Tried Ipoh Laksa for the first time and was quite impressed! We ordered the nasi lemak and the ipoh laksa special.
The nasi lemak had a very fragrant and tender beef rendang. The rice was cooked perfectly with a lovely coconut flavour. It was even better when they gave us extra sambal after requesting.
The laksa is not authentic from Ipoh, but the flavour was still delicious. Can't complain about the quantity and amount of toppings though!

The best Laksa I have had, and visited two days running, lunch and dinner. Authentic Thai food (we have lived there ) and delicious Malaysian food. Fabulous friendly service..
And Thai tea too 😋
Ipoh Laksa's spicy crispy pork belly was really good.
Came out on sizzling plate with beans, onions and capsicum with large serving of rice. Very good value. Highly recommend this Malaysian restaurant.
I'm so so happy and thrilled to report that Ipoh Laksa has risen from the ashes and BETTER than before. Hands down the legend of Lawnton is back and better than ever.
Customer service has upgraded and so did the food with the amazing husband and wife chef combo. The couple is so lovely and welcoming that you feel like you're eating in their home kitchen. Food is prepared with much love and care.
You have to try their Bonchon Chicken and Stir Fry Spicy Pork.
We had it with the Thai Milk Tea - it made the meal turn into the perfect trinity of sweet, savoury, and spicy.
And good news - the price is still budget friendly.
What's not to be excited about and what are you waiting for? Go in and try the new Ipoh Laksa!!

I have to change my review as Ipoh is not like how it used to be. Menu is the same but the way dishes are made is entirely different now.
Expect shopping mall food court quality dishes. Not terrible but definitely not in the same calibre as how it used to be however service is still quick and the staff are pleasant.
I'll come back again to try and see if things improve.

Amazingly tasty. Cheap yet servings are plentiful. Ipoh Laksa is the best Malaysian food at Brisbane North - hands down!
Probably the only Malaysian shop in the area and they are good. The nasi lemak was pricey for the quantity but their signature Ipoh Laksa is reasonably priced and good!
Good value 4 Money
Great value for money. If you go for lunch between 11am and 2pm you can get a meal with a drink for $10.90. I highly recommend their chicken laksa which will set you back $14.50.
Note there is a new chef and although the decent it wasn't as good as before. Also some prices have gone up.
The new Ipoh Laksa is absolutely wonderful! My family first become regulars when the restaurant was located in Kangaroo Point. We recently decided to try the food under new ownership; we were not disappointed! Wonderful, friendly service (at the end of our meal we were walked to the door and thanked by name - felt like we were visiting family!) The food was delicious and the menu offered a wide variety of options. With a classy table setting and peaceful music, we couldn't have a had a more pleasant experience!
Ordered the extra spicy and it was beautiful! The right kind of spicyness! Not for the faint-hearted but oh so delicious!
