I had a few errands to run today so by 2.30pm I was famished. Driving past Inala Plaza I parked in the carpark at the rear. Tra Vinh is conveniently situated next to the carpark. A short walk and I was in the restaurant speaking to the lady Manager about my lunch order before seating myself with a flask of hot tea.
I ordered Tra Vinh's signature dish, Combination Hu Tieu Mi, a chewy rice noodle and egg noodle served in a light soup with pork, pig liver, prawns, squid and quail eggs. At this time of day with only 6 diners, my soup noodle is ready in 5 minutes. It really does look as good as it tastes and it is perfectly prepared. As I pay for the meal I congratulate the Manageress on their signature dish.
This restaurant is often overlooked by the lunchtime crowd who frequent Pho Tung, Chac's Vietnamese and Tan Thanh. I have enjoyed quality meals here for the past two years and would recommend Tra Vinh for their Vietnamese food.
Quite surprised this place isn't rated higher. My dad and I used to go here every week before I moved out. It is definitely my go to place for Vietnamese food in Inala! So much flavour and the owner is always so welcoming and nice.
I love Tra Vinh! The duck stir fry and salad are beautiful. We regularly order chicken noodle soup which is always prepared with a home made broth. Our dietary requirements are well catered to here. Friendly staff and well priced. I think we sometimes eat dinner here more often than at home!
Vra Vinh Braised Duck. The menu at Tra Vinh has a range of noodle, soups, Vietnamese noodle salads (Bun Bo Xao) and rice dishes with a feature of BBQ pork and duck in their front window.
Very reasonable prices with quick service and tasty food. I ordered the braised duck with egg noodles (Mì Vịt Tiềm). The duck leg and Chinese black shitake mushrooms are braised in herbs and spices until it is very tender, and then served with egg noodles and bok choy in a broth. The meal was very delicious - almost a homestyle flavour (star anise, licorice root).
Hu Tieu Mi Tra Vinh Dac Biet (Soup). Been eating here for the last six months. I dislike dry foods, so i had a go with their noodle soup, it was absolutely delicious, very juicy and melts in your mouth. They used to serve a fried prawn cake with the soup, but not anymore, hopefully it will make a comeback in the future.
Definitely give the Tra Vinh noodle soup a try, you won't regret it!
Now a regular. I agree with previous review- yes the Dry Noodles (Hu Tieu Kho) is really tasty and yummy. Nice balance between all the ingrediants. Tra Vinh Province in Vietnam is famous for this dish, so hell they better get it right!
Brisbane's best kept secret. I have been eating at this restaurant for years. Although I love pho, if you go here, there is only one thing you should order - The special noodle Tra Vinh, dry (not the soup).
The noodles are freshly made onsite. The ingredients are the perfect mix of sweet and savory and include: prawns, pork, Asian vegetables and herbs and sweet chilli. The side soup has the most amazing pork crackling you will ever taste. Being Vietnamese, I can tell you now that there is no other place in Brisbane that has a noodle dish like this.
Love it, reminds me of a good home cooked meal. Pho is delicious as are their rice dishes.
YUMMMM. I love this restaurant. Really down to earth feel - very yummy food and super cheap.
Also love shopping in the Inala Plaza - has a really nice atmosphere these days
One of the many Vietnamese restaurants located at Inala plaza. I don't ever think of going to vietnamese restaurants to eat. It's usually whoever I'm with that decides that. So this morning my mum decided to go eat here for breakfast after going to the Sunday rocklea markets. Mind you, I had to wake up at 6 =____=
Loved the Dry Combination Hu Tieu Mi as usual. It's my go-to order everytime, for both takeaway and dine in. Food comes out quickly and portion size is great. They have since seemed to have removed the shrimp cracker from the noodles which I enjoyed.
Great taste and portion of food. Wonderful service too. I recommend to go this restaurant in stead of other restaurants in Inala plaza.
I always order the signature Hu Tieu Mi when I visit. Delicious broth and fresh meat and seafood.
From the day it opened a couple of years ago, Tra Vinh has been dishing up excellent soups and meals. The staff are great and the food is always of the highest standard and consistently so. Whenever I'm in Brisbane it's always my go to place for a great feed.
Friendly staff, great food and good price!
Wonton soup and combination vermicelli was as good as it gets whilst being under $20.
Best food at cheapest price you can find in Brisbane. Highly recommended. Try rice dishes and Banh Canh.
This restaurant is AMAZING! Beautiful, welcoming staff and friendly service with a smile!!! And the FOOD! Delicious, wholesome and fresh! So yummy! We will be back soon!!!!
