Review Flour And Chocolate Northgate - Brisbane

The best as usual. Seems after 10am is a good time for less busy. I'll be remembering my Vanilla slice for the rest of the day, and in a good way. Lemon meringue is way above average in taste and texture.

This is a great treasure trove for baked goods on the Northside of Brisbane You will find pastries eclairs bread rolls and sliders with a wide variety of fillings pies and sausage rolls also gelato and sorbets They run out of supplies about 12. - 12.30 pm So come early Parking is not plentiful It’s easy to by pass it the premises are located on a side road so if you find yourself going over the railway line bridge you have gone past it on the main Toombul road It’s worth the trouble to find it! Main tip is to get there early before they sell out

I ordered and paid for a spelt loaf of bread along with a roulade a week in advance. The pick up date being Christmas Eve, I can understand that it would’ve been busier than usual and that there would have been a lot of wait time. That was not a problem, but what it contributed to and what was rather unprofessional was being lied to and told that I hadn’t ordered Spelt bread on the day simply because you's had misplaced it or sold it prior or just forgot to fulfil the order. Despite having an order number I had to produce the mail receipt for you’s to acknowledge the order first, only to make an offer of delivering one a few hours later followed by a call and refund over the phone because you’s couldn’t deliver your end of deal. Refund regardless, “one job”. You have no idea how much inconvenience that caused. Rant aside, the roulade was divine and I’d def recommend it to anyone. The pastry selection and small cakes are very creative and diverse as well.

Excellent selection of pastries & baked goods. The bee sting & mushroom croissant are particularly good, as well as their cakes. Great coffee - can be busy on weekends if you want to dine in, but fantastic for takeaways. Highly recommend!

I read some reviews ahead of visiting for the first time, so I got there at 9:30am in the hope it wasn't too busy and could get a table for me and bubs. Great timing as the line grew rapidly and the tables filled quickly. Quick turn around though. The coffee, food and service were all great and the young man bringing out food & clearing tables was helpful and swift. Looking forward to our next visit :)

This place is the best thing to happen to the Northside of Brisbane in a long while. Everything and I mean Everything they do, they do WELL! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone. Can be hectic sometimes, but not others. Staff are fabulous as well. My new favorite place!

Lovely cafe with an amazing selection of treats to choose from. The croissant would have to be one of the best I've had - and little eclairs were a hit with the kids. Will definitely be back.

Came here unplanned on Saturday morning. I happen to stumble upon this fine-looking cafe during my visit to the north side. Flour & Chocolate Patisserie has a modern, white-dominated building, but gives off cozy vibes with all the hanging flowers on the outside. It was quite crowded when I came, so I decided to get a large Pistachio Eclair for takeaway. The cream was perfect, not too sweet yet refreshing; melting nicely as soon as it enters the mouth. The pistachio is not overwhelming either. It was a perfect balance between the pastry, cream, and nuts. Moreover, despite the crowdedness, I was served relatively quick, but that was because the staff rushed me to order. During my short visit, I also saw heaps of other pastry including croissants, individual cake slices, cupcakes, and many more. I would love to come back and enjoy other menus in the future, possibly during less busy hours!

Another joint on my top cafe list in Brisbane. They have two stores now, one is morning side, which I have been to for a few times now and this is the newly opened one, which is located in north gate. And if you are already enjoy their morning side spot, you would love the north gate one even more. The new place has an outside sitting area and they provide coffee now and I must say their coffees are brilliant. The whole place is bright and dreamy. Their food is even better. They are a pastry and dessert based cafe. Croissants, sourdough, breads, donuts, danishes, cakes, u name it. If you have a soft spot for Parisian pastry and dessert, you def do not want to miss this one. But you do have to bear in mind that they’re busy like constantly, so you might just want to stop by early than late, otherwise you will have to wait to be seated. But it is def worth the wait.

I was excited to know that Flour and Chocolate has opened another branch over in Northgate! Since moving over to the northside, I have not got the opportunity to return to the Morningside branch as it was relatively further away. This time, their shop is way bigger and you do not need to worry about parking at all, as they have parking on site. It is also a cafe based, if you want to enjoy some drinks and pastries on site. That day, my aim was to try some goodies and bring them back home.

If one asked me to name my top five guilty pleasures, no doubt french pastries would make their way into the list. Having tried out quite a few within Brisbane, there can be no question that Flour and Chocolate are one of the best in the business. With their little store on Morningside, I try to stop by every time I'm in the area, which unfortunately isn't that often. Fortunately for Adam, they opened up a second and far more bigger store at Northgate, a quick 15 minute train ride from his place, a grueling 2 hour trek from mine. But he was super keen and wanted to support the owners, so we went on opening day.
