Loved this place. I didn't have the sushi but instead I had the chicken teriyaki rice bowl which comes with vegetables and salad. It was excellent. Service was ok, booth seating is cool and prices are reasonable A good selection of Japanese beers but they are short of plum and peach wines. We did find one of a very small size as in the photo Popular. Worth a second visit.

Satisfied my craving for a good and fresh sashimi (raw fish), great nigiri and sushi rolls, perfectly made. The miso soup was just right, not too salty. I was hungry after shopping for few hours, and I was impressed how fast they were able to serve my food. The staff are super nice. Highly recommended. Price is reasonable, too.

This sushi bar is a must visit place to go. The food and the staff there a very nice and lots of space around the area and the service time is very casual. I would come here regularly for a light lunch or a sizzled plate

Great place to go if you want to satisfy your sushi train cravings. The food is reasonably priced and the service is friendly.

Good sushi. A bit tricky to find as you have to go upstairs from the mall, see photo. Food was good, service was good. A lot of people came by to collect takeaway, probably for office meeting lunches. Recommended.

Friendly staff. Good food. Quick service. Fair price for being on Queen St.

Went here for a quick lunch option due to it’s location…the food was disgusting…nothing was fresh (avocado in the sushi roll almost rotten and black and cold), the karaage chicken has just been heated up in a microwave with no crunch, the ‘GYOZA’ had a wrapping of hard pastry / spring roll..not the classic soft wrap..to top it off my partner and I felt ill afterwards, Definitely not going back and food was overpriced!

I love their table decorations with splattered sauces, very artistic.
Also their plates which sportingly arrive with flecks of last meals dating you to eat the current delicacy…..
The sticky tape holding down a table number desperately trying to escape….
The wine glass however - sparkly & clean.
So there you go, 5 stars for that..

Fresh sashimi, unagi , soft shell crab and etc! Would come here again, however quite a pity that they stop accepting orders at 8:30pm would have love to eat more and enjoy our meal a little longer as I am from Melbourne!

Terrible service!

I usually go to another sushi train not far from here but I thought I’d give this place a go. For those walking to it, it is right across the way from the Louis Vuitton store on level 1. Sushi is nice here, fresh etc. I particularly liked the salmon and scallop aburi as it was freshly made and still had the heat from it being seared. Takoyaki was beautiful and creamy. Bit noisy from young people as it does cater for big groups, however did not take away from my experience. Would have liked to see some more variety of sushi like the volcano that Sushi Edo offers.

I had salmon nigiri and agedashi tofu. The food was under average. I could not eat anymore. Plus, the staff was noiser than customers.

My top favourite Japanese cuisine in Brisbane CBD. Authentic food, excellent sitting arrangement with sushi rail, smart devices for ordering, great menu and obviously great Japanese hospitality. Like to go 100 times at least.

Didnt really live up to the hype. It was good but not great. The service was really quick using the tablet ordering. But one thing i didnt like was the drizzling of sauce all over the extra dishes. Ordered karaage which was nice and moist but drowned in spicy mayo. The octupus balls was mushy which i didnt like.

Finally visited this underrated restaurant! We ordered the:
- Beef yakiudon
- Chicken Donburi
- Aburi hotate

The beef yakiudon was delicious and flavourful, but definitely could do with a bit less mayonnaise! Chicken donburi was yummy too. Aburi has always been my favourite so there’s nothing more I can say! 😋 Serving portions for the meals are very decent for the price you pay. Friendly staff and very clean environment. Lovely experience :)

Both myself and my daughter loved this restaurant, My daughter had from the sushi train and I had an amazing vegetarian Bento box.. Great food, Great atmosphere and Will definitely go again.Loved the ordering system too so easy!!

The rice were the worst sushi rice I have tasted and it is the same price as some of the other sushi train. We only had two dishes of sushi because it was so bad. Not a lot of customer at the time that we were there. Maybe the sushi has been outside for too long.

Best sushi train in brisbane holy moly. We are literally here at least once or twice a week we are THAT obsessed. The stand out and must orders are the seared Wagyu (will have just a bowl of that thanks haha) and the California rolls and pork dim sums!
FOODIE ADVENTURE
Really enjoyed this place. Loved how fresh and bright the restaurant was. The service was excellent and polite. We came in just for a quick bite and fell in love with the place. Can't wait to bring my family here. The food itself was delicious and so fresh. We got the Aburi hotate (Seared scallop), spicy salmon roll and agadashi tofu. Everything was perfect. Love ipad food system. Would be good to get a reward system like sushi edo.

So fresh. From entering the restaurant to the food. Greeted so politely. Came here for a quick bite. Location is perfect. Hidden above all the shops but away from noice. Sushi is made freshly. We also ordered the agatashi tofu. This was super soft and the broth was tasty. We will definately be back.

Ordering through the iPad on the table was so convenient, and we could check there how much we were spending. The sushi was fresh and flavourful, but the size was a bit small. Happy with fast and efficient service.

Had a Sunday lunch in group of three. As located as the previous spot of City Sono, I love the new lay-out of Ichiban Sushi with more opened space in the dining area.
Ordered the steamed gyoza and crab claws for entrees, 12 pieces sashimi platter, chicken karaage curry udon and a unagi bento set as mains to share among us. Steamed gyoza is just average but the crab claws won our appreciation with nice crispy batter and full content. Sashimi platter is nice with thick cut but there is rooms to be improved on plating skill. Udon is smooth and came in generous portion and the chicken karaage is juicy. Hero should be the Unagi bento. For the price around $18.00 the CP ratio is high. There are plenty of eel fillets in the bento besides the sushi, miso soup, salad and deep-fried potatoes. Overall, it was a decent lunch and thanks for the management.

This lovely new, clean Sushi store has a bright future ahead of it. The sushi train has a great selection and even more options are available via the tablet menu. I ordered the beef yakiniku which was a sizzling delight! Very happy

We went at an early time so there weren’t any other customers. We got quick service and it tasted good. Every plate is $3.80 which is alright. The seared sushi’s tasted good
Spice Dad
It’s new and looks very tidy! The sushi is pretty descent - make sure you check out all the options on the tablet menu as you won’t find everything on the train. Salmon avocado rolls on the train were pretty good though! Karate chicken was a real let down - I’ll stick to sushi next time!

Great Japanse place for a quick meal. Ordered a Bento here for lunch. All items on the table was nicely done and presented. Staff were kind and friendly as well.

I will come back next time for more items for sure.

Very well presented place for a Japanese sushi place. Came to Brisbane for a quick break over the weekend. My friend highly recommended this place for me.

Tried their items in store. Everything I ate was absolutely amazing. My taste bud was pleased. I will surely be back here for more in the future.

Loved it! I’ve been searching for a new sushi spot since Kotobuki (Albert st) closed to make way for Cross River Rail. The food is tasty, fresh and nicely presented. I loved the iPad ordering system and Japanese drink selection (they have Ramune, iced teas and calpis). Quality of food is similar to kotobuki but waaayyy better than sushi edo. Great bright and airy atmosphere too. Will be back!

Touring around the city and saw this venue in the cbd so we gave it a try, we order the tonkatsu and miso ramen very nice broth and the ramen is cooked just right. Highly recommended

Wasnt really expecting much from the facade downstairs but its actually a really big sushi joint. Sushi was fresh as there were a lot of people, probably more than the chef expected to be honest. As there were some empty spaces on the train. Smart thing is they had the tablet for you to order and they come out quick as well. Staff were friendly. I think I will come back again.
Misscharlot
Came here at lunch time and it seems popular with $3.8 per dish. The train is all with the special rolls, so we ordered through the electronic pad (at each table) for our soft shell crab hand roll, squid sushi and crab eggs sushi. Is fresh since so many people are here the turnover rate is fast. Just a little disappointed with the karage is way too deep fried too long and is in stripes rather then in pieces ?!?
Vik
Probably wouldn't pick it if I had another shot. There are a number of other Japanese eateries that would be more favorable than this eg Ichiban in the food court...
