A+ Indian food.
My mum and I shared two curries and some pappadums and we were both really happy. The food was really yummy and the waiter serving us was very sweet, knew the menu well and made sure we got the perfect amount of spice.
I'll definitely be back.
Only reason I didn't give a 5 is that the place itself is a bit shabby looking and I probably wouldn't have given it a go if it hadn't had such good reviews here.
Wonderful Indian prepared beautifully. We were a group of five and ordered a number of dishes, all made individually with its own spices and sauces. Awesome variety and good prices. Friendly and fast service with a homely feel. Decor suits that dining at home feel.
Best indian food we had in a long time. we had dal makhani, kadhai paneer. Both were amazing. We had ordered this through Uber eats and it was best experience through uber eats so far.
If you're looking for a nice restaurant with a fancy interior then I wouldn't recommend this place, but if you're looking for the best Indian food in Brisbane then I certainly would! It’s old, a little dingy inside but the food is amazing and the staff are all so lovely. A friend took me years ago right before moving overseas and since returning a few months ago, I have been about half a dozen times, if not more. Everything I have eaten here has been remarkable. The curries are so flavoursome and the naans are super soft and fresh, you can certainly tell they are made fresh in store. I love the fact that the curries have whole cloves, cardamom pods and pieces of cinnamon bark in them rather than just a generic, pre-made flavour base; you can really tell they take the time to ensure authentic flavours are in each dish. I would highly recommend the chicken korma, Penang curry and the daging masak merah.
I had been there on the occassion of my wedding anniversary and they made it special with some amazing seafood cuisine. We had bollywood prawns n bengal curry and it was a mesmerizing experience. Just too good food...its too contraditory to its looks
Went there with my partner for dosa for lunch on Sun. It was surprisingly good!! It really nailed the taste of Southern India. Will def go back for dosa on weekends again.
Stunning food. Unfaulted Indian food. Amazingly friendly staff and highly recommended.
Yummy food for your Tummy !!!. We have been to this place multiple times now. Never a time the chefs disappointed us... Great food quality, taste, quantity... Good hospitality from people too.... Never miss trying this place...
Pricey but delicious. I personally love this place. I can't eat many hot/spicy things and this place was perfectly accommodating in my request for a very mild meal. It was mild enough that it suited my dietary needs but still full of flavour, rich and creamy with the perfect amount of spices. It's a little expensive but in my opinion for a night dining out with some friends, it is a good place to go.
Went here with friends for a reunion of our India trip. We agreed that it's the best Indian we've had since we've been home. The chicken biryani is the highlight of the dishes I've tried. Pretty large servings too.
Just moved into the area and have eaten here 3 times now. All 3 times the food was delicious and the service from the friendly young waitress was fast and friendly. I don't know about the "best in Brisbane" from some other reviews, that's a big claim, but damn it's good and I can see me becoming a regular.
Delicious. Best Indian restaurant around. Only place I can confidently bring my fussy traditional parents for a delicious curry.
A very popular saying "Dont judge book by its cover", same applies to Riverwalk Tandoor as from outside it may not appeal as few other fency restaurant but who cares when the food is so delicious. Riverwalk Tandoor easily outclass all other Indian restaurant i have ever been to in Brisbane(40 plus restaurants). I recommend this restaurant for many reasons, some of them listed below:
1. Unlike most restaurants who claim "Authentic Indian Restaurant", but this one proves it.
2. Unique taste and consistancy in food.
3. Very reasonable price compare to other restraurants. Even lower price than India takeaway shops
3. Very friendly staff and their service.
Indian food is not just about curries and butter chicken, one must try its weekend lunch special "Dosa" - a unique and popular south indian dish.
My personal favourites : Dosa, Gobi manchurian, kadhai paneer.
Strongly recommended.
Great food, super relaxed atmosphere. I love Riverwalk Tandoori. The atmosphere is relaxed and I've always had good service and been happy with my meal. Meat samosa, chicken chennai, chicken cettinadu, goat curry, karaikudi lamb, and lamb madras are some of my favorites. For those nights when you just want to relax and eat some comforting food, I definitely recommend here. It's one of my favorites in Brisbane- cheap, no frills, delicious. Best Indian food I've had in a long time.
A bit hit-and-miss but when it's good, it's REALLY good! Authentic Indian at its best. Don't let the depressing decor fool you, this is worth a visit for sure!
What a lovely experience! Warm and friendly service, AMAZING food. Can't wait to go back! The naans and the roti were delicious.
Great value!. 2 girls paid $22 each, we shared: butter chicken, goat curry (delicious!), single serve plain rice and a whole naan each. So full after and we hadn't finished the rice or all the curry sauce. Service was ok :)
Definitely better than a Miss India and worth the extra couple of dollars.
Serve average, food amazing. Wow what a turn around. When I arrive the head waiter fumbled about and was a bit half-assed, nice bloke though. But when the food arrive we instantly knew we were on a winner. The Spicey Goat Curry was superb. Paneer and Chicken/rice dish (can't remember their names) were SO tasty and cooked beautifully. I wee bit greasy so don't eat it every night!! I won't both with other Indian in my area from now on - this is my boy!!!!
Robust flavours and big portions ! The best briyani Ive had so far!! Daging alakandar was very tasty and aromatic n the meat was very tender!
Best dosais in Brisbane. Run by a genuine Penang mamak cook. Great dosais. Flips a decent roti canai too. Pity you can only have them for weekend lunch. But they do offer Malaysian dishes as specials on certain nights.
Best in Brisbane. The guys here know what they're doing. Try the Mango Chicken, it's awesome when you eat it, and if you're lucky to take it home and leave it in the fridge overnight it becomes trancendental the following day. I just did a follow up now and I'm enlightened.
I don't go anywhere else for curries in Brisbane anymore. I've done it a few times since trying Riverwalk the 1st time and get consistently disappointed with the other establishments.
Super like!!! The chicken chittinadu was sensational. After one mouth full, u just want to eat more, it's a good combination with roti or rice. Can't not mention the mango lassi. One word...Yumm!!! This restaurant is highly recommend. I will definitely go again for sure. Super delicious!
Delicious. The restaurant setting is simple, yet the food is absolutely divine. Everything we have had here has been perfectly cooked and delicious to the taste, with the food quality consistent. The service is attentive and quick. This is by far, the best indian food we have had in Brisbane.
From the outside it may not seem enticing, but if you are willing to give it a go, you will not be disappointed.
Great biriyani!. Enjoyed a very good Malaysian Hyderabadi Biriyani which came with complimentary raita. The portion was generous. There was a $ for a tiny serving of chutney and the butter chicken, although plenty, was too sweet for my taste. Service was with a smile - overall 7/10.
Best indian food in brisbane. A delightful unassuming BYO restaurant in Highgate Hill.
The Saag Paneer is fantastic, but other dishes are superb too. Prepared to perfection.
This was a surprise find. I was also surprised by the quality of the food served from the hotbox, especially since some of the google comments reflected bad experience. Tried the $15 all you can eat which came with three curries and rice. The curries were a little different from the other Indian places I went to, signature resembling North Indian cuisine. I would go again.
The Anise Club brings the perfect balance between low cost and delicious food. The $13 buffet represents great value for money, with a supply of unlimited naans (albeit thin) goes a really long way. I would recommend getting in before 5pm if possible, as it is generally quite busy, filled with young adults and locals after 5pm. The food could be of higher quality, but corners need to be cut to provide good food at good prices.
The food here is absolutely amazing. Really amazing food. $15 for an all you can eat buffet of a fantastic selection of authentic Indian dishes incomparable to any other Indian restaurant anywhere.
Great service. Great atmosphere provided by really lovely staff. The other point is that it's quick. You can be eating the most amazing food around within minutes of entering the premises. Both the quality of food, and value for money is 20 out of 5 stars.
Very nice food , amazing customer service, affordable prices. Thanks for the 11.99 buffet dinner last night.
