Review Midam Korean Charcoal Bbq - Brisbane

Lachlan Toppenberg
Food - very good, service - extremely good. I ordered take away for dinner whilst at the Anytime Fitness next door and the staff went the extra mile and dropped it into the gym reception for me. I ordered the beef bibimbap and my partner had the seafood soft tofu soup. Both were really tasty and good size for the price and came with lots of sides, enough for two. Overall great experience my first time ordering here.

Korean BBQ Buffet restaurant at $38 pp. I like the selections of Beef and Pork Belly. Good value for Meatlovers with big appetites 😁

Good average- staff -not helpful at all. First time at the restaurant and our 4 cars got a $300 parking fine each from council- it’s not rocket science- put a sign on each table- customers be aware street parking can lead to a fine of $300 after 8pm. Would recommend not to go there. Food definitely not worth getting a $1200 fine.

Been here couple times, service is amazing consider how busy this place this, you can hit the bell for service - Would love to come back again with group of friends. Have to give a shot out to the amazing staff- David who have looked after our table and recommended the menu to us, guild us though the buffet and the gentlemen with glasses working at the reception was very friendly too! Recommend to book the table at least a day before, this place is very busy.

A few things to say, I feel this place has been judged to harshly from other people that have rated it. This a friendly and welcoming atmosphere and it is very much Korean BBQ, this means you need to accept a few thing, this place is run like a true Korean BBQ and you may feel culture shock from it, remember the staff are there to help you and many complaints I have read could of been solved by asking a staff member. There is also something else you need to know, with the all you can eat, you need to understand they don't want you to waste food. To prevent this they say if you grab to much meat and you can't eat it all they will fine you 20bucks, be understanding this is a big thing in Asian culture (to not waste food) and to respect this is not hard. Moving on to the food it is high quality and the price is well and truly a bargain for what you get, so if you think you want to try it stop thinking and start doing this place is a hidden gem and should be visited.

The food is delicious and the service is on point. We had everything we needed to enjoy amazing food. The staff were amazing and attentive. Looking forward to trying the rest of the menu. This could be my new favourite place to eat.

We came with 9 people, if 1 person ordered the BBQ everyone had to order it despite food/allergy requirements. I asked to sit separately from the rest of the family so I could have something different they said there was no tables but when I went outside there was plenty of tables. I had to pay $40 to eat sweet potato, a spring roll and kimchi. The service was atrocious. We were stuck in a back room getting smoked out like a hot box with no ventilation. Won’t be coming back.

Not sure if they deserve one star. One staff member served me had poor attitude while taking order, dragging her feet on the ground making noise. She does not look like she wants to be here. As I love KBBQ wish the staff member was educated well to treat customers.

One of my favourite Korean BBQ places in Brisbane. Got the Set B this time and it was quite good. Although I prefer beef over pork, it was nice to try something different. <br/>The staff is nice and friendly and the place has a great atmosphere.

A very clean, well decorated restaurant with wonderful service and fantastic food. Average pricing but the cuts of meat are well worth the money. Far and away my favourite Korean BBQ south of the city.
Daniel Chun
Very over priced and small proportion. Had to wait 40 mins to get our food

Phuong Tran and I decide on a meaty Saturday dinner so Korean BBQ Buffet it is! Midam is a comfortable and well ventilated restaurant and on arrival we are politely greeted and seated. The Buffet is $37.90 pp and includes some cooked food, a selection of raw meats, salads, side dishes, sliced oranges and cold water. <br/><br/>It is a full house with most tables ordering the Korean BBQ. I expected a variety of sliced fruits, ice cream, soft drinks/juices for the price. And both times when I asked staff for more prawns, the tray returned with 10-12 tiny prawns for 60 patrons.😂 Overall, we had a decent meal but I am not sure we will return for the BBQ Buffet.

My Korean friend highly recommends the 'Midam' which is a restaurant that has both a Korean BBQ buffet and a lot of meals. My favourite one is superb sweet chilli fried chicken, come with a side of salad. It's such a perfect spot for Korean lover.

Delicious authentic Korean food... Tried both the bbq buffet and their ala carte menu.... Very nice.<br/><br/>Definitely would go more often with my wife, she loves the Korean bbq... Especially the ox tongue

Was invite out by my brother for a catch up dinner and he felt like Korean bbq. With so many booked out and needing a table of 10, Midam was the only one to offer 2 tables side by side.<br/><br/>We arrive and greeted by friendly staff and shown to our tables with my brother already there.<br/><br/>So we went with the buffet, @$37.50 a head. Also added 3 extra dishes.<br/><br/>Then the fun began, everyone went to get their dishes to start cooking, among sides and fried foods like spring rolls, fried chicken, fish balls, glass noodles, pasta salad.<br/><br/>After a little wait, they bring out the hot coal for bbq cooking. We had ox tounge, pork belly, steak, chicken and plenty of others too. All self service, they also change the hot plate when dirty.<br/><br/>Food was good, we all enjoyed our meal are way too much. Only down side is the smell of bbq after, also a bottle of iced tea for $6.50 and a bottle of beer only $6 something isn't right.<br/><br/>There is only so much you can eat at all you can eat.<br/>

This place is just fabulous. Took my best friends here and we all had the buffet and it was absolutely worth every cent. The meats were fresh and delicious, the sides were abundant, the kimchi was excellent and the drinks specials were good too.<br/><br/>If you go here, remember to take your biggest appetite. <br/><br/>Midam also has a great setup and decor and I think I spotted little private rooms you can book to get you away from the general eating area.

We decided to dine here Friday night. Our little group of four love Korean BBQ so between the four of us we shared a Premium Wagyu Beef Set A and Mini Pork Set D. We all rolled out of Midam very full and very satisfied

Arrived on a Sunday evening and was promptly seated. They have buffet style Korean bbq for ~$38 pp and also the a-la-carte menu. We weren’t too hungry so opted for the menu option (although we were stuffed at the end). We ordered a beef rib hot pot, bibimbap, mini beef set, and kimchi noodles. Food came promptly and with banchan. The portions were generous and the meat was fairly fresh. When you order bbq sets you can order diff side dishes for a fraction of the full price. Overall, it was a great variety and food was pretty good. Will definitely be back to try the Korean bbq buffet when craving a huge meat feed.

We meant to re-visit the Sichuan Spice restaurant but it was fully booked for private function so went next door to explore this Korean eatery. Not because that, we probably keep continuously missing the improvement of this restaurant. <br/>We were greeted by the friendly wait-staff when we walked in and one of them led us to the area to have a la cart after we indicated our purpose of dine-in. Then we were showed the offer of early bird specials on a menu so we might as well to follow their promotion to have a hot stone braised beef short rib and a hot stone seafood soup with additional order of an entrée of pan-fried dumplings. Honestly, dumplings are only passable but the other two dishes are too outstanding. <br/>The beef ribs are slow-cooked to perfection that fall apart from the bone. Turnip pieces absorb all the flavour and they are soft. Glass noodles are extra-surprise. Besides that the seafood soup is made of many seafood with shelled prawns, mussels, half sand crab and squid. If not because the disgusting fly keep attacking us and the ventilation is not good inside the restaurant, full mark will be granted for this review. <br/>Rating 4.5/5 <br/> <br/>Jun 26, 2015  Rating 3/5 <br/>Located next to Sichuan Spice Chinese restaurant at Farne Street. I found this restaurant is always busy with Korean diners. Tried it one night but I could not find any significant competitive power of this restaurant against its competitors; again, a la carte with option of buffet "all-you-can-eat". Although they provide a huge spacious dining area, large range of meat varieties for buffet and also charcoal grill, I just found that there are overwhelming supplies of this type of trading strategy. Are there any different dishes in the menu? Think about it!

Pretty good.<br/><br/>Unfortunately the beef tongue was short and not refilled frequently enough <br/><br/>Side dishes didn’t get refilled and were cold for example the fried chicken<br/><br/>===<br/>Update 2019 - multiple visits<br/><br/>Much better now. Great sides, nice juicy meat<br/><br/>5/5
Spice Is Life
Came here to dine on a Sunday afternoon and went for the lunch BBQ buffet for $33.90. The quantity and quality of meats were excellent and if the meats are all you’re after, you’re in for a treat! I personally ate my and my wife’s quota of red meat for the month!<br/><br/>The some things I wish they had more of were the traditional sides (the ones usually served in small plates) and more options for dessert such as fresh fruit. Overall, a decent experience but would have been made better with one or two tweaks.

Been here twice and it’s honestly my favorite out of he KBBQ places I’ve been to. The prices are reasonable and the value is good too! I love coming here with friends and family and just eating till our stomachs burst! <br/>It’d also be great if the workers could better understand English, since a lot of non-Asian/Korean customers come here, especially since KBBQ is booming in Australia. <br/>
Long Giang
Self-serve fishcakes and kimchi? Yes please! A staple KBBQ place to go to if you want all-you-can-eat meat and show off your cooking skills to your Asian girlfriend. Unfortunately, you will have to fight for the beef tongue when they come out. But that’s ok, you’re here to show off to your girl how much of a man you are right?

Came with some friends, the atmosphere is nice and the food was good. Side dishes were awesome, best that I've had at a Korean restaurant in Brisbane. Wish the menu had more variety though
Bekkah Maree
The food was amazing.. there was a slight communication problem due to language barrier but never were they rude. The downside is parking. Need way more parking or make street parking allowable.
John Edwards
to be fair food was ok but the service was a different story and you are NOT WELCOME if you are by your self. So don't come here to eat if by your self and hungry as they will remove you out as if you were a pest.
Tomcat
Midam has been the Tomcat family Korean BBQ go to place for years. Their marinated meat quality and low $25pp weekday deal is hard to resist, but how about other traditional Korean offerings? With that question in mind, we made a quick dash for week day dinner. The well decorated establishment houses two main dining areas with a few private gathering rooms. We were offered a booth and after reviewing their long and extended menu offerings ordered: beef bibimbap, beef short rib soup & steamed egg.<br/><br/>The appetisers consists kimchi, seasoned Korean gluten and broccoli with chilli sauce. All three dishes tasted average at best with the kimchi lacked chili punch and overly sour. 3/5<br/><br/>Beef bibimbap was the first main to arrive. The hot stone bowl contains precooked marinated beef, shredded veggies and fried egg (sunny side up) all on top of steamed short grain rice. Mixed with sweet chilli paste, you have a fragrant bowl of happiness with a complex aroma. First taste and I was disappointed by over seasoned meat and the salty chilli paste. Veggies were not that fresh and the pickled varieties lacked flavour. 3/5<br/><br/>The beef short rib soup contains Korean glass noodles, sliced daikon and spring onion. The medium sized bowl arrived boiling hot in a clear broth. Decent quantity of short ribs was provided but unfortunately on the tough and chewy side. The soup on the other hand was a dead set disappointment with strong “instant packaged power” taste. 2.5/5<br/><br/>The steamed egg arrived 40min from ordering. The hot stone bowl consist plain steamed egg with plenty of chopped spring onions. Touch of dried shrimp and mixed seafood flavouring enhanced the eggy taste but was outshined by the overpowering saltiness. What a shame
3/5<br/><br/>Overall service for a busy night was quick and attentive. A call buzzer was placed on each table and requests were attended to within 5 min. If only I can say the same for patience and friendliness. 3.5/5<br/> <br/><br/>Hint: Focus on their BBQ. Their weekday BBQ buffet @ $25 pp is a true bargain. Good quality meats marinated well. Overall experience from previous visits: 3.5/5.

Good for overall buffet korean BBQ, plenty of food to keep everyone happy and full, nice interior and bidet toilet (very much feels like going to real korean house in korea)..
Claudia Ng
Great marinade for the pork and beef strips, the service could be improved if you hired more people to work the floor as the restaurant was understaffed as soon as the 6pm rush began. The floor was a minor hazard because it was dirty and greasy, but overall dining experience was delicious although the price was a bit high :)

I went here last Friday with a small group and we had no idea what we were doing. We reserved an all u can eat for all of us but it toke forever to get the waiters attention. They gave us no instructions of what to do. I ended up asking the people in table over from us what to do. Perhaps we just went at at bad night but I don't know it was abit of a turn off. But once figured of what to do the food was quit nice

Very good Korean charcoal BBQ!! We went the all-you-can-eat buffet, & loved it. Wagyu beef, pork belly, & a variety of other marinated meats. Plus some fried chicken as well!! Staff very friendly & helpful... :-)

Everything's done right at this korean bbq from seating, range of meats, great staff and service. Only negative would be the lack of choices in desserts. Would be great to have more than just icecream and a tea to choose from.

Another of the Korean BBQ restaurants clumped fairly close together in the Sunnybank area and again competitive on quality and pricing. This one is just literally around the corner from the Pinelands Shopping Centre where Mr Bap is located.<br/>Meat is generally well flavoured and side dishes and rice which you can serve yourself are quickly topped, with a side table for coffee or tea if you like. <br/>The separate dining rooms are useful for a less noisy dining experience.
Kee
Pro: Nice ambience, good quality meat, great BBQ facility, reasonable side dishes, fancy toilet<br/><br/>Con: poor service, lack of entree and vegetable variety, not providing individual plates, limited parking
Bambi
Great food but the service makes it quite dissatisfying. I've been here two times, both times with a large number of people. We booked out an entire room for a work party and then was told we had to squish into half of the room because they needed the other half for someone else. Not happy.
Sabrina
Have been here numerous times both BBQ and normal menu. Fairly good value for price at lunch times for BBQ - 24.90. I enjoy the variety of meat selections. Small range or side dishes - I didn't really like the vegetable sides and found it slightly lacking - felt like I needed more variety - liked the lettuce, fish cake and kim chi though. Toilet facilities were a surprise - They have the fancy new Japanese toilets.
Slick Chef Extraordinaire. Gangster Of Food.
Midam Charcoal BBQ always seems to be super busy for a huge restaurant! I guess the buffet is popular among the return diners and for $25, why not? I have found the food and service here to be a little hit and miss. Not great but not bad. To be honest, I think I enjoy the atmosphere more than the food, its noisy from people talking over eachother, the sizzling and smoke of the BBQs and the cheap alcohol... I miss asia!

Had my B'day lunch here yesterday after a disappointing choice of going to Goong first! -_- Anyways, the meat was fresh and tasty! :D The rice and side dishes were great. Took a first timer and she loved it!! Service was awesome. Their Kimchi was the bomb.com! Thank you Midam for a great B'day lunch!! :D

The korean BBQ buffet entitles you to a good range of fresh meats, sauces and side dishes, rice and salad however is extra. One of the better Korean BBQ places in southside Brisbane

Came here for my birthday dinner last night. We all ordered the buffet and it was good, wasn't amazing. There were only about 3 or 4 side dishes I think and we generally like a lot of them. Good value for money though and the service was pretty good. It was just really busy so we had to ask them to change the plate, but other then that was pretty good :)

Great food and service ...........................................................................................................................

Staffs were alright but owner is rude. Meat was tough doesn't seems like wagyu beef. It's not a good place for quiet conversation it's like dining in the street market

My favourite go to Korean bbq place.  I have found the meat and side dishes are always fresh, quickly topped up if they've run out and you can also have as much rice as you want too.  They also have a side table where you can make coffee or tea if you feel like it.  Service is quick and they change the burnt bbq plate upon request.  There are also function rooms available as well.

Not sure where to take your guests? Why not charm them with Midam? Midam offers a wide range of a-la-carte Korean dishes and all-you-can-eat BBQ buffet for only $28.50. Given that the meats were from Thomas Meats (famous Korean butcher at Sunnybank), I had high expectations. I was definitely not disappointed - the Wagyu was very well marbled and the pork belly was sliced to the perfect thickness (or thinness) such that it crisped up deliciously after it was grilled. I also loved the subtle sweet and tangy flavours on the marinated meats - the meats were very fresh so the original flavours really came through and you don't need to drench them in sauces!
Lilly
We tried their $30 buffet for dinner. When we called them to book, they didn't ask our name or phone number. However there was no trouble when we got there.<br/>I was surprised as meat were average as I heard they were owned by Thomas meats. Not much selections on buffet menu. They had meat (pork belly, (still frozen)tongue, beef, marinated meat), baby octopus, salad and kimchi . I was expecting they would also have grass noodle, Korean pancake or something. Next time, I'll have single dish.
MynameisFood.
The last time we ate here was for their Korean BBQ Buffet so when we decided to come for a-la-carte during dinner on a weekday, we didn't know what to expect. The restaurant was somewhat busy but only on one side of it which was the Korean BBQ area whilst the normal tables and seats weren't as full. The only problem I've had with Midam is that their side dishes options aren't as much as the other korean restaurants you go to. You only kind of just get the basics..
T
Each table has a service button so you don't have to awkwardly wave at ignoring waiters. All you can eat Korean bbq for $27ish pp. Meats are pretty good because they've been nicely marinated, side dishes are pretty good too. Restaurant is quite nicely decorated and maintained. Will return
Hungrykitty
Went with a group of friends, some who wanted to have the buffet and some who wanted to just order from the menu. Got there and found out that wasn't allowed... so warning: if one person wants buffet, the whole table must also pay for a buffet. We all ended up ordering from the menu. Not too many choices. Got a sweet potato noodle dish with some vege and beef strips. The noodle was very chewy and there was barely any meat. Food was quite ordinary. Staff were not friendly. We ordered some rice that never came. Won't be in a rush to come back.
Ericwinterhot
The worst korean restaurant ever. The price is misleading, the service is terrible and unfriendly, and so does the food.
Espresso&Matcha
We obtained lots of marinated beef, wagyu beef strips, marinated pork, pork belly as well as chicken. Apparently there were some selections of seafood, but we completely ignored them for the meat. I guess its also good to mention here that each table is only given one plate to gather food. Perhaps they use it as a mechanism to ensure wastage is minimised. Anyway, after all the juices are left on the plate, the waiter seemed happy to swap us a new plate, so that didnt turn out to be too much of an issue.
Lanbui_94
Don't go there !. Service was terrible , food was terrible and quality of the meat was terrible <br/>Paid 30 dollars for only little variety of food ,... Very disappointed and sad actually .. Was not worth the 30 dollats ... Never again
Fleximicki
Overpriced. Paid $40 for their special spicy steamed monkfish. The dish had mostly bones and fins with lots of bean sprout. The sauce was very bland too. Will not go back.
Chingtan
Does not impress me the range of BBQ.<br/>I do not find anything fantastic except the pickle raw cabbage.<br/>The marinated meat are sweet!<br/>I will not go there again even it is price reasonable.<br/>No seafood except octopus!<br/>All meat!<br/>You can do better than that.
Misteryun
Best korean bbq ever. Service was good<br/>Food was good<br/>Everything was amazing

Had better.. Went here for dinner tonight instead of our usual place, Goong (just around the corner). did not like it at all. the service was really bad. it was busy due to it being a Saturday night but still, customer service should still be on point. got showed to a private room and waiter just walked away. we didn't know what to do so after 5-10mins looking at the menu and no-one coming back to taker orders, we thought maybe we just go up and get our own food (all you can eat BBQ). the manager guy came over and scolded us for getting food when we haven't indicated if we were having BBQ or normal dishes of menu. how were we suppose to know??? nobody said anything to us. it was our first time to the restaurant. food was ok. the flavours were alright, marinated meat - couldn't taste much. beef was the worse. super chewy and flavourless. not worth the $30. ALSO in the private room we got put with a group of 5 ppl sitting right next to us that we can hear everything they say and vice versa.... so majority of the time, hardly anyone talked or it was very small talk.
Mamoneeleven
Poor customer service! Meat very bland.. We initially made a booking for 7 people (there was no mention they would put us in a private room) however when we arrived we advised them that only 5 could make it. Instead of having us wait until regular seating was available they put us in the private room anyway. When we went to pay they charged us for 7 people, when we told them we only had 5 the chap at the counter said he would have to charge us $10 per person for room hire (for the 2 who couldn't make it). In saying so, I vow never to return to this restaurant. Terrible way to generate repeat customers!
Theresia K
Really nice. Today my family and I went to eat lunch and the food was great!<br/>We did not eat the BBQ, we ordered single dishes and not only were the portions generous but you can serve yourself more rice and vegies for free plus you get a lot of side dishes, including soup which I thought was a mistake, a pleasant surprise! <br/>Also the deco and ambiance is really good! Nice soft music playing in the background, great seating, we were very comfortable, plus the bathrooms were clean and nice too!<br/>Highly recommend this great restaurant! The food is fantastic!<br/><br/>Only criticisms are is that daenjang soup was a tad salty and we had to wait a little bit to be shown a table as it was quite busy but those are very minor criticisms, definitely going there again!
Nuts
Food good, bad service!!!! This place acts as if everyone there is trying to rip them off. <br/><br/>To midan: We are far from Uni students and definitely didn't bring our Tupperware to fill up in our bags so please stop treating us this way.<br/><br/>Last night a very rude boy sat us at our table unwillingly, threw a fit since we needed 2 high chairs. Other customers came and this guy cleared a chair from the table next to us and slammed into the unoccupied high chair several times for no apparent reason. Finally a nice korean boy started working and he gave us great service, then when he got in the kitchen the mean guy yelled at him for no reason. We were there early as we have small children and there was only like one table full at the time, so we have no idea what he did wrong...but I suspect that it was due to one mother at our table not getting the all you can eat buffet.<br/><br/>I can't count how many times they have overcharged us at the counter when it comes time to pay.
Jamiga
Food over service!. Great food but really poor service - we were showed in to a private room and then asked if 12 of us could squeeze on one table, after saying no they just placed all the food on the table and not explaining what exactly we needed to do etc. then the cashier was making us pay for 2 extra meals that we did not have.<br/><br/>Extremely rude and they need to work on their customer service.
Melissa-lim
Be careful. Went there for my birthday dinner. Decided to go for the buffet option. Quite impress with their prompt service. Went to pick up some raw meat at the counter, look through all the meat on display, i was quite hesitating to pick the marinated beef because to me it looks a bit off but I thought should be ok once you cook them on the grill, boy was I very wrong. I had to visit the toilet four times.i did not complain because my upset stomach came when I got home, thank god. Honestly, it is value for money if you can eat , the slice wagyu beef is delicious and look a lot fresher than the marinated beef. So I would still go back to this restaurant again if they have wagyu beef in the buffet. Also would definitely open my eyes when picking raw meat, make sure they look FRESH.
LisaEats
Great!. We love this place and the fact that you can serve yourself without asking a waiter and waiting for another round of plates is fantastic. I especially like the savoury jelly.
TheYummer
Great marinated meat. Great restaurant in an out-of-the-way complex. The food was mostly really good, some of the marinated meats were amazing, the sides could be better. The decor is nice; contemporary korean bbq. The toilets were filthy tho... maybe just a bad night. I will give them the benefit of doubt.
Bigfan
Lack of customer service . .... Lack of customer service .<br/>Very disappointed . Never ever coming back again .

Used to be a favorite for korean bbq. -Meat quality on decline (wagyu no longer look like wagyu with marblings);<br/>-buffet contents with added restrictions;<br/>-service is awful and the staff have trouble with simple english communications, ordering errors, etc. etc. all ok but attitude was lousy.<br/><br/>No longer a regular as of today.
The Invisible Food Critic
Cheap & Fulfilling!. This place is my new craze, $25 all you can eat (weekdays, $30 weekends), BYO or have their in-house wine list. Whenever I crave for meat, this is definitely my place to pig-out. Great service, food is good and good value for $$$ (non-buffet menus also available). One thing I found recently that disappoints me is that they had changed their Wagyu beef to a different grade. Wagyu no longer tastes like traditional Wagyu, even beef skirt tastes better... I shall speak to the owner next time about this issue. Other than that, I'd still go to Midam anyday of the week. I remembered maximum times I went there was 4times a week... And yes... I gained a few kgs haha. I rate it 7/10
Stc91
Good quality meat considering it is all you can eat, especially like it when Wagyu Beef is included. Service is a little slow and 'difficult' however I believe this is only due to the language barrier. <br/><br/>Great place for something different.
Matt
Very enjoyable.. Delicious food, great value .... $25 all you can eat. Great service, friendly staff. Will be going back ASAP
Badi
Great value and great bbq. Great value at $25 all you can eat bbq. The bbq are charcoal which I prefer to gas bbq's in most korean joints. It is self serve for the meats, so it's straight forward and food was good. Definitely recommend this place
The Food Oracle
Yum!. My new favourite Korean place. Great service, fantastic food and beautiful decor. The steamed egg was so tasty and all the meats were excellent quality. The Jap chae was one of the best I have tasted (and I am Korean). Loved it and I am going back tonight!!
Henry Chiang
Poor service. Poorest service i've had for a while .. rang the bell for like 5 times until they came to the table and asked what was up then gave us the wrong menu.....took a long time to refill the meat and the side dishes .. and $2 rice?
Jamo
Man all I wanted was to eat my meat but nope they only gave me one chopstick and took them 15 mins to bring me another pair >____> god dammit

Shockingly poor service and awful BBQ meat !!! Definately will not go back there, customer service needs a massive kick in the pants !!! Went to today for lunch BBQ get into there at 1410hrs, ordered BBQ buffet for 4 people with cold noodle( took us another 10 min waiting for the staff to get order from us ) and the staff didn't explained what to do how the buffet things going :( we just sat wait ...wait .. And after 10 min later the staff came back with the charcoal .. We started eat ( the time was about 1440hrs shockingly we told that they were supposed to close the buffer at 1500 !!!!!! At that time , the clock was indicating at 1515hrs ...then they just clean up the buffer table and we felt really crap !!! Even we ordered Another clear nooodle at About 5 min ago and no one told us they will also close for a while before dinner time comes ....What the hell !! We had to be in rush !! And one of my Korean friend complained then there was a guy gave us 2 cans of drink. we had to stay there to finish our lunch until 1540hrs .. Very unpleasant ..!!! Gosh ... Even the meat there was so smally .. color was really disgusting ...

Nice place to dine. Very friendly service. Good price, and the interior is very nice. Very happy to find a new restaurant that can come with friends and families.
Sandra Nguy
Dinner was extremely good! The meats were tender and well marinated, and the side dishes were tasty. I assume some people are turned off by a time limit, but I think the maximum of 2 hours is definitely more than enough to walk away really satisfied!

A quiet night with two of my favourite people, we headed to Midam, to talk our lives away. The restaurant is in an area tucked away behind the large shopping area on Pinelands Road, Sunnybank. I've discovered a new area with new restaurants to explore (possible karaoke nights to be had nearby, too!). The restaurant is quite large and nicely fitted out. It's main focus is on Korean BBQ, but we chose individual meals tonight. Myself and another friend had the spicy tofu soup with pork, while my other friend had the seafood variation. Food took longer to come out than most korean restaurants. Banchan here included potato salad, a type of jelly in sesame oil, and the obligatory kim chi. I personally found the kim chi to be slightly sour. The potato salad was nice, and the jelly item was unique... Our meals were served with a bowl of rice, and the banchan refills were complimentary. The soup wasn't quite spicy enough, and the egg that is usually in this dish was mixed in. I prefer to have t

Midam Korean Charcoal BBQ is located at Sunnybank Hills, just behind Pinelands Plaza. They offer a wide range of Korean dishes, either a-la-carte or bbq buffet, though I think they specialize more on their Charcoal BBQ. From the outside, the restaurant may look small but when you step in, it is rather big.
Strawbeari3
We were really impressed with the quality of the meat. Although dipping sauce was provided, the meat was tender and tasty to be eaten without much dressing. Yum! Loved it!
