An absolute hidden gem of Carina. I've been bringing my Dad here for years for a nice meal and a quiet chat. Sure, it's an unassuming local restaurant on Meadowlands Road, where many order their Sweet 'n' Sour Pork with special fried rice, chow mein and steam Dim Sims from their local Chinese takeaway without a second thought. And yes, it's as good as you would expect. However, when you're dining in, venture a little deeper into their menu and that's where their true authentic Chinese dishes are to be discovered. The beef Ho-Fun is to die for with that perfect fresh wok essence, and if you're feeling adventurous, go for the mystery meal, where they bring out real "home style" Chinese cuisine, a refreshing contrast from the typical suburban western takeaway or some of the more pretentious city restaurants.

Heard good reviews of this place, so for the first time I ordered the Combination Wonton soup. First impressions was wow looks good but when I had a spoonful it was very bland, no flavour at all, I had to add salt to it to give it some flavour, which didn't really help.. I'm a bit disappointed as the cost of it was expensive and I really couldn't eat it..😔

After almost 2 years living in the area and driving past on a daily basis, finally remembered to try this place tonight for dinner. OMG what can I say. BEST BEST BEST Asian food I have ever eaten. The meats are cooked to perfection, great balance of meat to veg ratio, amazing flavours!! Will not be going anywhere else from now on. Thank you to the chefs and friendly staff, you certainly take pride in your food. 😊

5 STARS - HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!! Found this secret gem last night when searching for the BEST Singapore Noodles in Brisbane - what a find!!! Fantastic food, EXCELLENT customer service - so warm and welcoming - will definitely be back! Well done, Asian House Carina!

I ordered the vegetarian stir fried noodle and the ma po tofu. Both were quite good and above average. Good quantity of food and it tasted fresh as well.

Very Disappointing, waited for roughly an hour to get our takeaway. Fried rice was like a soggy tasteless steamed rice (both the vege and the "special") Lemon chicken, which was the cause of the delay, was way over cooked. Full disclosure, they offered money, which i did not accept, and gave extra portions, but when you just want a tasty meal on a friday night this does not cover it. Largely I think it was due to the organised chaos within the shop and the amount of orders at the time. First and probably last time for me!

Amazing Chinese food! Definitely recommend trying Asian House. BYO < yes please!!! Great atmosphere and service. I’ve also attended Chinese New Year Banquet and wow the food you get is off menu but so delicious.

Ordered takeaway from Asian House. Decent portions and taste. My partner had the hot and sour soup and salt and pepper calamari. Calamari was crispy and tasted as it should and the soup had a nostalgic taste. I had the vegetarian MaPo Tofu which was good but could have been spicier for my palate. The sauce wasn’t really a MaPo tofu sauce but without meat I wouldn’t have expected it to. Perhaps renaming the dish? Overall it wasn’t mind blowing but a good local Chinese that I would visit again.

I reviewed the Asian House, unfavourably, about 3 years ago. Oh boy, has this place changed! Service is good and the food has stepped up a gear, fast approaching excellent! I would recommend the hot and sour soup which is a meal in itself along with the quail, cooked to perfection. There is still a lot of emphasis on takeaways, though more staff so the restaurant customers don't have to wait like they used to. Only downside is it is still a little expensive for the suburbs but a handy and comfortable little venue for a family gathering. However, great Asian food, great service, Licenced and BYO; impressed; highly recommended!

This is hands down my favourite Asian restaurant in the whole of Brisbane. We used to frequently attend the Asian House in the Valley many many years ago but then the owner sold it on and with the new owners it just wasn't the same. However we knew that this Asian House was owned by the son of the original owner of the one in the Valley. The food literally tastes the same as it did 15 years ago! Asian house is fantastic value for money and the servings are huge. The food is so tasty and authentic and the restaurant has a lovely atmosphere. The staff are very welcoming and professional and offer fantastic service and nothing is ever too much trouble. Unfortunately I don't come here as often as I would like because we live on the other side of town - but when we do go it is always well worth the drive. Definitely recommend.

The food was really very good on the night (Dec 6th 2015) that we took 6 adults fro a birthday meal here. Very clean place with a modern decor. True - it is a suburban restaurant setting - but hey - if the service is so professional and the food so good who cares? Hard to find a nice clean easy access restaurant with decent food these days - especially with staff who actually care, We are quite scared to review as they will probably get booked out and we wont get bookings again - or worse still - move. We are heading there on the 5th of Feb 2016 for another birthday meal (just me and hubby) so we will see if they are consistent Coral.

This is a standout restaurant. I go here all the time mostly for takeaway but their dine in service is solid too. The food is second to none. Best Chinese I have ever had.

We would usually love the takeaway food from here but very disappointed tonight. Sang Choi Bow was only half a container. When we phoned were told it was normal serve. Not so, as we've had it many times. For the price that is charged, we are very disappointed. Chicken and Cashews had a small amount of chicken and lots of celery. Will be thinking twice before ordering anything in the future.

Asian House Carina. Coming from NQ we only get to eat here on holidays. We have never eaten better quail or deep fried ice cream, but there are so many other yummy dishes we can't list all! Service is great and staff really friendly. Would recommend to anyone looking for tasty Chinese or Asian food. Can't wait to get down again.

Gluten Free means flavour free. We had a take away meal tonight. We have been here in the past and found it was reasonably good but tonight we have to ask what happened - did someone in the kitchen panic when we asked for Gluten Free and thought we said flavour free ? Yes, our diet MUST be gluten free. Tonight we ordered Sizzling Garlic Beef (still waiting for the sizzle, garlic ? - too much to ask for, not even a hint), Chicken with Cashew (yes we got chicken with cashew - The place is called "Asian House" so one may think there may be an Asian style of cooking and flavours. Bland chicken with vegetables, and cashew nuts. Even I can cook diced chicken and throw a handful of cashew nuts in with it and call it "Chicken with Cashew"), Salt and Pepper Calamari - chewy and very much Ho Hum. Yep, if you are Gluten Free and your taste buds also have to be Flavour Free then eat here otherwise don't waste your money.

NEVER disappointing!. We, and a number of friends, have been eating here VERY regularly for years (minor celebrations, lunches, dinners, Chinese New Year, take-aways). We have NEVER had a bad or disappointing meal!

Just had king prawn deep fried wontons and was absolutely horrible. The honey chicken was dry and couldn't taste any honey. The duck and Bok Choy was very average duck dry over cooked chewy but the sauce and vegetables were beautiful.

Whether you are dining in or taking away, you will not be disappointed. The food is fantastic, the amount per serve is very generous and the service is friendly and fantastic. I cannot speak highly enough about this wonderful suburban Chinese restaurant. With the local Chinese restaurant harder to find with all the other Asian flavours taking over, we were very happy to find a truly classic old fashioned restaurant focusing of great food and service.

Yummy. A great way to dine on a Sunday!!! Especially with 4 children... Food is amazing and service very good. The best Chinese food I've ever tasted, and the soft shell crab is so worth ordering. We highly recommend this restaurant.

Good Suburban Chinese. The food here is really nice and I don't worry about getting food poisoning here because they do an alight turn-over and the food always tastes fresh. Combination Hor Fun is my favourite :)

I go here when ever I can't be bothered driving into the Valley. It is the best Chinese food outside of china town hands down. Always great service and very consistent and authentic food.
