The food here is SO GOOD. Honey chicken to die for! And inexpensive. Can't believe I've lived in the neighbourhood 10 years before trying this place out. (Actually, I can, the aged decor was a turn off - how wrong I was to judge based on appearances) It's now one of my regular go-to takeaways.
From memory the upstairs section of the restaurant featured heavily in the Fitzgerald inquiry. Lots of corrupt police and politicians met here for lunch in the 1970’s. plenty of brown power bags with cash changing hands over Peking duck and spring rolls and long necks of xxxx bitter. This sweet family-owned restaurant is one of the best chinese takeaway I've found in a while. Since coming here, I've never had an inkling of an issue. It's always been amazing food and service at an amazing price. Quality tucker for sure. My go-to is the Sweet 'n Sour Pork w/ fried rice dinner spec

The place is really run down. No lights in the toilets might be just temporary but the whole place looks like nothing has been maintained for about 20 years. The food seemed fresh and was on par with average Chinese take away shops. The service was friendly and pleasant. Would probably eat their foo
I am a regular here for takeaway and I'm fussy. The servings are a good size and the quality of food is on the better side. Ashgrove is a prosperous suburb and we tend to attract quality. Having said that, it's not a restaurant you'd take a date to dine-in in; but you can't beat their take-away.
