The restaurant is in a great position, overlooking the Wynnum Wading Pool and other Wynnum surroundings. The food was quite nice, and the staff were friendly and good at their job. However, the time it took for my food to be cooked and given to me was very underwhelming. I would return, but the meal times have to be lessened

Live music, spotless shop, lots of polite help and above average Fish and Chips that was prepared quickly...what's not to like about Pelican's Nest By The Bay?
We enjoyed a beautiful piece of Crumbed Cod, plenty of Chips and Tartare Sauce for only $9.

Came here for good fish and chips and an old school burger and thats what we got. Quick. Clean. Great on a sunday and good weather. Will go back.
Probably the best tasting fish'n'chips on the bay as the oil they use seems fresh with no bad odour or chance of your meal repeating on you. Service not too crash hot though and is overpriced for its portion size.
The Pelicans Nest is our go-to place for fish and chips. Their barramundi is lovely and tender and their calamari is also beautiful. Their beer battered chips are some of the best i've had, and it's a family favourite, not just of ours, but of lots of the locals
Very reasonably priced fish'n'chips. We ordered a seafood meal: four pieces of battered flathead, chips and Greek salad for $14.95. Enough for two adults and two small kids, fresh and tasty. Much cheaper than Grace's next door. Keen to come back and try their breakfasts which also appear to be great value. Excellent!
Good food, but extremely busy. Best calamari rings I've ever had! The meals here are great and so is the location, but sadly because its a small place it gets extremely busy and cramped, which tends to ruin the dining experience. Like other reviews have said, it would be much better if they had a buzzer or some other alternative to queuing up in the hot, dark, crowded canteen area.
Yummy and fresh. Love this place. I never get bad fish from here, which is more than I can say for EVERY other fish n chip joints in Brisbane that I have frequented since arriving here over seven years ago.
It is a nice spot perfectly situated by the Wynnum foreshore so you can take the kids, get a mean feed, and enjoy it under some trees while the kids run amok on the really neat playground areas.

The calamari is just cooked to perfection and reasonably priced.
On the other hand the chips,potato scallops are overpriced. Charge for lots of things in fact! Been a few times but might try alternatives for a better value fish and chip shop. Could have eaten in a nice restaurant for this price.

The best takeaway seafood on the bay. You must try the chefs special calamari... It actually melts on your mouth! Only $9.95 too!
