While I was heading to Woolloongabba for a brekkie yesterday morning, all of the sudden I changed my mind to go to this cafe.
Due to early 7:00am, there was plenty of parking spots outside the building.
Walked in and found that it was not busy at all. Ordered a flat white and croissant with ham & cheese. Noticed that the coffee brew has been changed from the Toby Estate to Veneziano, which is alright to me because they both are my favourite.
It took around three minutes to have both food and beverage already. Coffee is expected good and matches my palate and the croissant is not that bad if it was not heated up from the microwave, which soften the texture of the croissant.

This cafe is located in pharmacy school building which is very near to my place. It is always crowded. The coffee is from toby’s estate. The staff was super friendly. It didnt take a long time to get your coffee ready.
It's inside a nice atrium that makes you feel like you're outside when you've been cooped up all day. The coffee is passable and there's a small range of food items to choose from if you forgot your lunch. It is a small walk from PA though I wouldn't come here every day.

Exceptional coffee (5 out of 5) – one of the best in Brisbane and easily the best on the PA Hospital/TRI/PACE campus. Pacemaker Cafe also have some of the best latte artists I’ve ever seen.
I used to be a semi-regular at Pacemaker Café when I worked for UQ, but now only make it here very infrequently. When they first opened they served Campos Coffee, but switched to Toby’s Estate a couple years ago. The Campos was good, but the Toby’s Estate is exceptional.
I enjoy watching the Cold Drip Coffee Towers slowly dripping away after the end of a busy day...drip, drip, drip.
Baked goods and light meals are good (3.5), but this is a place for coffee lovers first and foremost.
I highly recommend Pacemaker!
My favourite coffee joint in Brisbane! You can choose from a wide array of beans each with a description about the flavour. The food selections are quite nice and prices are on par with most cafes in the area. The staff are friendly and are do some amazing coffee art! Be sure to take of advantage of their Friday happy hour deal between 3-5 for half price food!
The best thing about this little cafe is the staff! Everyone is so friendly and accomodating. I'm not much of a coffee drinker, but I also see a lot of people drop by for a coffee in the mornings. I do enjoy the selection of cakes and little baked goods, however, my only dislike is the price - considering its proximity to a uni students.
I am so in love with the cocomocanut frappe and the rice paper rolls from here! The staff are always full of joy and smiles. Coming here just makes my day full of smiles..
This place must be one of the best kept secrets in Brisbane. It is located in the UQ Centre which houses medical, allied health and associated professions. The place is very clean and fresh with plenty of seating. I was there late so there was no one else around. They serve Campos coffee which is a great blend. Mine was served hot and strong. The Lemoncello biscuit was delicious too. I look forward to trying some food here.
It can't be overstated how lovely and friendly the staff of Pacemaker are. They're open early too, great for campus staff with early starts. The cafe space itself is beautiful and there is a nice selection of pastries etc to go with the coffee. Good selection of coffee beans, ask the staff for recommendations because they all know their stuff
Best little cafe! :-). All the staff at Pacemaker Cafe are wonderful - friendly, efficient, and passionate. Feels as though I'm catching up with friends when I go to order my lunch and hot drink. Keep up the excellent work! :-D
A beloved gem. Truly great service and coffee, its in a league of its own. if you appreciate passionate and skilled coffee makers handling your brew, than this is the place to be.
Great variety guys. What a great place to grab some lunch from a little café with oodles of takeaway fresh grabs like thai salads, prawn rolls, sushi, noodles and more. Not a coffee drinker but yep, I'll be back!!
Legitimately one of the best coffee shops/cafes on the south side. Great coffee (never too hot or bitter), surprisingly delicious meals and sweets, very friendly and competent staff, all at the back of the PACE building. So good.
PaceMaker Cafe. Pacemaker cafe saved me from drinking crap Starbucks coffee. They actually know how to make a cup of coffee. Baristas seem to be professionally trained. Great to see Campos beans this side of town.

Deliciously funky fresh!. Situated in the Pharmacy Australia Center of Excellence (PACE) adjacent to the PA hospital, Pacemaker cafe was originally set up to service the UQ Pharmacy students building, but now has a steady stream of PA hospital coffee enthusiasts.
The coffee is fantastic; using real Campos coffee and the expertise of several experienced baristas! The is very impressive. They stock all kinds of meals; sushi triangles, sausage rolls, pies, lasagne, pastries, hokkein noodle salad, beef Thai salad, Vietnamese salad, assorted sandwiches and turkishbread rolls, cakes, tarts, cookies!
Personally, I have tried the pastries (incredibly fresh and had perfect crust!), lasagna (delicious bechamel creamy sauce), sushi (can't go wrong. They have gourmet flavours such as peking duck) and the sandwiches!
Service is always with a smile and the owner, Mike, is a great fellow to chat to.

Outstanding Coffee and Service. My friends have raved on about this place and I thought I would give it a crack. And wow, the food selections and the coffee roasts were spectacular. Would definitely recommend their single origins.

Rain or hot days, it does not matter we walk there with the team almost everyday... even if we have a coffee shop right at the bottom of our work place!
The Pacemaker Cafe is one of three venues in the area competing for the title of best coffee. And depending on who you ask, all three of them are right up at the top. I would go to Pacemaker Cafe if it was a little more conveniently located. You see, those other two mystery places? I have to walk directly past them almost every day. Perhaps if I had to walk past Pacemaker Cafe, things would be different. Like coffee? Try it out.
