Been going here for a few years, tonight was the last time. Have seen this once-great-restaurant slip down hill over the last 2.5yrs and tonight was the last chance.
Tonight, 2 steak meals were cold and tough. The minute-steak was simply not edible. A grown man struggled to cut through it with the supplied steak knife. The 200gm rump was 100gm gristle. The salads looked to have been on at least 2 other plates prior. I have seen fresher tomatoes left on park benches.
The roast pork meal with crackling had a 2cm square piece of crackling (bloody un-Australian) and pork that was either over cooked or boiled for 3 days. Either way, a chainsaw was required but unavailable.
The other roast meal with “extra veges” had the luxury of 1 extra piece of pumpkin and a few beans thrown in.
The staff are nice, however not a team. There’s no cohesion between them at all.
$100+ Spent for disappointment. That said, it did give us all something to talk about as the atmosphere was similar to a closed block of toilets.

Pretty good. Daughter had the Wagyu Burger which she said was excellent. Wife had the Lasagne which was disappointing, mostly sauce and pastry sheets. I had the Rib Fillet, it was slightly over cooked, but super tasty and very tender. And the chips were pure magic! Great friendly service.

Do not play the pokies! Do not go here in peak times as quality of food and wait times is reduced dramatically. Do not go for dinner on trivia night because there is generally no seating available to eat, besides in the pokie room right next to the refreshments station. Food is quite nice and time from order to ready was quick. Zac was helpful and an obvious professional bartender. So glad this pub has the heaters turned on outside this winter. Not a huge fan of the attitudes (immature/rude) and performance of some of staff. The crowd is generally a older crowd and this pub is not very vibrant. If your looking for a good vibe or live entertainment, this is not the place. It has good potential to become a high performing pub. Very large amount of parking for patrons and large amount of seating indoors and outdoor.

Run down hotel with a bistro best described as a diamond in the rough. Food was great. Hotel room shall we say very original to the 1970s and showing a lot of wear and tear. The phone system is dodgy so don't call to book just show up.

Fantastic service, food was fabulous, the special extra attention for my birthday with balloons at our table were a treat 🥰🎈🎈🎈

As far as suburban pubs go......this one hits the spot nicely. Good food, good range of drinks, reasonable pricing in respect to size servings.
