Good food and accommodating service. I will come back again
.
Amazing portion sizes and really cheap since it’s all share plates. Service was really quick, as they have a button to call for service which was responded to in less than a minute. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Would definitely recommend this joint if you’re craving Korean/Japanese cuisine! Food was AMAZING.
I always love coming here. They have great options on the menus. The atmosphere is good and so are the staff. We had 2 different soups and a Bibimpa which is quite filling. Would really recommend it!
The services and the food here are excellent! I recommend spicy deep fried chicken with chips and the slide dishes. Meanwhile, the environment is pretty good! Like it!!
Such a great food with good price.
Especially lunch deals are good👍🏻
Student discount around 3 to 5 also so great to have lunch with colleagues.
Great food and atmosphere! Always come here for when I miss the taste of real Korean Food! Definetly recommend! Always have welcoming staff as well!
Ordered two dishes/items and it was alright! The jjajangmyeon was tasty and smelled great. The chicken was cooked well and it was crunchy~ Will come back again in the future

It’s always full house! The waiter are friendly and cute! The food is yummy but a lot of dishes has been sold out! It is kind of disappointed!
I’ve came here several time and I always ordering the soft tofu soup. It taste super nice . I will recommend it to my friend. The environment is good and clean . Service are good. Staffs are friendly.
Staff are nice..Good place for a drink!..verrrrrrryy goood foooood. lovely staff especially that girl name Shiela but she left already. thanks.
Friendly service and good Korean food.
I love the tokowasabi. Need to order it everytime i came here.
Beer tower is huge and tasty!
If you are student they provide20%off.
Eat here a lot. Lately Warawara have student discount 20% which will be an opportunity to try out new food for students at Uni or Highschool. Awesome food and staff's friendliness! Would recommend!
I had a lot of meals in warawara. I m really enjoy it. My favourate food is pancake and hotpot which is not spicy but tasty! It s not expensive like others. Really recommondation!
Amazing food! And amazing staff!
Great atmosphere! I love the fried chicken!
One of the best places in Brisbane for fried chicken and drinks!!!
A very nice Korean restaurant. Been there a few times with friends - lots of choices and large portion - better share. Well... Spicy sauce friend chicken is nice - a bit too sweet if I got to be picky. But overall all good.
I had so many meals in Warawara as it is the cheapest Korean restaurant in Brisbane. I personally really like the Pork Katsu Curry and have eaten lots of them in several occasions. The portion’s big, the curry’s nice like Japanese curry and the pork katsu’s crunchy.
I also have tried the bibimbap, beef and soy deep fried chicken. Both were also good and savoury. The hotpot were also quite big, as I have ordered the seafood hotpot and they’re quite full of seafoods. The fried chicken’s also nice like any other korean fried chicken. The appetizer platter’s also good for sharing. The sweet and sour pork’s a treat as they have perfect balance!
Being new to brisbane we were looking for a good place for dinner and found this. We ordered alot of food as dint realize the servings would be big. The food was good and definitely will go back there
I LOOOOVE the pancakes here! Kimchi, chives, seafood - they're all good. I've been here a few times now, and everything from the entrees to the Korean BBQ is all super delicious. The only dish I've ordered from here that I didn't like is the chicken with cream sauce. I expected it to be fried chicken the way Bull Bar does it, but it was grilled instead. There were way too many onions in the dish, along with random rice cakes, and I could feel the cheesey heavyness of the dish as I ate. Besides that, the staff here are friendly, the food is usually delicious, and the service is real quick.
Next time I'm here I really want to try the beer tower!
I've been here three times and their food are good. Highly recommend seafood sundubu, sizzle beef and spicy fried chicken. Pancake was not that nice, batter was thick and not crispy, sauce for soy fried chicken tasted bad and weird. Cold noodle is not recommended for non-korea people, the soup itself is bland, no meat at all and if you put vinegar and mustard in then that's all you can taste . Pig trotter is so good and super super super spicy. Small octopus bibimbap also very delicious.
At least once a week I go here on my lunch break. I really like it, good food, quick, never overly busy and nice staff. Would recommend for lunch if you work in the city
This place is good old fashioned fun and more than lives up to what I think an izakaya should be. The fair prices, good food and ample alcohol make it great for a group of friends, old or new.
Ate here on the weekend, it was amazing!! Recommend the sweet and sour pork was sooo yummy. My partners had the boneless chick that was amazing as well. Staff could of been a bit more up beat.
7/10. This place has some great dishes and I really enjoy the vibe at this place and the venue is cool. Four of us went one night and everyone got their meals except my friend who didn't get it until we were almost finished eating. The service definitely needs some work but the meals have always been fairly decent. I really enjoyed that the gyoza weren't oily like a lot of other places you go, they were perfectly cooked and delicious.
Exceptional. Have easily been here more than 10 times in the past 6 months. The food is consistently very good. We love the fact that it is open late, so can stroll in at 11pm after work and sit down to a great meal ... how many places can you do that in Brisbane >??
Great atmosphere late Friday and Sat nite.... always very busy.
Don;t be put off by some reviews on here ... this place is unique and well worth a visit.
Late nite eating. For a late nite eater this is the place the go, superb fried chicken and the size of the meals are very generous, will defintely recommend this place and coming back again
Tots not a legit japanese izakaya but hey I've got no complaints cuz these people have got the best fried chicken in town. Fried chicken and asahi beer? I'm hooked!
Awesome food. I've been here 3 times and the service is always great! The decor is really nice and the food is quite amazing, especially the okonomiyaki entree. They have a mixture of chinese, korean, and japanese food on their menu - there's so much to choose from! Will definitely keep coming back!
Not as bad as expected. Ok - so yes I did see all the negative comments; however, I do think this place has a couple of things going for it. I do like the decor, it's still fresh, modern, and not overly bright. The service is good - i.e. I had no problems communicating with my waiter/s and even the matronly (owner/owner's wife I presume) lady was very friendly: always a plus in asian eateries. Only downside is they got our order wrong and some dishes took almost 40 mins to come out, I was almost very late getting back to the office!
Update - for those of you expecting to have the buffet, they no longer offer this!! (I was sorely disappointed) And they now open till 4am, not just 2am... or did I remember incorrectly? Well...
Foodwise - I think for the $10 special that we had... were passable - ie not too shabby. Considering the price of $10 for the ramen special (came with two could-be 'bought in' dumplings), I felt the soup in particular was quite good, especially in comparison to what you get at Wagamama; however, where they really fell down was the scant toppings and the very poor quality noodle. In fact the 'roast pork' slices were small (about the size of a 50c piece) and were 3/4 fat.
Having said that, I really liked their little side accompaniments. Today we received kim chi, pickled sea weed and macaroni/mayo salad.
Verdict: It's a bit of a mixed bunch - maybe it's just a matter of being very careful with your menu ordering? Just stick to Korean dishes (yes it's all very Korean here and not a whiff of true Japanese-iness...)
Very nice place to have a drink with friends. Decent menu with typical Korean/jap dishes. Owner remembers me since I got drunk here hahahahaha
Awesome! New hangout.. I don't understand why people are complaining, there is a menu downstairs before you even walk up stairs to dine, so if you weren't satisfied with the menu then why would you go anyway?
Anyways, my partner and I are set on trying every Asian restaurant in the city and since this was new, we went there. We enjoyed it! We knew it would be dominantly Korean than Japanese/Chinese, there was a selection of all sorts of food! Even Japanese food. What we loved most was that they even had flavoured Soju on the menu, although it wasn't available when we went maybe because they are new so we weren't too fussed.
I am looking forward to going there again with all my friends because it is a great hang-out place to eat and listen to K-pop. The food was pretty good and reasonably priced and the waiters/waitresses were polite and always looking forward to serving you with a big smile. For alcohol lovers, they even sell basic spirits and mixers for a decent price too.
BEST EVER MADE in Brisbane. People may say this isn't the Japanese Wara Wara, of course this is not the same as in Japan, people must understand we are in Brisbane QLD Australia and this place is carefully programmed and featured for Aussie people who would love to have tasteful and diversified Asian fusion/Japanese dishes and great drinking choices for Sake and others since in Brisbane there are limited Japanese population and certainly for other Asian population vs.
Aussie in general, this is really for Aussie PEOPLE, not to mention that three best Chinese, Korean and Japanese chefs are daily producing fantastic, magical fusion Asian dishes for the just right manners.
I trust all Aussie people can enjoy drinking and tasting exceptional foods for the right money!
Hope you could go and experience the dynamics and good hospitality with your fellas.
WAY-TO-GO, Wara Wara Brisbane!!!

+4.5
The gyoza was delicious! I would definitely go back just for that alone. I love my gyoza and this one definitely withstood the quality and taste test!
my old fave Gyudon (Beef & Onions) which came with a 'tempura' prawn, rice, a small salad, miso, half an egg and when it arrived, a special surprise in the form of some agedashi tofu. There was side dish of what certainly looked and tasted like kimchi to me but what's a little cross over between friends?
Wara Wara had a really great feel to the place because it was just so full, from when we arrived till when we left. The menu is ambiguous, with Korean dishes, Japanese dishes, Chinese dishes and some creative Westernized Asian hybrids. I quite liked the place though.
