Best HK cuisine restaurant in Brisbane - on god no cap seriously fr fr no funny shit. If you can locate better salt & pepper pork ribs I welcome the recommendation wholeheartedly. Until then, it's Ho Lin Wah with the Hole In One. 5 Stars.

My favourite Hong Kong style restaurant! The food is so cheap and there’s countless menu options from your typical Hong Kong cafe classics to more westernised dishes. My favourite things to order are the salt and pepper pork and soy sauce bean sprout fried noodles (third photo). Always so consistent and delicious! In these photos are also the salt and pepper prawns and Singapore noodles. Both were delicious. The prawns were really good value for money and their stir fried noodle dishes always have an amazing smoky flavour. A must try in the Sunnybank area!

We meant to have Lamb skewer for lunch yesterday. Unfortunately, the eatery that we intended to go closed for no reason. We forced to drive down further to Pineland Plaza for lunch.
Well, we have not visit this cafe for a long time so checked it out. Business was quite busy and staff are very attentive and friendly.
Ordered a dish of satay beef with pan-fried rice roll, which is passable but lack of “Wok Qi”. The wonton noodle soup is not bad at all but the noodles can be improved. Overall, CP is good here👍

“Hole Lin Wall” is what this place feels like. Some cheap authentic Asian cuisine is what you expect and what you get.

Very long menu as is often the case, so dont get dazzled by too many choices. Service of the food was a bit slow of the chow mein, but flavours all there

Wonderfully authentic Hong Kong-style flavours with decor to match. The pan-fried rice roll was especially delicious. The most inauthentic aspect was the service - the staff were far too polite for what we were used to! 5/5 stars for service.

As a south sider, I’m absolutely thrilled that Ho Lin Wah now has an afternoon tea menu. It’s a perfect place for a quick snack (or late lunch) and a drink on the weekends. We went there and got curry beef brisket and tendon noodle soup, satay beef noodle soup, and an egg tart. Pro tip: you could always choose your favourite type of noodles - we asked for rice noodles instead of egg noodles to go with the beef brisket, and egg noodles instead of instant noodles to go with the satay beef :)

Love the salty fish eggplant, egg tarts and hong kong milk tea here! This place has gained approval from a local HKer. Something to note though is this place is relatively small so your neighbouring table can hear what you’re saying easily haha

Great atmosphere, clean, nostalgic and typical of a HK coffee shop decor. Very courteous and friendly staff - over the phone as well as in person.
The spicy chicken wings was no joke. Crispy and spicy even without the sauce. Lovely tender meat
The pork knuckles noodles has good elasticity in the noodle and tender knuckles.
The congee was smooth but a little bland. I suppose the salt and pepper and the side is for us to add to our liking.
The combination ho fun has great wok flavour but the sauce is slightly lacking of flavour.
Overall, we had a good time there and will be back to try other dishes.

A 1960s themed Hong Kong cafe in pineland plaza - very interesting! I've been here many times, the afternoon tea specials are very good value, but the most recent time I tried the Portuguese chicken with the bread roll which I enjoyed. Service is quick and portions are pretty generous. My favorite thing to order is the beef and macaroni soup with a cold horlicks for afternoon tea time.

The food and environment here is simple but warm. Makes me feel like I’m home, dishes are very local, the milk tea tastes as good as the ones in hong kong!

Entering a small no fuss restaurant with prompt device at the door, waitress wearing min leng white Coats reminiscent of my very early days in my profession
The restaurant was not very loud our group arrived at 6 pm my family were famished they had been there before so new Exactly what to order

Our drinks were a lychee crush which on one sip was undrinkable the other drinks pineapple crush ... lovely cold
The meals were ordered and came out in rapid succession first the vermicelli noodles with pork mince and dried shrimp 7/10 ,tendon and brisket absolutely succulent and melt in your mouth 8/10 satay beef 8/ 10 ver very succulent meat
pork and plum sauce too many veg nil meat according to my cohorts and a lovely rice fried rice with diced vegetables and XO Sauce 6.5/10

As the food all came out it was absolutely enormous!! Small bowls came chopsticks and spoons only the patrons then poured in this hot spot. Absolute winner!
A must to return very inexpensive very clean

Can’t wait to return!Gordons Girl

Best Hong Kong style milk tea in Brisbane.
I go here too often. Their milk tea (with condenced milk) is so addictive I have to have it at least once a month(usually end up going more than once).
Well what I like about Ho Lin Wah is not just great milk tea but affordable comfort food they provide. They are nothing fancy but reliable in providing decent meals with efficient service. Whenever I dont want to cook this is where I come for a quick eat. Among all hong kong style restaurant in Brisbane this place is by far my favourite.
They also have a afternoon tea menu which is of good value.

I like this place. It's very decent Hong Kong fare, with an interesting interior. The food is pretty good and they always have the two choices for lunch specials.

When we come here, I usually get the baked rice dishes. But I'm usually pretty happy with everything I've ordered.

This time we came on a public holiday so there was a surcharge (15%). Despite that it was still pretty busy by 1pm.

Service is alright depending how busy. Usually quite good and straight forward. It was nice they brought kids cutlery without me having to ask.

We had the salty fish chicken fried rice and preserved greens duck vermicelli noodle soup. Both reliably good.

Recommend this place. They have a range of prices which I appreciate.

Decent food at very good prices. Comfortable dining area and excellent customer service. Their daily special lunch/dinner - with two choices of main course for you to choose - comes with a drink that is of generous size.

Amazing food. We are always ordering the sizzling beef. Very generous portions at decent prices. Staff are quick & attentive as well. There is always such an ambience when you dine in, but if you are looking for a take-out the food is just as good as it would be inside. By far the best joint in Sunnybank.

Eating with my partner here tonight for dinner. Probably the 10th time coming here, in terms of customer service and management, this restaurant probably is ranked one of the best in brisbane. There is so much on the menu to choose from and everything I've tried so far has been delicious. Got the pork and chives dumplings w/ bbq and roast duck on rice tonight which is really nice! (Plus the servings are really generous especially with their meats compared to other places) Haven't had a bad experience and haven't been dissapointed in any meals so far so i would reccomend this place to any who travel to sunnybank hills/ sunnybank for lunch or dinner.

Always coming back for some HK dishes, must not miss the French toast with peanut butter in the middle and tipped with maple syrup. And the coffee milk tea, the authentic drink of HK.

OMG Yes............AWESOME place. Absolutely the best authentic Chinese and Hong Kong food I have found in Brisbane for an amazingly reasonable price. Most dishes are $10 - $13 (Chinese hot tea is free) and are so good I have become a regular here. Very friendly staff and a great atmosphere, they are my favourite place to eat.

Pretty decent!. Priced well, decent serving size. Mapo tofu could use a bit more spice.

Restaurant is a bit small, you may find a hard time having a conversation over the loudness of the usual patrons.

I had the stewed pork hock (pig hand) noodle in soup and man. sooo good. the white noodles were delicious and the soup base was excellent, in addition to the tenderness of the pig hands. i really respect asian restaurants that dont simply use msg in their soup base these days, because so often the soups arent made with love! but this soup was so good :,)

looks like i have a new go to place now >8)

Good Food. Nice atmosphere, nice food and good service, so there is really nothing to complain about. I had the Ho Fun with XO sauce and it was quite tasty. It is open quite late so very convenient to grab some dinner.

Cleanest Chinese Restaurant I've been to. Went here with a bunch of friends for dinner on Sunday night, and overall everything was very good. Food was decent with a fair selection, and there was a lengthy list of teas on the beverages side (no alcohol though). Most notable aspect was that it was by far the cleanest Chinese restaurant I've ever been to - the tiles on the wall looked brand new, and the seating and floor was immaculately polished. Definitely a cut above the usual grimy tables and dirty seats found in similar restaurants in Sunnybank.

On the negative side, we had quite a crowd but the largest number of people that can be comfortably seated per table is 6; so that may be something to look out for. The place was also relatively crowded once it got past 7:30pm (it was empty at 6:30pm), so going early is probably a good idea.

Overall, the place was a very nice restaurant; reasonably priced and worthy of going back.

Ho Lin Wah. Authentic Hong Kong cafe and you can find the usual suspects in this restaurant. The food was not exceptional but the variety and authenticity more than made up for it. Can't wait to go again. Hopefully they will start selling egg tarts soon.

Food was quite good. Close to traditional HK food but not 100% I wouldn't say. Still slightly different taste-wise to what you'd get overseas. Great choice of food available. Noodles, stir fries, rice dishes, congee, snacks and some drinks too. Although the red bean grass jelly I got wasn't too great - I think the grass jelly was canned ones. Was ok. Worth a try. Price is not too had either.

Brisbane's only HK style cafe furnished with traditional 70s decor - with each window looking out into different aspects of HK in the 70s and the aged small tiles on the ground, it feels as if you've really travelled back in time. Bird cages are also a prominent feature - back in the 70s, birds used to be very popular and the well-off would take them out on "walks" to show off and most cafes would cater for that.   Instead of the limited range of snacks generally available, Ho Lin Wah offers a diverse menu ranging from western, chinese, snacks, and congee, making it suitable for everyone. There are so many options available that their menu can't fit onto 1 page.   What is most amazing about HK style cafes is that you get a 2 course meal with drinks for only $10.50. The set meals change daily which allows you to try out different signature dishes. For a measly $11.50, I got a soup, Creamy Chicken Rice, and a lemon iced tea (+$1 for cold drinks). The soup of the day was a clear soup which was flavourful and infused with chinese almonds. The Creamy Chicken Rice was very creamy but at the same time, overly buttery, which overwhelmed the subtle flavours of the chicken. The lemon iced tea was sweetened perfectly and had a strong lemon taste which made it quite enjoyable, but I would have appreciated it more if it was served cold (not luke warm) and had a generous slice of lemon rather than a sad looking half slice.     My fellow Food Extinguisher ordered a Hk style milk tea ($3.8), and you really won't be able to get better milk tea anywhere close by unless you fly to HK. The seamless combination of rich brewed tea with velvety condensed milk is guaranteed to hit you with a wave of nostalgia.   The Seafood Combination Chow Mein ($13.5) was perfectly crispy and topped with generous servings of seafood, which made me salivate just thinking about it. I would have enjoyed it more if it had more sauce, but that's just a personal preference. Verdict: For just $11.50 a meal, I r

2 nights in a row! We went to this newly opened Hong Kong style Chinese  restaurant two nights in a row! I really can’t believe it! But apparently Mr F  fell in love with this suburban gem Located at Pinelands Plaza of  Sunnybank Hills this little  Hong Kong cafe style restaurant has the traditional 60s 70s decor. My favourite Hong Kong “street food” is Fish Balls in Curry Sauce! (for a detailed description of what is “Hong Kong style fish balls” go to this Wiki link ) This is the MOST popular “street food” in Hong Kong and you can find food stalls selling these fish balls in bamboo sticks, even 7-11 in Hong Kong sells them! Little Monster’s favourite is the  Pineapple Bun .   What is a pineapple bun? It’s just a sweet bun with the top made of a dough with sugar, eggs, flour and lard.  Little Monster  loves the crunchiness and always demands for “more” and “more”. I like the Singaporean Fried Noodles, it’s stir-fried vermicelli with some curry powder. I heard you actually coul
