Le bon choix has the best almond croissants! I've been to quite a few Le Bon Choix around town and the almond croissant and coffee are fantastic!
Brightly coloured macarons and petite cakes fill the display counters, and there's a small but adequate selection of breads. The takeaway baguette and sourdough loaf I picked up was the perfect accompaniment for a post-Christmas lunch grazing platter. Service was exceptionally chirpy, even after a busy day of Boxing Day trading.
Meatballs And Beef Cheeks
+4
I spied Le Bon Choix just before Ronnielui2003 and I had breakfast at the nearby Cafe 63 and determined that I wouldn’t be leaving without some treats for the Meatballs Family.
I ordered two Almond Croissants and a Baguette, while Ronnie went with the beautiful Bambaleo to share with his wife.
The Baguette and Almond Croissants were both above average and rated 3.5-4.0 out of 5.
The Bambaleo combines mango mousse, passion fruit and banana jelly. Ronnie’s praise for this dessert can be read on his review, but it is worth noting that he rated it 4.5 out of 5.
After our brekkie @ Cafe 63, we went past this French Patisserie. Although we had tried its siblings at different suburbs, we still could not resist its temptation. Meatball suggested to get some take away, so we went in and ordered some. I ordered the Bamboleo (I think that was the name that I was told by the staff ) and Meatball got the Almond Croissant. Well, I loved the dome that I ordered because it looked great with the shiny Mango, Passionfruit and banana jelly mousse. That was just so yummy that I think other foodies would agree with me. Thanks for Le Bon Choix to bring us such a good dessert place. Happy Boxing Day:)
Besides their choca block cafes, Le Bon Choix also are known for supplying bread to businesses.
The first thing that you see upon entering (be sure to queue here, not at the pick up point) is the elegant, gorgeous looking cakes, to which we are given a 'one by one guided tour' from a fellow customer. As friendly a foodie as you could hope to meet, she said she intended on trying the whole lot!
So the expectation level by now, as one could only imagine, is absolutely insane, in short. The long, tall coffees - make mine a Caramel Latte (*****), Arline's a Nutella Swirl - and with a headache, I couldn't have asked for a nicer effort.
You weren't overpowered by either coffee or caramel, yet there was enough sweetness and strength to please even the most critical of coffee drinkers.
The salted caramel chocolate macaroon (*****) was the best I've ever had, calories by this stage ascending through the Westfield roof.
Fellow foodie AB was raving on about Almond Croissants (****) at this place, so with healthy breakfast's also out the window, let's give this one a go. And, sure, it's fine looking and fairly nice, lovely pastry and plenty of almond fraingepane.
My recommendation? Go halves on the croissant. Service? Very good (****.5) Some of the politest and most prompt I've experienced.
Nice, albeit a very busy environment, excellent water dispenser and bread and sandwiches that looked like they were in another league of class.
I hope this mind and tummy will experience those bread and sandwich joys another day. Check this place out, it's a must!
The cakes here are to die for, my personal favorite cake is BAMBOLEO. It is my go to for any Occassions. Their miniature cakes are are very cute and appealing to eat. Wherever there’s a LeBon Choix I always sit down to order the Almond croissant and a regular cappuccino. So good. A must try, I highly recommend it.
Good little Cafe which is not stuck in food court which is good! They serve good coffee and some excellent Danish. My son thinks the ham & cheese croissant was really good. Nice to sit at a table with good food good coffee and good conversation. Service was good. Ambiance was good. Will go again. I reccomend.
Always a regular visit for me when I need to unwind. I make sure to try the a pastry or a cake when I go. The hot chocolate is my usual and extra froth goes such a long way! Baristas are knowledgeable and the waiters try their best <3
All the low star Karen "reviews" on here are overreacting... Give it a go for yourself and then you can decide...
Great coffee and even better cakes. The Moulin Rouge is fantasmagorical. Do yourself a favour and try this on a special occasion or anytime really.
We had a delicious brekky, coffees and pastries, plus took a Lemon Meringue tart to have later, like, 40minutes later 😋!
They always have nice Parisian pastries, takes me back to our numerous European trips where daily pastry consumption is a requirement 😀
Anyways, as it's inside the Westfield shopping centre, parking is plentiful, the shop is on the second floor, quick access from roof top parking, The Bavarian side of the car park.
Good coffee and delicious desserts, decent amount of savoury selections. Eat in or take away. Friendly staff, gets quite busy some times but quick service.
Love cakes, pastries and sandwiches that look like art works. It has a lovey French atmosphere and coffee seemed good.
I do however think the seating is too close and it makes the experience of dining here feel less personal. I would not enjoy trying to navigate through chairs on a busy day.
I think that management should consider removing at least two tables just so that patrons don’t feel like the experience of eating these pretty treats are cheapened by feeling like they are sitting in a mall hallway take away shop. You are literally sitting 30cm from the next table in all directions.
I will however still give them four stars for the quality of food. Staff seemed friendly but not memorable. I have taken some photos to give you a sense of the variety and prices.
They do offer take away.
Enjoy!
