You have no excuse to miss this restaurant!!!!!! It has been one of my favourite restaurants in all kinds of cuisines! I forget to take the rice with lamb picture, cause it is just so delicious that I forgot everything!!!! Servicing is quite big, but you definitely can eat more than usual in this place :)))) yogurt is not recommended, I would say the one I bought by myself in Woolworths is better (either the taste or the price)

Extremely tasty food. Nice and cosy place with friendly stuffs. Hard to find a halal chienese shop making kabab and grills who can be their competitor. Recommend for everyone and specially muslims.

Amazing food. The Da Pan Ji is a feast of spice, and hand made noodles. Very authentic food you can not find easlily in Brisbane. Very very good value for money too.

Oh their handmade noodles are delicious! I had it with a stew type thing with chicken ( seemed to be the most popular dish as 80% of the customers were eating it, so I thought " they cant be all wrong! ) I loved it. Will be back.

This place is just one of those “typical asian style” type of dining with a (turkish?) twist. Ideal for sharing with your friends.
We ordered two different servings of the $30 priced noodles; Spicy sautéed chicken noodle and the mixed meat noodle. The noodles are handmade which gives it slight chewiness to it. And the servings are very generous.
Also don’t forget to order the shish stick, i tried three types which were; lamb shish stick, lamb belly shish stick and chicken shish stick. Now for the “lamb belly” it’s actually the intestine if i’m not mistaken, if you like the texture of it then feel free to get it. *Caution: extreme chewing needed*
But other than that the lamb shish stick and chicken shish stick are a must.
The dumplings are good too.

Love this place. Most authentic shish kebabs you’ll get outside of Turkey. Also had the braised lamb noodle dish which was delicious. Wait staff can be a bit short with you at times, and it is a bit of a salt explosion if you stuff yourself but I’ll definitely be back.

After being introduced to this restaurant by a friend of mine, it has now become a go-to for me and my friends. Everyone I have taken to this place has agreed that the food is delicious and that the environment is pleasant and we have always enjoyed our night after coming here. The favourite is the Big Plate Chicken (da pan ji) and a large bowl will easily feed 5 of us. Service can be hit and miss, sometimes the food is just in time, other times we have to wait a while, but it's always worth the wait. The food is worth 5 stars, but I've taken a star off for delayed service time.

As a kind of oddity in Sunnybank, Afanti is a restaurant that serves Uyghur cuisine. As some of you may know, the Uyghur people have a significant population in the (relatively new) autonomous region of China known as Xinjiang.

The topic of political freedom and cultural discrimination is not really something we discuss on Zomato so I won't go into it too far, suffice to say that Uyghur people I know are lovely people and I am sometimes ashamed of the things that my fellow Han Chinese do to the citizens of their own country.

The night I went here I had a wonderful variety of dishes. I think that the cuisine of Xinjiang is like Middle Eastern cuisine plus noodles and sauce.

Each dish was homely and comforting, I would say more home style food than restaurant fare.

We had lamb parcels, little noodle bits stir fried in their 'special sauce's, Grand Plate Chicken, beef noodle soup. I think most (if not all) of the noodles were handmade.

My Uyghur friends say it is not the most authentic rendition of the dishes but considering how far away from home they are, it'll do. Technically speaking, each dish had things they could improve... But as an introduction to Xinjiang cuisine I was quite pleased to have had it.

Servicewise, they were woefully understaffed. One girl serving the meals to approximately 50 people and working the cashier's desk, and three people in the kitchen. Some customers were understanding of this.... Most were not.

Verdict: if you had ever been curious about the food of North Western China this is an excellent place to start. Value for money is pretty good and it's also one of the few Sunnybank restaurants that feature lamb on its menu.

The Food here is of the Turkic Uyghur people from the Far Western Shinjiang province of China .  A great place if you are looking for something different. An interesting blend between turkic cuisine and han chinese cuisine E.G Homemade Belt Noodles which traditional middle eastern spices and grilled lamb skewers. Food can be a little oily and most cooked vegetables, so if you are after more fresh ingredient e.i Vietnamese food, Turkish this does not that sort of place, other than that, the food is great. Great place to go if you are looking to try foods from different parts of China.

We tried their bbq and noodle dishes, oh boy they didn’t disappoint us! Portion is HUGE and soooo flavourful. Definitely give this place a go, they also have standard chinese food if you can’t handle spices.

The best halal Chinese fusion food you will ever find! I think Uyghur people have had turkish influence in their culture which is so apparent in their food. I always get their chopped noodle soup from here. It's a chef special and a HUGE serving. May not look that great but the flavours are amazing. My partner gets their grilled range and loves it. So fresh and filling. Will always be a return customer. Love the pickled sides it comes with.

Amazing foods with excellent flavours! Our favourite orders would be the Mixed Grill noodles, salt n pepper tofu, lamb shish and the minced lamb shish. Great portion size for the price and perfect for sharing with your family/friends.

We have been visiting Afanti Uyughur Restaurant for a few years. The food has aways been good, and customer service has definitely improved overtime as well. The cumin lamb and fried bread is a favourite of ours that we indulge in sometimes It is definitely moreish. The flat noodle and lamb dishes are full of flavour too. For a great food experience, visit Afanti with friends so you can share and try a range of dishes from the menu.

The review on Google was so confused. Took me a while to decide give it a try. Love it, the meal are large at reasonable price. Waitress was nice and always check if we are OK. Lunch wasn't busy at there. Could be good time to go. Yet, a lot of fly came in after the door open and close after busier. The dishes and table was at fair condition. The waitress apologized about the flies and told us the owner is renovating a new store in Sunnybank Market Square building. Could be nicer there in few weeks time. Will try. Will go back again.
