Please ignore the bad reviews, these people havent eaten here, they are just 'offended' by the amusing new menu, this is a great place with good feeds, i and everyone i know think the new menu is hilarious
Have not tried the food but giving 5 stars because of his great sense of humour on the menu. I will definitely try their menu when I am in the area. I am Chinese Australian myself and I felt no racist intention from the restaurant. In fact, I had a good laugh. I don't understand why the media always try to sensationalise and stir issues especially pertaining to race. Anyway, I support this restaurant and its owner and if you have a sense of humour, you should too. I know all of my friends who have Chinese backgrounds took no offence to this and they had a good laugh also. Please support this owner and try their menu. It looks delicious!
Great food and great staff.
Seeing all the 'reviews' from people who have never eaten there upset over a joke they made on social media. Review bombing weaklings, grow a pair and harden up.
I support the ability to exercise a certain degree of freedom of speech. We should be able to have a laugh and make light of any situation. This includes terrible disasters which we are in now. This doesn't mean that we shouldn't try our best to keep the situation under control and help people who need it.
Love the new menu, f**king hilarious!
I’m guessing the bad reviews are just people disappointed it wasn’t actually real bat on the menu.
Someone should let them know they’re not obligated to look at it.
They find it offensive? I find their lack of a sense of humour offensive. If you don’t like it, then simply keep scrolling.
We should be supporting our local businesses during these times, who can blame them for trying something different to get some sales.
Lighten up d**kheads
To all the people whinging and moaning, its called laughing in the face of adversity. In this current climate of uncertainty its nice to be able to smile and this has done just that. The point of humour is to get us over terrible things. Just because you are offended, it doesn't mean you are right!!
Yeah about the negative reviews, its pretty sad the people who criticize, I mean for once in your life just accept a joke people
Not the first time drove past this restaurant since its opening but the first time to have a dinner here. We were lucky to book our table because it was full house after we went in for about 15 minutes. We were arranged to have the counter seats so overlooking the chefs working in the skewers was a fun.
I am glad that it serves the Orion beer because we just came back from Okinawa and visited the Orion factory.
Food and beverage are both excellent including the friendly service. Heroes are the chicken wings and chicken skin that must be the a-must orders.
Definitely we will return for this local gem! Highly recommended👍👍👍
Excellent food, friendly service and a great atmosphere all round. Tried a bit of everything and nothing disappointed and the selection of Japanese alcohol was the feather in the cap.
Fantastic restaurant. A pleasant experience and very delicious food :) The staff are very friendly and the full authentic Japanese experience. A lot of other people around here have said very highly recommended things to me of this restaurant as well.
Friendly new place, and Brisbane needs more authentic Yakitori spots!
The food is great and the pricing on point. Interesting specials and helpful enthusiastic staff make for a fun night. It’s not licensed at the time of writing, so BYO if that’s your thing.
As far as ambience goes, the place was a quite bright, and closed quite early for a Yakitori bar. Would make a great late night spot and earn 5 stars if those two things were adjusted.
Living in Morningside, it’s always exciting when a new venue opens up and I was so thrilled to see a quality Japanese restaurant open to provide some difference to existing offerings in the area.
I was so happy with the food and service. Very highly recommended and it’s a bonus to also find a great venue like this where I can bring my favourite bottle of wine!
