A picturesque 360 degree view from the top of Mt Coot-Tha made the morning grind a little easier. Couple that with a delicious breakfast and you’re all set for the day! Had the spiced house made beans which was definitely a hearty meal with a medley of classic breakfast items like toast, butter, beans and kale chips. Beans could have been a little spicier but flavour was good.

Great view while sipping on your hot coffee or have an afternoon date with devonshire tea, and then have a stroll around while licking some ice cream? I just love coming here at anytime possible. Fresh and clear view of the city during day time, or glittering lights at night, it is all good!! A bowl of hot chips or wedges with sour cream and sweet chilli sauce would be really nice to share too.

Love the outlook from this cafe bistro ... used to come here longtime ago and actually it remain the same after a decade.
Ordered:
- 2 cone ice cream (rainbow and irish almond flavours) ... yummy
- calamari kids meal: good portion and quite delicious only the fries undercooked
- 2 muffins: apple cinnamon and white choc raspberry. I like the raspberry one
- hot choc with marsmallow: need a little bit hotter especially during this winter time

Despite they forgot to serve out one of out muffin but the service was good

We visited this cafe after our long enjoyable walk in Mt Coot-tha with a bunch of cycling friends, without bikes though. I had coffee and vanilla slice. They both were good. More than food I enjoyed the fantastic view from this lovely cafe. Despite the massive crowd in the cafe on Mother’s Day the service was reasonably good. I will definitely go back to enjoy the view while I’m drinking my coffee.

On the way home, Paul is feeling peckish so we decide on a short drive up to Mt Cootha, Brisbane’s highest peak. Plenty of parking spaces and fewer tourists on weekdays!

There is a large selection of cakes and muffins in the cabinets. Counter staff are friendly and helpful with Paul’s dessert. Service is relatively quick with our coffees and a blueberry muffin delivered on a tray. The coffees are surprisingly good compared to my last coffee here years ago. Served hot and strong both of us enjoy our coffees. Paul tells me the warm Blueberry Muffin is so fresh and delicious. An enjoyable afternoon tea with beautiful views of Brisbane. Well done Kuta Cafe!

I think the views and ambience outstun the food and service. But having said that, there are no delays, even when it's a busy night. Staff do their job well and coffee is hot and not burnt, desserts are moreish and hubby loves the ice cream. Another great place to bring interstate or overseas guests. Beautiful place to visit just before a storm to watch the clouds and lightening roll in. I even found our apartment building in the coin telescope at the lookout area. No kidding!!

3.5 for the view. We had small desserts and coffee after the summit cafe. Coffee just tasted okay and the cake was dry. But if you just want a small snack to enjoy with the view, what can go wrong with a $4 coffee.

Great views with great prices and great service. Everyone got a bit of everything from the breakfast menu including drinks like coffees, frappes etc. No complaints or issues, smiles all around. Only minor problem is the parking which can be a mission.

Located in a dream environment, Mount Coot-tha's cafe Kuta is perfectly placed for everything from big, meet up breakfasts, arvo ice creams and cosy hot chocolates on winters nights. With the Brisbane skyline unveiled in all its glory, the sales - for food, drinks and gifts alike - are sure to be good.

So, is it any good? Well, the prices are up to no good where food is concerned, with only really snack options (e.g. Ham and Cheese croissant at breakfast, wedges with sour cream and sweet chilli sauce) sinking in at under $10, with pretty much everything else main meals wise approaching $20.

However, there are big positives in the way of quality, variety and value. For example, there are no less than 16 different types of ice cream, a vast range of sweet treats and cold drinks and a bonus card for hot drinks that, after the purchase of six, allows number 7 for free!

The brand is that trusty old favourite Grinders, and the Latte was good enough, although frustratingly was in one of the smaller Latte glasses. The hot chocolate was more warm than hot, although upon our second order of hot chocolate, I requested 'extra hot' to get it hotter (although not over 70 degrees so the milk scalds!)

It worked a treat. If you hadn't figured, ordering a second hot chocolate (even in-spite of the earlier criticism) is a fair indicator that it must be a pretty good one - and for the record, Grinders Taboo Hot Chocolate (which you can find in Red Rooster also, for example) is one of the finest, richest hot chocolates you will taste. You won't pay over the odds prices for it, either.

Complete with a chilled atmosphere, heat lamps, unrivalled city views and polite, patient, professional service, this was an experience that I would happily repeat again and again.

Amazing view, nice dessert. If you want to sit down, have a snack and enjoy the spectacular view from Mount Coot-tha, Kuta Cafe has all of this.

My partner and I decided to enjoy the hot end-of-summer sun by visiting Mt. Coot-tha on a hot Saturday (Feb 18) afternoon. The view was incredible and it wasn't all that busy.

But the heat did get to us so we decided to have an ice cream, like we saw many other people with. Kuta had a fair selection of flavours, but only 3 sorbets ($4 one scoop, $5.50 two scoops and $6.50 for three). We noticed the patrons around us battling their rapidly melting waffle cones and opted for bowls instead!

It was cash only for orders under $10 so in that we had no cash, we had to order something else so my partner ordered the Lamington cake with cream ($6). It was a good thing that we had selected our seats first (each table has a number on it) so when you order something, you have to quote the table number so the staff can bring out the item to you. Personally, I think this is backwards as many restaurants supply you with a number to track you down.

We had to take our ice creams, but the cake showed up quickly thereafter by a waitress who efficiently put it down and went away as quickly as she had appeared. I don't believe she said anything and definitely did not smile.

My raspberry sorbet was refreshing on such a hot afternoon, but it was the same quality and flavour that I could have bought at any grocery store. My partner had the lemon sorbet and coconut ice cream, and agreed about the quality, going further to say that the sorbet wasn't smooth but a tad grainy.

The Lamington was fantastic! The sponge cake inside was moist which was due to the layer of jam in the middle, something we haven't normally seen in this dessert. The chocolate was a pleasant amount and wasn't sickly sweet and the coconut sprinkles added just the perfect amount of flavour as to not over-power the other ingredients and made for a tremendous balance of both texture and flavour! Highly recommend this dessert as it's one of the best we've had so far!

I had a chance to look at the menu and thought the meal prices were quite expensive. When I saw pizza for $19, I cringed! Well at least the desserts were well priced and specialty coffees were between $3.50-3.90, so I'm sure there is something for every budget. Knowing that we will return to Mt. Coot-tha again, if it's a hot afternoon we certainly will be grabbing an ice cream and a really good view!

Had a fantastic breakfast. I don't understand the negative reviews here because we had a fantastic experience, and looking at all their menu options they have some very well priced meals - a lot less than what I would have expected to pay at a place like this with million dollar views.

The cafe was extremely busy on a Sunday morning and the staff handled it very well and had an excellent experience overall. We'll definitely be back
