We love about a boy and a girl. Great selection of meals from old favourites to modern experimental options, all fantastic. Friendly staff and a great atmosphere. The kitchen has always been happy to accommodate any special requests..... i would struggle to recommend more fulfilling casual cafe dining anywhere in Brisbane.... 5 stars!

Love the place! Fresh, healthy whole food menu & very reasonable prices.
Relaxed atmosphere, sunny or shady seating choices. Coffee & tea selection is wonderful. Nice to browse through the retail section - locally produced & international whole foods, teas, wines and body care/natural products. Will return šš¼

Shocked how easy it is to get a table at this place. The food is amazing and really well priced, the staff are great and the coffee is spot on.
I don't know who does the playlist, but they have good taste.
There is a pretty good organic market in it as well.

Coffee wasn't really what I ordered or wanted but would suit others for sure. DĆ©cor was lovely and service friendly, so would probably come back for food

We meandered into About a Boy & a Girl the other morning for breakfast with the pooch. I had read about when Alison Read wrote a review below. They have an all day menu which is great. I ordered the avocado with black eye peas, burnt corn taco & pico di gallo. I found the corn taco to beĀ rather chewy, loved the fillings, but I needed more chilli. (I am a chilli freak as well as a coffee fanatic!!) No doubt if I had asked they would have provided it as the service was quite attentive. Pico di gallo could have had more zing for my taste too. Talking about the coffee it was amazing, two very well prepared & presentedĀ flat whites which left me with that lingering tantalizing flavour for the rest of the day. Partner was happy with his breakfast, loved the house beans, (but also agreed extra chilli would have great)Ā & the generous serve of bacon & roasted tomatoes

One of my favourite cafe spots. Ā Great gluten free food and shopping items plus amazing wine tastings! Highly recommend eating here or just chilling with a coffee in the sun.

Best healthy, vegan-friendly breakfast in Brisbane. This is a hidden gem. Get in now before the crowds descend and you can't get a table.

Recommended dish: the breakfast tacos.

Good vego menu options. Good coffee.
Good liquor selection. I look forward to the evening trade, and some of the Yasting Events.
This place ticks all the boxes...

Cafe, bottle shop and groceries all in one place...so convenient. Small but prime selection of wines and spirits. The coffee is pretty good and this place is pet friendly too!

Great find down a side street nearby- breakfast and lunch. Also this place sells an amazing selection of wines, gluten free, organic and vegetarian products. Spent a while looking through the shelves and fridges and some unusual items. The breakfast and lunch menu is impressive but alas I arrived just before 3pm so had already eaten. All meals and cabinet food made on the premises. I did buy salad, raw slices and protein balls. Also bought some organic chips and vegetarian pies to keep in my freezer.

A nice little cafe in Newstead. The menu is short but diverse and you can find something that meets your needs if you have specific requirements. I like the concept and might be back to see how the grow in the next few months.

This is an amazing paleo. vegan, vegetarian, food intolerance friendly paradise. Even if you don't fit into any of these categories About a Boy and a Girl is a foodie haven, wine lovers delight. Better still, you can pick up some great whole foods and natural makeup, skin and body products while you are there!

As a bonus, when ordering coffee they don't charge a surcharge for specialty milk (almond, soy, lactose-free milk).

Love this place!
