They have the best Chicken Burgers!! So tender and so tasty. Good environment, gets very busy but have a very good efficient service!
All around good place.

Came for beer, stayed for Buck Hunter. Visits every second night after work for a great vibe and good times, friendly staff and nice eats.the only thing I will say...
Needs more Buck Hunter.
I've only been here at lunch and i always ordered the Cheese burger with Fries. 3 months later my mate tells me i need to try the Chicken burger with fries. Wow probably be the best Chicken burger I've tasted. I've eaten a lot of chicken burgers in my day but this had to be the most tender and moist chicken burger i've tasted not processed like the Macca's and Hungry's one. If you're ever in the valley around lunch time give the Chicken Burger a go.
This review is solely on the 2 for 1 parmy nights on Wednesdays. They are delicious and of course, great value. I particularly like how they use a variety of cheese on the parmy
10/10 for these guys. I utilise UberEats for the first time to get something from here and it didn't disappoint. The "Chocka" box is my meal of choice because those chicken popcorn bites are just divine. And the fried chicken burger hits the spot 100% of the time. Love it, love the food, price is quite reasonable considering the quality of the ingredients.
Have not actually been in the venue, but have had food delivered (with UberEats). The burgers and chips were reminscent of a McDonalds burger (think plastic cheese, floppy bun, ketchup and mayo) - but hey, they were pretty damn tasty. Probs not the go-to if you're after a "gourmet burger" though ;)
There's some decent pub food here, definitely a go-to especially for some good beers. A little heavy on the salt and unfortunately the sweet potato flavour in the gems was lost under the pepper. Nevertheless, experienced great service from the waiter and management and would recommend everyone give it a go. Can't go wrong with their beef burger and shoe string fries!
Their 2 for 1 Parmys on a Wednesday night will not disappoint. Massive serving and quality is not compromised. Their house Napoli is what truly makes this parmy amazing. You can tell they've put a lot of thought and time in getting the sauce right. Perfect balance of tanginess and sweetness. The chicken is always so juicy and cooked just right. Perfect amount of crumb and their slaw is a great accompaniment. The staff are always attentive and the venue allows for a warm atmosphere.
New menu yay! Nice burger, great chips, great decor. Although I was disappointed staff didn't know who the photo on the food order card was:(
2 for 1 parmy great value on a Wednesday night staff friendly and helpful a great night out will definitely be back here great selection of beers and many other specials to try
I've been here today for lunch. Ordered The big chook pack ($40 for whole chicken and wings. And heaps of side dishes). chicken was so good, very tasty. Meal was massive..3 adults couldn't eat it all. It's way too much food for what we pay for. (I wish I could have bigger stomach to eat that delicious charcoal whole chicken.) Staff are very nice and friendly. :D definitely going back there again.
2 for 1 parmigiana night don't miss it... The chef loves pumping out parmigiana... Flying cock is a sweet place to go for some great pub food
Heard good things about this place. The food isn't bad, lots of flavour in their salads and burgers however my beef patty was just a little too over-charred with an overpowering burnt taste. Also found a steak knife under my chair lol that would've been horrific if I accidentally cut my foot there, glad that didn't happen :)
Food was good and beer on tap all good. Bit hipster for any one with out the hipster uniform, beard and tatts. Reminded me of a motorbike run up to Deadwood in the 90s.
Well set out bar and cool rustic feel to the place. Good for a quiet dinner or for a night out with the mates on a Friday or Saturday would recommend
These guys have brought together all of the most important elements of a solid night out perfectly... Lots of beers, great staff with awesome banter, good tunes and the food, my god, the food. They took pub food, waved a magic wand of awesome and cast that spell of awesomeness on it. Some of the best sliders I've ever had. Ever ever.
Not bad for a bite. You may be caught with some oily delights. But watch for live gigs on the top floor, with a 10 $ entry you may catch some covers from REM and Goo Goo Dolls.
Cheeky by name, cheeky by nature.
I probably spend more time here then I do at home. The food is super yummy (and well priced), the service is great and the staff are a hoot. Definitely check out the Bacon Double Cheeseburger 👍
The best parma I've had in recent memory! It was a delicious all round meal that I enjoyed way too much. Not too oily, spot on toppings (only fault is there foulr have been more!) 4.5 would parmy again
Holiday season specials, $5 ribs & $5 curly fries with drinks. Super yum, especially the fries. Goes very well with beer. The staff are friendly. The drinks are Valley prices (expensive), vibe very hipsters & they were playing 80's rock. But all & all still a great enjoyable afternoon.
Love the craft pale ale beers with a good old fashioned cheese burger and fries for a nice casual mid week dinner. Always good after a long day at work
Wow. What an experience at the Flying Cock. The valley houses many intuitive places, however the FC is a premium gastro pub that takes the cake. With exciting new menu items such as kale chips, a variety of cheeseburgers, home style roast chicken, and soft tacos. This American inspired menu is tasty, rich, and enjoyed in the company of your mates with a selection of craft beers they have on tap.
Had the pleasure of visiting The Flying Cock with the Zomato crew last week and was very happy with how the night went, not just with the food, but also the service.Food is well priced, and excellent. My favs were the tacos, especially the crispy chicken. I was especially interested in the cheeseburger, as it was 'slow cooked' and I wanted to see how it would work on a burger. I can report, it works well! The beef was as tender as can be, and a perfect medium rare. Whilst it didn't have the crisp coating, the sheer juiciness made up for it. I also loved the Big Chook Pack. It comes with a whole organic BBQ chicken which was amazing on its own. But also tacos, marinades to baste yourself, wings and seasoned Criss Cut fries. All for $40, which would easily feed 3 people.
Was so impressed with this place! Feeling so silly to not have come sooner. Their cheese burger is seriously a must try, and their organic whole chicken is so perfect for group dinners! Oh yeah dessert - deep fried mars bars.. That is all.
Damn fine chicken done well, and its about time. I had Doritos crusted fried chicken burger with slaw and bacon. It was the perfect balance of gourmet ingredients and a delicious cheat day meal. Service was average as this place is more of a pub style setting for drinks although with solid specialized chicken menu like this it should become more of a place to eat soon enough.
Pretty solid pub fare, had the schnitty which was fresh and crunchy. Not massive servings, but sufficed. Served with fries salad and slaw which was a bonus. Could have been a bit bigger for the price but taste was good.
One of the best parmy's I have had in Brisbane.. Also would recommend trying the schnitzel with a side of mushroom sauce.. Cool vibe and great bar selection.. Does get a strong party vibe over the weekend! Kudos
Oh man, hands down the best chicken parmy in Brisbane! The addition of shoe string fries, aioli in a shot glass shaped like a boot and that slaw = perfection. I can't wait to go back and try the burgers. The cocktails are also on point.

Look do I really need to mention the name? I was a bit disappointed, expected something to be attached to the ceiling fan and be flyin around but it's okay.
Had the parmy and boy was it cheesy. Then I polished off my sons cheeseburger while he was in the bathroom.
Wasn't very happy
Love flying cock! It has a great atmosphere and great food - the chicken burger is to die for and the 2-4-1 parmies on Wednesday nights are just as good! Not to mention it's very reasonably priced
Great food and fun vibe. Have dined here a couple of times and drank here on the week end also, great staff, fun vibes and layout and not your average pub food. Best burgers, wings and sweet potato fries. Perfect location too, highly recommend.
Thumbs up. Amazing burgers and chips! Be warned though - the service is extremely slow! Lined up for about 20 minutes just to order food and drinks. There were only two people in front of us in line as well. Good place otherwise though!
Awesome food and drinks and the staff there are so good looking! Such a winner
Great food and great service!!. We had lunch here on a Saturday afternoon and ordered the chicken schnitzel with sweet potato fries and a half rack of ribs. We really enjoyed the food, the chicken schnitzel was a huge portion and was delicious, and the sweet potato fries were great. The ribs were also great!
Service was really friendly.
Overall, we would definitely visit this place again, and we thought it was great value for money.
Great atmosphere and value for money. Even though they're still not fully open and running a sample menu, the food is fantastic and extremely good value for money. The chicken schnitzel almost completely filled the plate and the corn is delicious. Prices are great for top quality food and I really like the low key industrial feel. Looking forward to the full menu going live. Highly recommended.
The food at The Flying Cock is no-fuss but plentiful, freshly cooked and full of flavour. It's all the things we like to eat whilst sipping beer or cocktails on a weekend, with plenty of crunchy, saucy, creamy and slurpy. Most dishes invite people to share, which is great for a meal with friends. Our critique is that the music, even in the downstairs restaurant, was a bit too loud for easy conversation. On the plus side, service was pretty quick considering how big the venue is and food prices are very cheap for a Valley establishment!
