Thanks team, you guys are amazing!
When I lived in Hamilton this was our go to place for all seafood, fresh salmon to cook at home or ready seafood to take home. Food is always good here
Always buy our fresh seafood here, particularly sushi grade tuna. The ocean generously shared its bounty today with both tuna fillets & tuna belly available. Obvs we went with the fatty, succulent belly to make homemade poke bowls (sidebar: they were ah-mayzing, 5/5 LOL!).
Service is always the best & you can buy all the accoutrements: cold bags, lemons, products from our beloved Mure’s & even the black sesame seeds we needed from their seasoning section. Phew!
The new(ish) location is a very schmick improvement & has a cafe with a $10 burger range, fish & chips etc. Given the excellence of the co-op I’d hope this side gig is just as great, although we’re yet to test it.
Sentimental self really appreciated the turtle artwork, commissioned by a local artist as a tribute to environmental conservation - made from recycled plastic as a reminder how we’re messing up our waterways (I’m paraphrasing...). Bravo!
Great fish had crumbed snapper which was perfect being fresh moist and tasty. The crumbed sea mullet was also excellent and very fresh. Both species are native to the area. Fresh oil. Calamari was a pass. Not cheap but not rubbish. I Have paid twice as much for inferior food. Sit outside or inside. Served in cardboard but who cares. Not super fast but worth a wait. Beautiful fresh raw fish too. Yep they are doing it and bravo. Go for clean fresh beautiful seafood and eat in an estuarine precinct. We went for a midweek lunch and easy to find a seat. The entire thing is about the food. All other factors are subordinate to that aspect. See for yourself.
Great fresh seafood. I am a regular and I cannot fault their good value for money!! Also an opportunity to buy your seafood from them directly which is awesome.
Diana. Am giving this a like tick for the coffee which happens to be a good brew of Blue Sky (which is almost impossible to screw up!) The small coffee shop attached to Sammies does coffee & sandwiches & thats about it
