We drive past this local fish and chip shop on a regular basis, so for dinner it was fish and chips. Street parking, plenty of parking.
Busy shop with about 6 staff working, simple layout, counter, hot food warmer, salad bar and service counter.
So much to choose from with their deal, so went with number 2, a little bit of everything. Battered fish and battered everything with chips also a burger.
Was super busy and we had to wait around 20mins.
Their batter would be one of the better ones we have tired. Nice light and crispy. The burger, nice and fresh salad, only thing was the bun, a little dry.
Recommend calling ahead, would go back
At first I thought this was just a run-of-the-mill fish & chips & burger joint, but I was pleasantly surprised. The prices are low, my burger was delightful, without too much wait, and I received a lovely smile on my way out. Just what I needed on the way home from a long, hot shift in the sun. Will definitely be returning.
A family favorite for a quick dinner! We love it... food are nice, chips are crispy, pineapple fritter is a must. Generous portions! Been going there for 8 years now and will keep going there still.. 👍👍
The fish and chips here are always fresh and sumptuous. By far this is my favorite go to whenever I crave for a hearty fish and chips meal for the last 7 years as well as they are so reasonable in their pricing. They are very flexible as well in changing the options within a deal which I really like about this place. So definitely a 5/5 for these guys. :)
If you are looking for the fish and chips from your childhood this is the place to go. Prices are unbelievable if you get a family deal. don't believe the $45 for two people more like $25.
I drive past 2 fish and chip shops to come here. Great portions, always cooked perfectly. I've never been disappointed! The prices are also very competitive. It's often busy and parking is a bit tricky , but as others have said, it's the best in the local area

After deciding to have fish and chips, we made the decision on trying somewhere new. We thought we would see what Star Seafood & Burger was like, as it feels like it has been there forever. We rang up to get takeaway, and the staff that answered the phone were so nice and pleasant.
After driving there and paying, the staff were even more friendly in person. It is amazing how many staff they manage to fit into the little store as well! But everyone seems to work in tandem and the meals do not take long to get served.
The burgers have plenty of fillings that are fresh, and considering no burger is over $9, you get your money worth! The chips are just standard good old fashioned chips, not spectacular but still good quality. They make their own potato scallop in house, and they were one of the nicest I have had in a while. They are crispy but still have plenty of potato inside.
It was a pleasant surprise, as when you drive past you don't expect a lot from the outside. Definitely true from the old saying, "you can not judge a book by its cover".
Been going here for over 10 years and this is hands down the best Fish and Chips in the suburbs!
When Wifey and I first started going here, the Fisherman's Catch for 2 was $18.00. 10 years on the price is just $22.00! Such good value and great customer service. If you are getting take-away on a Friday or Saturday night I would recommend phoning the order in as, due to its popularity, the wait can exceed 30 minutes.
Burgers are also off the hook, get the Fish Burger and add Bacon and Pineapple, you will be one satisfied punter!
Love it!! It's a regular for us. Always great food & friendly staff! We always get one of their deals listed on the wall. Best fish & chips around this area. Better than some I've had by the bay.
This is the best fish and chip shop I have ever been to in Brisbane. I am from NZ and we have awesome fish and chips over there and this shop is up there.
Prices are really reasonable too and they even bring it out to your car. Excellent customer service, highly recommended.
