It has been over one year since my last review so made the time to have a brekkie here two days ago.
Due to school holiday, the cafe was crowd with kids running around.
After I have placed my orders, I took a seat at the corner of the indoor dining area near the pass of the kitchen.
Coffee came first with Campos brew that was above the average. It took another three minutes for the poached eggs to be ready. Playing looked great with two poached eggs sitting on top of one of the sourdoughs. Smoked salmons were wrapped in the shape of a flower carefully. Poached eggs were the best for those that I had for the past 6 months and so as the smoked salmon, which were thick and nice taste. This brekkie made my day😋

As the COVID-19 situation improves in Brisbane, we were quite excited for more food hunting to come. Moreish cafe is a new venue located just opposite to the entrance of Stone Corner Village in Greenslopes. Despite the watery Matcha Latte, overall the food was great. Everything was really tasty. The pulled pork on the Different Eggs Benedict was very tender and the Hash Stack was not only beautifully plated but also delicious!
I'm a firm believer that sometimes simple is best and moreish really delivered! The calamari salad and the quesadilla was flavoursome and cooked well. The kale smoothie was also really nice and refreshing and didn't taste like kale (in a good way!). Definitely will go back to taste some more food!
Since reopening in May, Moreish Food & Cafe is definitely somewhere to try soon!
The sweet potato fries were perfectly crunchy and accompanied by an amazing sauce. 100% would come back for the fries alone. I didn’t get to try the chicken BLT, but my partner ate it all so that’s a promising sign 🙌🏻
The lamb pita was generously portioned, with the lamb cooked so well and the greens super fresh and well dressed.
The drinks were lovely and the re-usable straws were so appreciated! War on waste starts now 👏🏻
There were a few hiccups after ordering, but the friendly staff were so accomodating and empathetic. 5 star service 🌟
I wish I had taken photos of the atmosphere and decor, it was minimalistic done well.
Definitely a leg above the rest of the cafes in the stones corner area!
We visited this cafe for breakfast. We loved the atmosphere with live music across the street. Thumbs up to the guitarist. I hope neighboring restaurants appreciate him for creating such a lovely atmosphere. Staff are very friendly. Food was good but not super fresh. Coffee was beautiful.
August 2019. Came here for toast with lemon curd and campos coffee after riding. Very good coffee and most of the all day options are vegetarian now which is good for vegetarians GF people and vegans.
Great moreish fry up and it's an all day breakfast! The rest of the menu looks good too, can't wait to get stuck into that. Great smells, nice vibe, and the people watching is a bonus.
A great spot to stop for coffee, it might have been a little dark inside but there is also a lot to look at from the pieces hanging around to the old tools under the glass in the table.
Nice place for breakfast, food was nice and the service was friendly and quick. My friend and I were there a while and it would've been nice to be asked if we wanted another drink (I would've ordered another). When we finished and went to pay, we were surprised to see its one bill per table.
Exceptionally friendly staff, delicious coffee and meals that are perfectly cooked, well presented and delicious. Why is it that so many cafe's fail at these three relatively simple things? A favourite for me now, will definitely be back!
Was planning to eat nearby but menu was full and service slow. Ended up walking out and ducking into Moreish. Glad I did! Got the zucchini fritters and coffee. Service was great. Staff really friendly. Nice feel. Not over priced. Left feeling I got value for money 👍
Absolutely sensational coffee. We only had ham n cheese croissant with coffee, but it was tasty. I saw different meals going out to other customers which looked really good. The layout is good, and nice ambience. I spoke with the owner, and he actually made the recycled pallet tables they have inside. These are seriously cool and not like the "lets make this stuff look like, but aren't actually" recycled decor that some hipster establishments put up.
We'll be back.
I had to take my father into an appointment at the P.A and had an hour or two to kill so I found myself at Moreish for the first time. Nice little cafe with a chilled vibe, an open fresh atmosphere and friendly staff. I ordered my favourite and my usual when trying somewhere new. Eggs Benedict and flat white no sugar. Didn't wait long as I sipped away on some chiller water. Got the coffee first, I forget what beans were used but it was a nice flat white, coffee flavour was balanced, strong and nice roasted flavour. And the eggs benny was basic, simple and hit the spot. Nice toasted bread, some spinach, a couple slices of ham and topped with a thick hollandaise and cracked black pepper. Finished my meal, paid with a $20 got some change and was given a smile and a "have a nice day" and I left a happy and satisfied man. Well probably go back next time in the neighborhood.
Great atmosphere. Great service. Great food. The All Day Breakfast is definitely a plus for those late risers. And the menu has options for every palate. Only down side is their coffee isn't so great. I have had better.
Moreish Food & Cafe - Greenslopes, Brisbane. Chalk another winner up for the up-and-coming dining scene that is starting to show its credentials right in the heart of Stone's Corner shopping junction. Moreish takes the place of what used to be the carvery, and a lot of the interior has been stripped off. Leaving in its place, the internal dining area of the cafe has a minimalistic and industrial aesthetic to it, complete with exposed brick wall and a solid concrete floor. The seating inside still leaves reminders of less formal ways of dining, with the high tables and tall chairs. Add on to that al fresco dining which - in the case my dining buddy and I were lucky - is situated right next to some plant life. This cafe turned out to do pretty well.
For example there was some of the most brilliant, personable and downright efficient service here, mostly in the form of one waitress that my dining buddy and I had the luck of having for the majority of the meal's experience here. This was another one of those times when the waitstaff, or a member of the waitstaff, embellished the friendly atmosphere of the cafe. Starting with the customer service, this was quite good as they addressed the clientele well and even exchanged conversation well with some friendly banter thrown in.
Being breakfast, of course it had to start off with coffee. This place already was ranking in my thoughts, or more so attracted me on the virtue of having Campos coffee as their choice of blend. I make no secrets that it has been one of my favourite blends for a long time, often because the flavour of their roasts are dark, robust and most importantly, quite strong. It did not disappoint at Moreish, as the coffee was fantastically made. If one so wishes, the beans are available for purchase at this place.
While the menu is nothing too much out of the ordinary, it has several wholesome options on the menu with a mixture of the simple to the more complex and robust. It is subject to being changed and having items added on. The breakfasts are available at all times of the day. Lunch is somewhat basic, with most of the modern cafe favourites available to eat. During that time, the sandwich bar opens and it is all freshly made and prepared according to request. Additionally, and I missed this the first time, they also have a cabinet full of cakes and desserts to tempt diners afterwards.
The item that I ordered was the savoury mince. Only this time, it there was more to the dish than just bread and minced meat. On the side was a small onion and avocado salad (or more of a chopped up relish), an egg of choice (poached, and they do runny by default which is an awesome addition to the place), some bacon, a fresh tomato and sourdough toast. On the side I ordered an extra of haloumi. This was on huge meal, and it certainly filled me up for the following few hours.
There is also presentation to this place, especially when the meals come out. The dish was compartmentalised on the platter: the meat was served in its own ramekin container, the small salad was off to the side, however egg was served right on top of the sourdough toast. It was all very delicious, the mince was saucy and had bits of mushroom in it, as well as having a hearty flavour. The haloumi was cooked to absolute perfection, being soft and hot with a more moderate taste than usual. They must use free range eggs here, as the egg was plump and tasted fresh plus the yolk simply oozed upon being cut or pricked. Adding onto that was streaky bacon, which was cooked well and was a generous portion. The small salad was a good, inventive touch that added some freshness to the meal, all which was finished off with some good quality toast (certainly helped in mopping up the remaining sauce).
Considering the growth spurt of Stone's Corner as a social hub, it is great to start seeing good quality, friendly and approachable cafes such as Moreish and a few of the others across the road being popular with the dining out crew. I wish to see this place succeed, as it shows many of the traits of the small-time cafe that should become a local institution.
Large servings of delicious and healthy food. I have been here twice and both experiences were excellent. The food is healthy but still delicious and the service is friendly and fast. Highly recommend this place for breakfast or lunch over the other cafes in this strip!
Try this place.. I am very surprised about the negative reviews from some reviewers. Are we talking about the same place? My friend and I enjoyed the excellent hospitality here and I would certainly return. I had a simple bacon and poached eggs breakfast, which was both well cooked and generously proportioned. My bud enjoyed his tasty and eye pleasing savoury mince dish.
One of the reasons I enjoyed this experience so much was the service. Our waitress was delightful and is an asset to this cafe. As to the coffee; well it is Campos, so it has that in it's favour. It was in fact rather good and I am very fussy about my cup of Joe. My cappuccino was well brewed, with that lingering Campos aftertaste. It is one of the better places to get a coffee in Stones Corner and this is a suburb with no shortage of great coffee options.
Love the food at this place! Yum. So much variety to cater for most palates, especially vegetarians and those with gluten allergies. Menu is a bit different and and prides itself on being fresh and organic. Great service and delicious campos coffee is a bonus. When you've had a bite, head next door to get your hair did and then next door to pick out a cute outfit. All three shops are owned by lovely siblings. A great little addition to the stones corner strip.
On a cold and rainy day I ordered the Chicken Soup. It was absolutely amazing. It came with crusty toast and definitely warmed me up. The vegetables were still crispy. Thoroughly enjoyed my meal. This was the first time I had visited here and I was not disappointed.
Excellent experience! The service was amazing and the food was delicious as well! It was a chilly morning and our server was more than happy and helpful to turn on the heater for us! They also had blankets available which was great! I love the attention to detail and the extremely friendly staff! Will definitely return here!
Such nice people, couldn't do enough to make sure we were happy. The only cafe where a standard coffee was too strong. They were more than happy to provide some extra milk which was even warmed up. The food was excellent also.
3.75 ⭐ - friendly staff, lovely space and great coffee. Tried the:
🧇 Different eggs benedict - the chipotle hollandaise sauce was nice and creamy, the dish was enjoyable
🧇 Pecorino hash brown with braised pork belly - a lot going on with this dish, the pork belly was soft, the hash however was average. The pork crackle does give a nice touch to it tho
The coffee…… has kept us locals going throughout tough times/COVID19 Not to mention the food 😋 I stopped packing lunch and clients looked forward to appointments with a lunch special from Moreish cafe! Best Customer service 😊 as a local business owner, Kim and his Staff always go above and beyond. Supplying and supporting my client requests . Thanks so much Moreish
Delicious food and everything is beautifully presented. Super friendly staff at a very convenient location. I’ll definitely be back again! A+++
Very nice cafe, good service, friendly staff, and great price. 👍
“Better than bennies” was great, really yummy 🤤 the only thing was the eggs (using too much vinegar that made my mouth numb from first bite). Other than that it was very enjoyable.
“Caribbean Fufu” was nice but the fish was under-seasoned.
Food was delicious and fresh. I only gave 4 stars cause I've had better coffee , still not bad though. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
