Excellent service Excellent food !! ! not like other restaurants where the moment you put food in your mouth, you feel every grain of spices in it....eehhh.... Kids love the food. Good value for money $?$ Good antique decor. Feel right at home....:) :)

Best aloo gobi I have had in Brisbane for sometime, also best onion bhajis. It's been a while since we visited Bengal Kitchen & it used to be our favourite Indian restaurant, so pleased we returned & actually managed to get a seat in these carona days

Just across from the Mater hospital and in an area where parking is tricky until after 7pm sits an unassuming Indian restaurant which is open for lunch and dinner. Of course its run by a real Indian family who have been in the business for more than 30 years, (used to be at the Bengal Curry House) and know how to cook superb true Indian curries.

Good service from smiling wait staff, BYO (with a bottlo a few doors down), relaxed and unpretentious.

had the lunch special for $10 as a takeaway, good value. had mild beef curry and it was mild and very tasty. good prompt and friendly service.

This place is really hit or miss. One trip the food appears fresh and flavorful, the next it is pasty and everything tastes the same. Very disturbing when the waiter asks you what should be in a dish and then proceeds to walk into the kitchen and start cooking...this actually happened*! Needless to say, it was no big surprise when Chicken Tikka Masala and Butter Chicken came to the table and all looked and tasted pretty much the same. When the Saag and Palak Paneer came to the table, I was convinced it WAS the same dish. I love Indian and after giving this place a few chances, I won't be back. It is a shame...the closest Indian to my office.

*Could have been the other way around - it could have been the cook that came out to take our order and just didn't understand what we were asking for...either way, very odd.

Good Indian. Similar to english style....terrible decor...just to make it an authentic english style curry house! Some confusion with order but otherwise well worth a visit.

Good restaurant. I think it was next door to Acu. I saw the rating of the restaurant after we had our meal. I would tone down on saying it was excellent. It was good and the chef actually came out to meet us. Well considering so few were there at that time of night. But it's worth having food there. It's not Bengali food, I would say rather Indian although the chef himself is Bengali.

I use this site to give me an idea of the quality of the food at a restaurant I haven't been to before. I was disappointed that a restaurant with a rating of 4 was so poor. The food was ordinary to say the least.

Always walk past this place until we decided to finally dine there for dinner. Greeted with welcoming vibes in such a traditional indian restaurant. I ordered the butter chicken which was soo good, it was rich and full of flavour. My partner ordered the goat curry and said the meat fell off the bone and was very aromatic. He loved it. Rice was perfectly cooked aswell. Highly recommend!!

My favourite Indian restaurant. I used to hate Indian food until I had Indian at bengal kitchen. Really recommend it, everything from atmosphere, food and service is A+! I've forced my boyfa to come here for dinner many times! 5/5

So happy to have found a great Indian in walking distance from my house. Had an early dinner here tonight and loved every mouthful! Is now in my top 2 fav Indian restaurants in brisbane :) lots of lovely vegetarian choices too: can't wait to go back

Tasty Food, Good Atmostphere, Great Value. Wiled away a couple of hours here last night and came away happy. The restaurant was full, the service was prompt and the curries were tasty. We brought some beers, sat in a corner, had two good curries and relaxed. Isn't this all you want from your local Indian?

Not great, ordered medium which had zero chillies in it. If your looking for good Indian in the area try Indian street foods or rajs palace.

Bangalore Kitchen -delicious!. Our first visit to Bengal Kitchen was great-the service was friendly and efficient, and the food was delicious with fresh, vivid flavours in all the dishes. We can highly recommend the goat curry, lamb saagwala and vegetable curry and we will be back!

Absolutely beautiful service & the food was gorgeous. My fiancée & I had a mixed platter to share & a main to share & there was lots of food & it was so tasty. Yum yum!

This is the best cheap Indian I've had. Love the range of vegetarian curries!

First impression: the lady greeting guests has an attitude issue. Oh well we thought at least the food is good according to reviews. Got home. Can't help but notice a layer of oil swimming in the curries. Naan bread is doughy and tough. The curries not only lacking true Indian spices but also basic seasoning. Out comes the salt.
We just moved into the area and are very disappointed. For all those who rate this restaurant, try Mahendras at Acacia Ridge- it'll blow your socks off!

We had birthday function for 23 people on Wednesday evening. Professional and friendly service. Hariyali chicken was good, pakora was crispy and tasty. Both goat and chicken curry was fantastic. Rice was average but nan was perfect. I recommend this place.

Great night. Hi,five of us went on Friday night. Great to see quite a few of our neighbors visiting for take away. We had lovely service and the food was very nice. Recommend the mixed platter starters and I am always a sucker for butter chicken and rogan josh. A lot of people don't realize that this place has changed hands and the new chef and staff are really nice people and can cook! Looking forward to visiting again.

I like something spicy n i found it here......

Foods ok but given the top quality choice of Indian restaurants in the general area they will need to seriously lift their game. Prices are very reasonable
