Remember it was during lock-down restriction and only take away orders were allowed when I visited this cafe in April.
It was not the first time that I came for brekkie. Honestly, take away croissant really reduced its standard, which is understandable. Having said that the coffee and service remained consistently good. That is why it remains a good mark in this review.

I assume these guys moved from the street cafe to the industrial area, that aside it's the best coffee ☕ in the area and the girls there are absolutely delightful. Comfortable setting, good spot 😉
6months I was working at a beautiful home were every time i attended site the owner would offer me a coffee, well I can honestly say I fell in love in the first cup just to be sure I asked for another.
The flavour was amazing and so smooth which was surprising considering the strength just took you on a journey in just one cup, when I ask the owner where do you get your coffee they replied with we make our own we actually own a coffee shop.
Now I really enjoy coffee for strength and flavour I can honestly say that from that moment I found out they owned a coffee shop I went straight there to buy some coffee beans and pods for my coffee machine at home and at work.
Now I start every day with a gift from heaven and so does the 50 staff members of the business I work for. I have tried the full range of coffee and they all have their own stories and adventures.
If you are after a smooth full flavoured intense coffee I would recommend the single origin, but even just a everyday any time coffee any of their range will put a smile on your face and a memorable journey.
Even to sit down or on the run breakfast, lunch or even a snack the food is even to die for.
The location is slightly tucked away from everyone but don't let that stop you from entering, I can guarantee that once you have had the first sip & bite the journey begins you will not be able to stop talking about them.
Hands down the best coffee I have ever had and with out fail all day everyday even when they are flat out the coffee never changes in quality, once you have been to the blue sky coffee cafe you will only drink coffee from there or home no matter where you are traveling to you will detour just so you can get a cup of gold.
Have been telling everybody about this place, at this stage it's the best coffee in my own opinion I've had. I usually come here before boxing and grab a small ice latte to give me a big kick after work and before I train. They use coffee beans from Columbia which make very, very strong coffee which is the main reason for favouring it. Being so strong it does leave a slightly bitter taste in your mouth but the buzz in unreal. Great staff always polite and chatty and cafe has a great setup and vibe also.
By far our favourite place for coffee, brekky and lunch. Try the eggs benny and ice coffee. Also a roast their own coffee, it smells great too. Awesome.

Awesome relaxing place here and best of all, coffee here is excellent. Service is prompt and can never get enough of the beautiful aroma and taste. Great place to catchup with friends and chill out with a rich & smooth coffee.
Coffee roasting and bike shop under one (warehouse) roof. Need I say more?
Best coffee in Newstead. Definitely the best coffee around our area! We buy our beans from here and love it!
Wonderfully relaxing. I'm a regular at Blue Sky Coffee and every time I am served the perfect cup of coffee and the atmosphere is wonderfully relaxing.
I love the art work hanging on the walls and find myself disappearing into my own world when I sit on the couch and drink my coffee.
My biggest problem is decided which blend I want of the day!
Definitely a must-go place for the serious coffee drinker.
Diana. Loved the coffee here, smooth & full of flavour which lingers way after you sipped the last drop! What else could one expect from Blue Sky coffee ? Never had a bad one yet and this roastery cum espresso bar is full of suprises to boot, you will find bikes hanging up & race cars ready to go, as well as siutes of armour in th corner-cool as!!
Coffee Enthusiast. I recently noticed signs at cafes showing "Blue Sky Coffee". I was so curious and a friend told me their shop is in Newstead/Valley, so decided to venture out. I told them I did not have any idea what I should order. The owner kindly explained everything about their coffee beans including origins, tastes and how they could be enjoyed the most. Very pleasant atmosphere and nice cup. Happy to go back there!
Coffee great food not sure. I had a great coffee there, Midnight Oil....,but the turkish toasted sandwich was disappointing....

Could this be the best coffee in Brisbane?. It seems every time I take client's to Blue Sky for a meeting, they walk away feeling more inspired or as if they've 'discovered' new treasure.
The coffee is always flawless - and you know its been freshly roasted on the premises.
Great coffee, beautiful artwork and amazing cars & bikes on show. Does it get any better?
...although the funky, artistic, industrial setting was unchanged, there was a sense that things had matured on the coffee front. Drinking alternatives to the straight espresso were available, 3 single origin beans in the hoppers to choose from, and more informative discussion about the coffee and the flavours. You get a real sense of the passion for coffee at Blue Sky.
A coffee roastery where you can buy beans & sample the wonderful coffee. The flavour in the brew is spot on, rich, strong & smooth. Definitely only needs one shot in the small cup. I ordered two shots & although I found it too strong there wasn't a hint of bitterness, beautiful brew
Wow! If you’re reading this and you are thinking about going. Think no longer and shake your tale over. The team here ooze enthusiasm for coffee and service, which only makes dinking my coffee more enjoyable. Simple, eclectic cafe whom roast onsite. Plenty of specialty coffee on offer that shouldn’t disappoint. Whenever I’m in Queensland I’ll be definitely popping in for some delicious coffee and service. Thanks team for having us. Big pleasure. 💯💯💯
Cosy little industrial cafe, situated amongst a bay of warehouses. Visited early on a weekday morning and quite enjoyed our stay, the cafe had beautiful open seating! Parking was a little tricky due to the businesses it’s surrounded by, street parking is also metered on weekdays so you’re lucky if you snag a park on-site like we did.
We were the only dine-in customers at the time we visited, with a few locals dropping in. We found the vibe to be a little awkward as there was no music playing or anything- just us sitting in silence. The owner however was really nice, greeting us on arrival and served us quickly.
We ordered two coffees, one decaf and the other not. My cappuccino had an interesting deep taste- which from further inspection was due to their combination beans. I hadn’t tasted anything like it before, so I really enjoyed it. The decaf coffee was a little bitter, however still enjoyable as the other. Important to note there are no menu items here as it’s just an espresso bar- although we did know this, we thought there might be a few cabinet items to try, which there weren’t.
I definitely think this is a place locals in the area should try out. I can see the passion that’s put into making the coffees and beans, and love their dedication to providing great service. I probably wouldn’t travel out of my way to visit again, but if I’m the area I definitely would!
Blue sky coffee is one of the best coffee shops in Brisbane. I really like the selected coffee beans, especially the Ethiopian coffee. The service was great. Callum is very friendly and helpful. I recommend visiting this coffee shop and getting coffee beans.
One of the most enjoyable, if not the BEST, cafe experiences I've had in my life. Had the fortune to visit when there were no other customers around so I managed to chat to Jarrod, who was the barista working at the time. I let him know that I was new and trying to get into specialty coffee, and how I was struggling to taste different notes in coffees from different regions and made with different processes.
Jarrod was kind enough to take time out of his day (even though him and the owner Callum were busy with roasting and other things) to explain many things to me, as well as walking me through tasting and what tastes and notes to look out for in each of the coffees I tried.
I learnt a lot today and I can't believe these lovely passionate people were willing to spend 2 hours just talking to me and teaching me about coffee. Would definitely pay a visit and buy some beans every time I come back to Brisbane!
Oh and of course, the coffee was delicious. Tried the Kirasa, Lorayne, and the Midnight Blend, all as filter coffees!
I have been visited this coffee several times since May 2020. I have invited my friends here many times as well.
I believe that Blue Sky Coffee is one of the best coffee roasters in Brisbane. Callum Jubb, who is the director of Blue Sky, is very friendly and helpful. I really enjoy his philosophy of roasting coffee and his selections of single origins. I’ve bought and tried a lot of coffee beans from this coffee shop, and I highly recommend visiting it.

Awesome smooth coffee with almond milk. Great customer service too! There are 2 parks allocated for Blue Sky in their complex, but if they are full, there's usually parking on the street nearby.
Wonderful passionate thoughtful couple that now own the Blue Sky. Callum is a brilliant barista. Freshly roasted coffee and Harney Tea all so good. Wheelchair and stroller accessible as well as parking
