the dukkah. The garlic toast was the perfect base for the dish. The cafe itself had a lovely calm atmosphere, relaxed blues and greens, wooden furniture and pretty wallpaper. It didn't feel like I was in inner city brisbane and did not feel like I had to rush at all. The coffee was a little bitter for me and the poached egg slightly overcooked but they are easily fixed. Would definitely recommend :)

My coffee had to be takeaway as the staff said they were due to close in 15mins. They also weren't excepting cash, so had to use my card. Coffee was passable but not quite hot enough for my taste

Had coffee and sandwich here yesterday. The location of the cafe and its ambience is quite nice. Its housed at the ground floor or the IBM building.
The lady serving us food was a bit rude though but did serve us some sandwich. Paid for pulled pork sandwich but got chicken instead.
FOODIE ADVENTURE
Wasn't a fan. The place looked good and l thought surely l would get good coffee but l would it to be quite average sadly. The coffee tasted weak and l asked for extra hot and again l got a luke warm coffee in a very pretty cup. The service was unpleasant too. Staff seemed uninterested. Overall average experience.

Thought I had uploaded this review months ago but something must have gone wrong 😮 sorry ED cafe! For real though, had one of the best nourish bowls I’ve ever had here! All of the elements were delicious and came together perfectly. The Smokey tomatoes and fermented cabbage with the tangy seasoned mashed avo were my favourite parts but the poached egg and soft sweet pumpkin was also excellent. Have just moved into an office just down the road from these guys and am very excited to make many return trips.

Stopped in for an iced latte on a hot Brisbane morning. The coffee and service were great. The cafe is busy and noisy (concrete floors and other hard surfaces for noise to bounce around). The menu looks good, but coffee was all that I needed.

What a lovely cafe!! My friend and I really enjoyed the atmosphere. The place was nicely decorated and cozy. Despite the busy morning, they are so friendly and helpful. It didnt take a long time to get our foods ready. I had salt and pepper calamari for my brunch which was really appetizing. The calamari was well cooked and tender. The sriracha aioli was the highlight. It was flavoursome. My friend also enjoyed her choice: egg your ways with bacon. We really enjoyed our meals. Thanks for the invitation and enjoyable meals. The foods are not only beautifully presented but also scrumptious!!

If you are in the city and trying to find a new spot to go!!! This is it!!! Is just behind the central train station inside an office building but I promise you that the place ain’t commercial at all. I love how relaxing it is seeing the green wall and the birds on the wall.
I love the big ed for lunch!!! Just like starting my morning late :) but keeping me content for the rest of the day. And iced coffee yum yum been longing for one since last summer ends haha iced coffee is back to my tummy now! Or if u work close u can always grab and go coffee from their little window in the morning

A few of my readers and followers may have noticed recently that when I can, I've decided to make a point to get a late brunch on Fridays to get myself in the mood for a relaxing weekend, rather than carrying the stress and anxiety of work with me on my days off. To this point, I have tried several brunch spots in the main CBD area recently and nothing has really blown me away until I venture out to either the Gabba, Fortitude Valley or West End. So my quest continued, and I was lucky enough last Friday to receive an invitation from Troy and Arron, the owners of the Smug Fig, to try out their 7 month new cafe, ED cafe, hidden away in the foyer of IBM Building, up on Edward Street. Grabbing Spiderman with me, we made a trek up the hill past our usual temptations of Charboys and Taros.
