My family are regulars at this restaurant, and have been for a long while now. It's actually improved a lot over the years, but the management and staff remain friendly and courteous. The food is actually some of the best Pakistani/Indian restaurant food I've eaten, and I eat it almost every day so. I always love their butter chicken and their naan, if nothing else, you must try this. Their other dishes are all quite good as well, including their saag and their fish fillet curry. The service is always good, and the food usually arrives quickly after ordering.
I really like Mirchi (convenient and reasonably priced) but I've noticed lately that after I have eaten their butter chicken or korma, I am left with a crazy thirst which I can't seem to quench no matter how much water I drink. Does anyone know what ingredient they might be using which is causing this? I've don't seem to have this happen at other Indian restaurants.
We used to live in Grange and found Mirchi the best suburban Indian takeaway nearby. Now 3 years on and 5 kms further away, we still get our Indian takeaway here. Great authentic flavours. We have tried ones nearer, but keep coming back. I've actually noticed that it is getting busier for dine in as well. Enough said. We usually have the butter chicken, palak paneer and bits and pieces. Highly recommended.
One of our favourites. Good quality and great service
Great selection from a pretty standard menu
Try ordering and have a beer around the corner at the PLOUGHMAN while you wait!
Have just moved to the area and were pretty chuffed to discover this local Indian restaurant. We went the takeaway option (rogan josh, saagwala, naan) and it was all pretty delicious. Good value, generous and delicious. Will definitely become regulars.
We accidentally stumbled upon this little Indian gem and we're glad we did!
We ordered eggplant and fish curries which came with complimentary rice. There were decent portions of eggplant and fish in the curries, and the serving sizes were just right. I would have preferred fresh fish fillets over crumbed fillets, as it made the skin slightly chewy.
Garlic naan was on point. The mango lassi was served warm, and to be honest I wasn't a great fan of it.
Other than that, it was an enjoyable meal, served by a friendly waitress.
This is the most reliably high quality Indian take-away I have had in Brisbane. For starters, the quality of their chicken - actual chicken breast pieces - is miles ahead of so many other Indian restaurants. I have tried most dishes on the menu over the years and all have been excellent.
I think it's such a shame that this place is mostly unknown. Do not fall for the rubbish Indian in New Farm and Teneriffe that attract so much popularity. They pale in comparison. I'm a New Farm local and I have to travel back to Mirchi to get great Indian.
Service has always been quick and the staff are always lovely whenever we go. Their butter chicken is my favourite of all time. Naan bread is also good.
Not bad. Food was good - expensive though. Would try again.
Delicious food, Great service!. Came here for the first time tonight as it was raining and we were too lazy to cook :)
We were greeted by a lovely man who had great knowledge of the menu and was able to make great suggestions which we were very pleased with when we got home and devoured it :) The food was reasonably priced and delicious, and customer service was exemplary.
Would recommend highly!
Very nice lamb madras curry. Garlic naan was good, could have a bit more garlic but still very nice. Raita also pretty nice but lacking enough cucumber. Overall the curry was a winner! Will definitely be back to try the other menu options. I ordered hot but wasn't very hot. Will try indian hot next time.
Great option for parties. My wife organised my surprise birthday (Bolloywood theme) party there. She said that they were very accommodating and so easy to deal with. They arranged a buffet for everyone at a very fair price and they even let us have the use of the main part of the restaurant all to ourselves so we could play games and have dancing.
It was a wonderful experience and I think this is the kind of small business everyone should support to help encourage 'good businesses' to flourish.
My boyfriend and I love Cafe Mirchi! We get take away meals about once a fortnight from here. The staff are friendly and definitely recognize us when we call to order, and most importantly, the food is delicious! Our favourites: spinach and cheese naans with butter chicken and medium-spiced rogan josh.
Amazing food. This restaurant is tucked away between Samford road and South Pine road, Alderley but well worthwhile stopping for. Quite a modern indian menu with a twist on the usual dishes you expect but still has all your favourites curries. Love the food, really good quality and reasonably priced. The staff are friendly and attentive. We take our friends and family here and they always rave about the food.
Quality Indian. I have eaten several times in this restaurant and each time I have been impressed by the quality of the food. This is not typical Indian takeaway. Memorable meals served in a delightful cafe with alfresco area. Also available "to go" but remember you are bringing a delightful feast home. I would like to recommend a particular dish but I must say everything I have tried is outstanding and fresh.
The restaurant is in South Pine Road, Alderley, first driveway on the left from the Enoggera Road, Samford Road, South Pine Road intersection.
Excellent takeaway options with great tasting and reasonably priced authentic Indian cuisine. Friendly and helpful staff. Well done.
Food was tasty more over the service was splendid especially Harmanpreet and Hrithik..
Absolutely the best most genuine service, delivering delicious food with huge menu and yummy healthy options. I haven't found a place that can compare to this and my whole family loves it. Nice vibes, good price, and food always comes quickly. So many healthy options! The butter chicken is amazing and I love how you can get broccoli rice. I also loved the avocado naan, and really just everything I've ever tried there.
I have been here many times and it has always been amazing.
Their vindaloo is to die for. Have not had a better one anywhere to be honest.
Absolutely the correct choice if you're feeling like some delicious, indian food.
Love this restaurant. The family that owns it are kind and lovely. They are helpful, when we wanted more veggies in the dishes they guided us to the perfect feasts.
Totally delicious! we come back all the time, even though we drive past at least 8 Indian Restaurants to get there. They have a special authentic country style of curries.. Yum!
Really good food and friendly staff.
Consistently good curries. Love them. Never had a bad one, always friendly and prompt.
