We went to New Farm Fish Cafe to try the oyster omelette. We also got the dry spicy pork noodle and the bean curd. The consistency of the omelette was interesting and the sauce it was served with was also unique. I loved every element of this dish. The noodle and bean curd dishes were nice too.
You
Fish cafe selling Taiwanese food? Your first thought would be that it’s a weird combination and wouldn’t expect it in New Farm of all places but wow …… the dishes is one of the most authentic food that I’ve tasted outside of Taiwan. Highly recommended if you enjoy deep fried chicken fillet or oyste
Thanks to Ada the owner for hosting my church dinner event. Everyone had a blast and loved the food here. My partner and I tried Barra and chips, pig intestines n vermicelli, oyster omelette (my favorite version in Brisbane), spicy pork noodle (yummy as and the oil is needed to keep the fish slick).
Nice place and nice food. Not many Taiwanese restaurants offer pork intestines thin noodle, but you can eat this in this restaurant. We ordered fish and chips for kids, and the thin noodle, oyster pancake and deep fried chicken for myself and my wife. All were delicious, but there was only one thing
Oyster egg omelette was yummy
Lu rou fan could be better, heaps of rice but stingy on the meat
Chicken fillet cutlet was good, could be marinated for longer for more authentic Taiwanese nightmarket flavour
Large intestine vermicelli noodles not bad
Friendly staff and delicious authentic taiwanese food. Photo shows the vermicelli and oyster omelette. The shop sells fish and chips and thick shakes too!
Taiwanese food looked nice & was popular but we just felt like old fashioned fish & chips on a Friday night - and it was nice! Don't agree that chip servings are small. Plenty for us. Also ordered grilled fish which was good
Loved their Taiwanese menu. The chicken wing and fried chicken were really good. The rice noodle soup was a bit bland.
