La Pinsa is the most incredible neighbourhood Italian. Their truffle pork gnocchi is to die for, as is any of the pinsas! The pizza base is just like one you would get in regional Italy. Highly recommend for flavour and amazing atmosphere. The owner is also a delightful Italian man.
I dined here with a group of friends last Friday. It had such a charming setting and gave me a homely warm fuzzy feeling (most likely because of all the red wine I ended up consuming there...) I ordered the spaghetti ai gamberi which pairs fleshy prawn cutlets with diced pancetta and I honestly can't fault the dish. I did, however add their house-made chilli oil which was a personal preference. The portion was quite large and filling and we recieved our food promptly.
In pizza we crust & the Roman pinsa method used here involves skill & care which you can taste in the end product, as we did from our first home delivery order for both La Pinsa & Deliveroo.
The Diavola and Salsiccia & Pomodorini crusts were crisp yet pliable with zero sog factor & the latter was especially blessed by the pizza gods with puffed up blistered pockets of goodness. Toppings didn’t overcrowd the pizza - loved the tasty pork fennel sausage on one & the bite of the hot salami on the other. Only wish the sauce was more robust in flavour.
I’m all about quality over quantity so the honest simplicity underpromised & overdelivered for me. If we can finally get a table at this homely trattoria in the back terraces of Paddo one night (believe me we’ve tried!), we’ll dine in soon.
We love La Pinsa! Go there regularly for its fresh pizza bases and delicious pasta. But most of all La Pinsa staff are consistently warm and generous in their hospitality. It's a little home away from home. Go La Pinsa you good thing!! Genuine Italia!
Pretty good food. The Margherita pizza was great although was a little to cheesy but the crust was perfect. Service was a bit confusing, for example byo on Monday and Tuesday but not on other days, but still is a pretty good restaurant.
We had such a good night! The gnocchi was soft and tasty with a well-balanced truffle sauce and my partner’s prawn spaghetti was delicious. The atmosphere is special, it has a neighbourhood feel and the Decor makes the place feel cosy. We took our on-year-old twins and their penne was amazing and they gobbled it down. It was our first night taking the babies out for dinner and the staff were very accomodating, they had at least four high chairs there and when I went to clean up after the babies twice, but they insisted I didn’t. The babies food also came really quickly, which all helped making it a really easy and special night! Great atmosphere and service too. The price was also very reasonable, or you could even describe it as cheap! Our new favourite spot!
Nice little restaurant. Friendly and quick service and the pizza's were yummy (the bases were really good!). Great to also see they have a kids menu.
We have been twice as a family and have found the restaurant to be really warm and the food really good.
They are great with kids and the food selections have always been fantastic (we have entrees, mains pizza and pasta and desserts and all great!). Really top quality Italian food - highly recommend going.
It’s great it’s BYO too!
Lovely staff and service, simple cosy ambience, allowing the delicious and very reasonably priced food to star. Our group of 6 had a faultless evening, with the gnocchi and mushroom sauce a star, the quattro queso pizza also amazing, along with other tasty dishes. Our two kids tore through their kids pizzas, and the desserts were also spot on. Thanks for a wonderful night!
Have been here twice now. A real authentic family feel. Simple Italian flavours-we loved every dish but the pork fennel bruschetta was unexpectedly a crowd favourite. Will visit again and again.
We celebrated my husband's birthday with our 4 adult sons and one wife on a Thursday night. This place was buzzing - easy to see why - beautiful fresh simple but perfectly constructed flavours in Italian pizza pasta entrees and dessserts. During the week it is BYO which for our lot made it even more attractive. The staff are authentic efficient and friendly. We had the works and found it to be very reasonably priced. I know this is going to become our "go-to" for casual Italian. It's everything we look for - brilliant food and friendly lively atmosphere. Thanks for a very happy night.
Headed here last Thursday night with 2 other couples. Pizzas were tasty and authentic. Only tried 1 pasta dish that was ok. Service was very good. One of the best cheap and cheerful options we’ve come across. We’ll definitely be back.
Rarely do I give a five star review but everything at La Pinsa was as close to perfect as I could wish. It's an intimate place with great atmosphere, housed in what was once an old corner shop. The decor is suitably Italian and the service was friendly and professional. We had the lasagne and one of the tagliatelle dishes. Both were served piping hot - greatly appreciated on a winter evening! Support your local restaurant and give it a try.
Cute local Italian place tucked away in Paddington. Absolutely loved it! Beautiful food, wine and cutest vibe inside. People were super friendly and attentive. Definitely going back.
Best italian restaurant in Brisbane! Owned by Italians , you can taste the Italian passion! take away available but if you get the chance to dine in you'll feel like in a classic little Italian trattoria, 100% recommended!
La Pinsa is one of Brisbane's best Italian restaurants. Situated in Paddington overlooking the Brisbane CBD La Pinsa offers traditional Italian dishes including homemade pizza bases and pasta. Being a family business La Pinsa's atmosphere is warm and welcoming. The staff will happily discuss the menu in detail providing insight and passion into every dish. From truly memorable appetizers and mains to delightful deserts La Pinsa is a must for any lover of Italian cuisine. Forever my favourite Italian restaurant
Amazing, the pasta was on another level, home made by the owner just what I needed after a long day!
The staff are lovely and the venue, placed on the corner of the street over looking the city easily has the best views in Brisbane.
Definetely the best gluten free pizza in Brisbane! The base is awesome, it seems to eat a normal pizza. Regular pizzas are delicious too. Definetely recommended!
