Visited Merlos for a coffee hit after lunch. This Cafe is super popular for their takeaway coffee and I join the queue. My Cafe Latte is intense and full flavoured, my best coffee this month! Thank you William!

Dropped in this Merlo cafe this morning after nearly 4 yrs after my last review. I was lucky to get a parking spot due to early in the morning around 7:30am. There were at least 3-4 baristas working at the same time to keep up the pace for the orders.
I placed a take-away small flat white and it only took five minutes wait. Coffee was no doubt consistently good, hot and strong in strength. Not a bad place to drop in for quick refill of caffeine. Cheers!

Do you remember that I love the blue Merlo coffee cup at Nikka Latte. I also love the white one at Merlo Paddington. Bypassed this cafe many times and I eventually made it last Sunday morning. Everyone seemed like to order Take away coffees from this spot so I was the only one sitting inside the cafe. My gaze was so busy looking at all the coffee beans and accessories. It was definitely a good experience and a perfect match to have the coffee with the Merlo coffee cup (not the paper cup) in Merlo coffee shop. I like it so much......

Merlo is hectic as hell. Every weekday morning its popularity causes the kind of traffic chaos which leaves me baffled at human behaviour. Manic. When we needed coffee beans this weekend & had to run the gauntlet, we thanked all things holy for being within easy walking distance...as we manoeuvred around a giant delivery truck blocking the footpath out front while the driver got their coffee fix. Ergh.
But inside, Team Merlo are killing it: energised and profeshe & managing the mayhem with aplomb & fresh smiles on their dials. We pulled up seats in the dining area while the takeaway trade churned constantly on at a frantic pace.
Coffee tin refills are $10 & come with a complimentary coffee of your choice - today it was a perfectly made espresso to match our espresso beans.
From the range of treats (protein balls, muffins, slices, cookies), we each scoffed one of our beloved I Heart Brownies. Suddenly the hassle was all worthwhile & the angst melts away. Caffeine & chocolate fixes everything.
I'm always up for a second coffee - just to keep myself going through the day :) Trying to find a cafe that still opens around 3:45pm can be hard as most closes around 2pm. Fortunately, Merlo at Paddington operates till 5pm so I popped over there for a coffee and a bite. (Finding a park was still hard)
Was hoping Merlo would serve up savoury (e.g.sandwiches), unfortunately they only did sweets like brownies and sweet biscuits - wasn't really what I was looking for. I ordered an Ice Latte instead. The coffee was nice and strong :) If it wasn't raining I would sit outside and enjoy it!

Just finished my morning coffee using the Single Origin - Columbian Roast and my god that's some good coffee!! Thanks for the recommendation guys. It was exactly what I wanted when I clumsily described what I was looking for yesterday afternoon!! Do yourself a favour and try this roast out it won't disappoint.
The layout of this Merlo is not as nice as the Fortitude Valley store but the good news is that the coffee is exactly the same. I can highly recommend the iced long black on a hot day.

Yes, this little coffee grew some hairs on my chest! If you like your coffee like your men, rich and strong, then this is the place for you! Conveniently placed near a top notch Acai Bros it's the ideal place for a morning bite! Don't go past the big blue umbrellas!
Just popped in for a quick cup of java- (delicious Mezzo Mezzo)... & as a pleasantly unexpected bonus I left fully loaded with a belly full of caffeine & a head filled w fabulous extraction information :) Thank You Erin for your impromptu, fun, friendly & detailed demonstration session.. Thoroughly enjoyed watching the syphon brewer in all it's 'old school' glory.
Cute little coffee shop. Lovely little Paddington coffee shop, great coffee, plus lots of little snacks and healthy things.
Only have take away coffee unless you buy beans and then they will serve you in a cup

In and out. This is a good spot to grab a decent coffee in the Paddo central area. It's not really a sunday morning 'coffee and newspaper' sort of place as there isn't much comfortable seating or atmosphere - but the coffee is good.. Always liked merlo beans..

Great strong coffee but sometimes the coffee is weak and tastes soggy, most of the time though the coffee is good.
Great variety of beans on sale as well as useful coffee accessories. Barista's are friendly and professional, not so much a cafe, more a professional coffee outlet!

AMAZING tasting coffee, never a bad coffee here always consistent and enjoy every sip. There is something about the beans they use as it’s all in the beans, it’s just so smooth and right. I always get a soy Capp never fails. Oh and the banana bread 🤤 naughty but soooooo good!!
