Ordered take away from the Green Paw Paw and found the food pretty good, I ordered massamon beef, chicken pad Thai and also vegetable and tofu chilli basil stir fry. Both the massamon beef and chicken pad Thai were really nice but the chilli basil stir fry wasn’t the best and the tofu was rather chewy. I ordered steamed rice and coconut rice, both of which were nice.
Definitely worth a try if you’re after some tasty Thai food.
I always go there with my husband ,yummy food with reasonable price ,the taste of food always so good that surprised me .We wanna try every single meal from this Thai restaurant !Highly recommended to try and I pretty sure you will love it .I gave this restaurant 5 stars!❤️❤️
Great food, fantastic service. They have sticky rice and green papaya salad! Hooray!! I'm always impressed when I come here. The prices are low, quality is high and consistent
This place is a small street shop that serves Thai food at a similar quality to any other more expensive restaurant in Brisbane. Very fast service with chilled water and cheapish soft drink options in cans. Flaws would be their chicken seems to be reheated frozen slices which doesn't have the best texture. The prawns I paid quite a bit extra for were decent though.
Very authentic Thai food, refreshing breath of home. Always welcoming to my parties and made from a Thai chef. Aroy อร่อยมาก อาหารไทยรสชาติไทย
It used to be called Renu Thai where the food was much nicer and staff was friendlier.
Green Paw Paw, though the name and its people have been changed, the street food concept is still the same. The dishes offered here are mainly eaten as a single dish; noodles, fried rice or a stir fry or a curry with rice. The prices here are quite cheap and the portions are reasonable.
The pork boat noodle soup was yum and the stir fry Gai Lan with crispy pork tasted nice too (just the veg was a bit overcooked).
Just another option of a quick cheap eat.
The Thai Beef Salad, Mango Sticky Rice and the huge variety of dishes are all bomb! Never been disappointed. Awesome price and good service.
Real authentic Thai food! Whenever i miss the flavours of home this is the place I go to. Fresh ingredients, nice people and nothing westernised or overly sweet.
Owned by a Thai mother who loves and knows food and always makes me feel welcome. Great spot!
Local Thai restaurant close to a bottle shop so you can grab a bottle of wine to have with your meal. I had vegetable Tom Yum soup and my dining companion chose chicken satay-3 sticks of chicken breast meat topped with mildly spiced satay sauce. For mains we chose prawns with ginger and shallot sauce with rice and fried chicken with turmeric rice.
The menu is extensive with plenty of options to add ingredients etc. Casual seating and friendly service.

Yummy & Authentic Thai Street Food!!
“Stir-fried minced chicken with basil”($12.5) was tasty and authentic. It was a bit spicy, with a mouthwatering balance of savory and sweet. This dish was good value for money because they served quite a big amount of minced chicken. “Boat noodle soup with pork” ($11.5) didn’t disappoint me as the soup was delicious and didn’t taste sweet like other Thai places. But “Pad See Ew (flat rice noodles) stir fried” ($12.5) was a bit soggy and didn’t taste authentic. So I don’t feel like getting this dish again. The service was quick and this place was small but clean.
I used to go to the prior business at this location Renu Thai a lot, and held it to be the best Thai Restaurant in the Toowong / Indro area. I went to the Green Paw Paw when they first opened and was not impressed. I ordered a Vegetarian Red Curry and received a chicken one. My friend ordered a Pad Thai and said it was quite a bit worse than the Siam Thai one she'd tried the day before.
However a few months later I decided to give them another go and found they've improved a lot since their first teething moments. Since then I have been back several times and tried the Red Curry again and the Pad See Ew.
The red curry had a very decent amount of crisp, fresh looking veges and tasted fairly good. My biggest complaint is that the default hotness level (if you forget to ask) is basically no chili at all. It's a bit strange eating a red curry that tastes more like a soup, with no detectable chili. Even if you ask for hot, you tend to get something mild. I think they're underestimating the Australian tolerance for chilies and that might risk creating a bad impression. One other thing I noticed about the red curry is that it appeared to give me a lactose reaction (lactose intolerant), which is strange because red curries don't normally have dairy. I think flavour wise, their red curry tasted a bit worse than Jai Thai or Thai Aroy but better than Thai Nakonlanna
My favourite dish so far is the Pad See Ew, which I think is at least as good as Jai Thai's from across the street, and has a more generous helping size for a cheaper price.
Three last things to say. The prices at this place are very reasonable, and they're also open very generous hours. Even in the morning and mid afternoon. Although one time, the website claimed they were open and I showed up there to find them closed. However that only happened once. Also the waiting time is very decent.
Overall I'd say it's about the 2nd best Thai place in this area after Thai Aroy. But has cheaper prices and better opening hours.
I would really recommend this place. Great taste at pretty good price and the portions are generous. I had been here a few times and was never disappointed.
Thank god a place that has green paw paw salad and proper, coconut milk-less jungle curry!!! Had the green paw paw salad with BBQ chicken and it was great. Hot like I asked for, very fresh, quick and reasonably priced. BBQ chicken was amazing with it. Can't wait to try the jungle curry and labb kai.
I am a fan of thai food myself and have tried popular places in brisbane like Siam, Thai Aroy, Thai Nakonlanna, and my thai kitchen, and I definitely recommended this place. Went there this afternoon and ordered stir fried noodles and brasied pork rice with my boyfriend. Both were really delicious! We also had black rice as dessert and it was amazing.
Not only the price is very acceptable, but also the food was served within ten minutes. Great service and the place is clean and bright. 100% would come back!
The Green Paw Paw is great. Went there to eat tonight with my mum and its such a cute little place. The food was great - we ordered the Pad See Ew and the Chicken Laksa. Favourtie thai place!
Average Thai food with good lunch deal $10. Staff are friendly and the restaurant is clean. Would recommend chill stir fry
Delicious food and open for lunch when most others are closed. We tried 3 different curries and the beef salad. Every dish was very tasty.
Authenic cheap eats with some uncommon dishes. The flavours are great but gotta remind them to do authentic Thai flavours i.e. normal sweetness/sugar
We had Thai BBQ and crispy pork, and a pork boar noodle bowl.
Great place! Tasty fresh carry, good size of portions. Absolutely good value for money. Not very spicy so answering the question about spice level I’d pick something hotter than I usually do.
Delicious food, presented well, maybe just little bit spicy for my Aussie friend. The shop looks clean, but I wish it would look more upper scale.
Amazing Thai food.
Very affordable, especially the lunch specials.
