Had a nice breakfast on a Saturday morning, decent breakfast board to share, like the coffee here too.

Great coffee. ☕️ Food is always great. My favourite coffee shop as it is open super early.

We have been coming here for about four years and love the food When we talk about going to other breakfast places to eat, we don't as we just can't drive this place as the food and coffee is too good to pass. Yum Breakfast board yum!

Gluten free options and delicious array of dishes on the menu! Coffee tastes great, great service, comfy place to relax for brunch.

Food is amazing, great flavours, and the coffee is always the best around.

Highly recommend this little gem in Gumdale. Had brekkie this morning and although this is a pic of yesterday’s brekkie this mornings was just as good. Fast service, no problems with special orders & the Merlo coffee is great.

Winegum cafe is only 5 minutes from Sleeman sports complex and a great place to get a feed if you're out at Chandler for a day of sport. We've been twice now and the food is fresh, tasty and reasonably priced! Good coffee to boot means we will definitely be back.

A family friendly cafe, with fantastic coffee. Great value food, and an enjoyable setting.
We can’t wait for ubereats to hit our area for delivery as we often order and pick up their delicious breakfast when we aren’t quite feeling up to eating out on a Sunday morning

My boyfriend ordered the MEGA breakfast & thickshake while I had pancakes & coffee. Everything came out very quickly! The staff were lovely and for the first time ever my boyfriend could not finish his meal. Great value, will definitely be back!

Great Merlo coffee and friendly service from this suburban cafe. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Decor very basic but it does the job.

Within the same shopping center near the Gumdale bakery located this local cafe. It was one of the Saturday morning and the cafe was packed with regulars. Clientele of this cafe has a broad market share. I think the main successful point is the PR work of the owner. I saw him running around to greet his customers, which reminds me that one has to work hard with passion particularly for small business. Oh! I nearly forget to tell you that the Merlo coffee is above average from this cafe. Not bad.

Great coffee and always busy with all types - families, tradies, business people etc...
The food is reasonable, but the pancakes are clearly microwaved and are a little disappointing. I'd also love to see more variety of cakes, which I think they could manage given there are so many regular customers.

Great lunch at WineGum. I had a couple of average meals at Winegum a couple of years ago, so hadn't been back.
But I heard on the local grapevine that they'd brought in new chefs.
SO..... tried it again yesterday and the lunch was very good. We both had the Moroccan Lamb and Haloumi Salad.
The lamb was very tasty, tender and cooked perfectly (better than in many "top end" restaurants.) And the grilled haloumi and salad was dressed perfectly. (Side note..... a Greek salad might have made more sense..... but that's nitpicking.)
And it's great that it's BYO. I'll definitely be back.

Disappointed. Apparently its good to support the local business...so hence my sunday excursion to wine gum.
nice decor and the rest is disappointment.
customer service very poor...definitely need big improvement.
breaksfast was bland and coffee was warm.
usually when you find a good cafe, you want to go back again in future.
unfortunately wine gum doesn't rate in my books. thumbs down

Don't go for the Fritter..... It will leave you feeling Bitter. I Had the Pea and Zucchini Fritters, I returned them to be replaced or re-cooked as they were gooey and disgusting inside, they replaced them telling me they were soft because of the Zucchini, I personally could not even see Zucchini in them, more like the texture of uncooked pancake mix, the replacement was just as bad and i couldn't eat them. I would have liked to call the cook out and see if they would eat them, i imagine not likely! They either need to ditch them from the menu to or find another recipe. They were cleared from the table and no comment or follow up made from anyone, clearly they could see they were not eaten for a reason? very disappointed........

EXCELLENT! Such beautiful food, super fast service and a great location. Perhaps a touch expensive for sizings (this is a point for poor uni students like myself) but other than that, Wine Gum Cafe is a place I highly recommend!

WINEGUM IS GREAT! Beautiful staff are always willing to help and go the extra mile to make the customers satisfied. I feel sorry for those who come on this site with their negative personal comments. I have always had a fantastic positive experience at winegum and will continue to return and recommend this little cafe.

Had a great experience at this little gem of a cafe! The scones are to die for and rival those served at high tea at the Empress Hotel in Victoria BC Canada where we are from. I particularly enjoyed the savoury mince. The locals are very lucky indeed!

We love Wine Gum Cafe. Since the wine gum cafe opened in our area we have gradually changed to fresh Merlo coffee almost daily, and often have breakfast or lunch because we like the 'home made' healthy food choices. Sometimes we also pick up takeaways for tea. The owners and their staff make us feel welcome and special by remembering our names and food preferences (wholemeal bread, no butter) and greeting us with smiles. There are times when the cafe is very busy but everyone stays calm and copes, including the regular customers who now know each other well enough to chat together while waiting. Michael and Darrel are skilled cafe managers and staff trainers so local young people are given employment and training in their local area but there is a core of popular long term staff to maintain a good service. Not only does Wine Gum keep us in coffee and healthy food but they have also given us a community hub that we are proud to support. The occasional little frustrations are a small inconvenience when compared with the many benefits of a special cafe like Wine Gum.

Great coffee but never good service. The staff bicker at each other in front of customers which is completely unprofessional. My first experience I waited in line for over 10 mins with 5 people backing behind me so the counter lady could gas bag with some lady. Its the same person every time to! The corn fritters by the way are not kiwi! There is no curry powder normally in them aand there should be corn in corn fritters! Yuk. Shakes are excellent. Brekkie is typical cafe style. It is pretty hard to stuff up bacon and eggs though. Not presented as nicely as I would expect. But it tasted fine. I am a regular for mainly the coffee!! And its my local. I will continue to go back and hiss and glare at the rude attendant just because I can.

Gotta Love the WineGum. Winegum Café is a favourite - great coffees, good selection on the menu, and huge servings. Staff are always so welcoming, friendly and obliging. This is evident by the crowds every Saturday and Sunday morning for breakfast / brunch and dinner. Their high teas are amazing.

We went on Father's Day for breakfast and it was fantastic. Food and service were great. I am a coeliac and the staff were more than willing to help in every way. Choc thinkshakes are awesome!

Quick, friendly service. They also serve Merlo coffee. My corn fritters were ordinary, but Mr B's Chicken burger was delicious. We also asked for a side salad instead of the chips; this wasn't a problem :-)

Less than impressed.. Inedible, watery scrambled eggs partnered with rubbery, tasteless mushrooms made for a unpleasant start to a weekend. The latte I ordered arrived in a tall glass, containing only one shot of espresso, was thoroughly disappointing. $15 wasted, will not return.

My partner and I went to wine gum for breakfast. We sat down at a table outside, being our first time to this cafe, we did not know it wasn't table service. Staff walked past us multiple times before I went in and got myself a menu. Not one staff member even acknowledged I was in their store. When we had decided on our meals, we approached the counter and ordered. Both meals we wanted were not available. If something is not available, it would be common courtesy to let your customers know what is now off the menu, whilst they are still at their table. No water was brought out for us and the food was average to say the least. Hollandaise sauce was watery, the asparagus was from a tin and the croissant was burnt. All of this while staff stood behind the counter area and chatted.
I won't be recommending this cafe.

Love You Wine Gums!!!. Great Service with the Best Coffee around. Darryl and Mike (Owners) are wonderful, always so friendly and seem to know everyone!!!

Fleur & Rob Walton-Bate

Rude. Used to go there quite often but will refuse to now after I was told they wouldn't do a toasted sandwich (which is on their menu) because they hadn't had time to turn on the toaster (even though I offered to wait).

Situated in heart of Gumdale in Brisbane's eastside, the Wine Gum Cafe is a great choice for a family breakfast or lunch. Our favourite time to dine is breakfast and their bacon and eggs is a real treat with good quality bacon rather than using the crap cuts. The coffee is Merlo and although I'm not always an advocate for Merlo, they don't burn the coffee, so at least it is palatable. Their savoury mince is nice tasting but gets a bit overpowering about half way in. Overall they could use thick toast rather than thin toast commonly used 10 years ago.

Nothing Compares. For the best lattes Brisbane has to offer, you can't go past Wine Gum Cafe. The friendly welcome from the staff is why the tables are always full. Try a high tea - most delicious and most affordable around.
