very sorry to see this little urban pizza place close - been coming for years and although I was sorry to see the reward system change I even sadder to see it close!
Food came out quickly. Everything was delicious! The ribs were saucy and tender. We also had the pizza and pasta. Dining area is a bit cramped though. Service was great. Went when they first opened for lunch so we were the only people at the restaurant.
For a party of 4, Service was fast, friendly and consistent for an all-you-can-eat ordering menu. Warning on the menu states meals can take up to 15mins but they were on fire that night and we always had food. As soon as we walked in they took our order and within 2 minutes we had some Pork Ribs at the front of us. And the food came out steadily in perfect timing for us to start a new plate. Food was cooked fresh and came out hot. Everything was cooked to perfection and tasted delicious! Table was tad small for the 4 of us and would not have fit half the food at once even if it would’ve come out together, but the food and the service made you forget about that. Great customer service from the moment you walk in with them constantly asking if we were waiting on anything or needed to order more. Pork ribs were my favorite.
I would give a 5 just because of the onion rings, the best I have ever had. And the ribs were beyond delicious. So rich in sauce and flavor, the wings were mind blowing and addictive. A 38 special and it was enough for 3 people. They got me hooked and I'll have to go back another time. Yum!
Would only go here if I was REALLY HUNGRY if I were to get all you can eat again. Good price for bulk ribs, pasta and pizza. Need to make sure you're hungry enough to get your money's worth though. Lovely waiters, very accommodating and happy to explain anything on the menu.
Had a great dinner here tonight - 2 of us had the all you can eat dine in option. We've been here multiple times over the years and I'll admit it had started to go downhill drastically with each visit - to the point where I was doubting whether to go back tonight.
I'm so happy to say though that tonight it was a total turn around! We were seated outside which was lovely, under a heater and not as noisy as inside can be. As soon as we were seated the waitress asked if we would like to order anything to start. First order was pork ribs & a Greek salad. The salad came out a lot faster than the ribs (understandably) but when the salad was brought out the waitress asked if we would like to order more ribs then so they would come out sooner after finishing the first lot we ordered. We were asked multiple times if we wanted to order anything (as were the tables next to us) and after the initial delay for ribs, service of food was quite quick! You are given 90 minutes to dine and we were well and truly done after 60 minutes.
They've updated the venue since I was last there as well and there are some nice touches to modernise.
All in all - great new changes, great new service style and same awesome food as always. Win for sure, we'll continue to be customers.
Super delicious ribs, the BBQ sauce is amazing. Food was served on time by friendly staff. Quite affordable too, considering the quality of food. Top marks!
All you can eat ribs, pasta, pizza, wings and chips. The ribs were tasty, quite saucy and tender. Pasta was also tasty and flavourful, however leaning towards the salty side. Too full to even touch the poutine chips and pizza, looks good though.
We have been to this place a couple times but we always get great food and service. We love this place and we go back there every time coz we know we get great stuff!
Dined for all you can eat with some mates. We tried several pizzas, wings, ribs, onion rings and salads. Everything was very tasty. The ribs have a moreish sauce. The hellfire wings were a big hit, and i really enjoyed the hellfire pizza too. beware the widowmaker though, as a season chili lover it was TOO hot for me even. I recommend getting in early as everything is made to order and they get busy.
For years we have ordered takeaway here and have not been disappointed :) Their pasta packs and ribs, plus New York Fries are amazing. However, prices have increased quite a bit, which is a bit sad. You get some free frog lollies when you order, how nice.

What a find! Amazing ribs that fall off the bone, really good sides (love the poutine), the Greek salad was super fresh with nommy feta chunks. Good service and the food kept on coming out quickly. Love this place!
A great job on the ribs! Sides were all very very tasty! Very tender ribs, I love the cheese sauce on the fries and the carbonara was super creamy and delicious. Thankyou so much for the birthday milkshake:)
The all you can eat deal is truly a holy experience, great ribs and decent snacks, Great value and a great way to test the lads. Not for amateurs.
It seems quite dear, however $39.95 for an all you can eat session lasting 90 minutes is worth it for the ribs alone. The ribs are packed full of flavour and melt in your mouth. If you buy ribs anywhere else, they're $30+ on their own. Add some sides, some pizza and you've definitely gotten your moneys worth.
The ribs here are probably the best in Brisbane and the staff were nice enough. The other options on the menu such as New York fries, pizzas and pastas were also amazing. All in all, 10 out of 10 would definitely go again.
Ordered takeaway from Ribbetts without much expectation. Could not be more surprised! Had been there a couple of years previously and found it average but this time was a very pleasant experience. It was a busy night but the food was served quickly. I am not usually a rib fan but their ribs are delicious and came off the bone with ease. Would definitely recommend and willing to go back.
FANTASTIC! If you love big saucy ribs than this is your place! Crispy flavourful New York and jalapeño fries as well as some healthy salads to pair with the fatty ribs. Not a fan of the beef ribs but the pork ones were really good. The pizzas were average. Bring a large group so you can try more things!
Yummy! We went early so had fast service - the food was plentiful and delicious. Ribs were terrific. Had all you can eat and it was value for money. Lacked ambience but was there to eat.
Decent. Tables were cramped and just weren't comfortable. Waiters forgot our orders multiple times and we had to reorder. But... the food was yum :)
I got obsessed with going to Ribbetts one day when Mr W., mentioned it was one of the best places he had been to for a buffet in Brisbane and that we should go there together one day. So I did what any earnest food loving girl would do I went, without him, with my work friends.
Excluding the rules Ribbetts is a great place to eat.
It's all you can eat but is served dish to dish not a buffet style.
THE NOT SO GOOD
The only complaint I would have is the premises and exit looks quite aged, smallish booths and that the customer service is often lacking(Can be hard to locate staff at times for your next round) but I find this to be the best Rib place I have ever been too.
The other is that if one of you are having all you can eat everyone else at the table has to pay as well. With a wife and kids hat don't eat as much as me they are definitely making money there.
The ribs are in great portions, delicious and the meat falls off the bone, the pizza is beautiful and the pasta is great as well(haven't had much pasta).
I have been coming here since 2001 and will continue to do so. I would rate it four out of five stars.
Had a great dinner on Saturday night. We reserved a table for 6pm and got sat outside right under the heaters so we were very comfortable. Loved the service. There was always a waitress around to check on us an help us making the $37 all you can eat very good value for money. Friendly and fast, I would recommend Ribbetts to my family and friends for a fun night out.
Good concept, good food, alright service. Inside could use a Reno thouh
Not so fine, but pretty good!. So i'm not so sure this really qualifies as "fine dining" - but hey, the ribs are good! This is something that is a real guilty pleasure for me! I did the 'all you can eat' once, but this is really un necessary as the servings for take-away are generous. If you love ribs and you are on the southside, this is not a bad option.
Dined here last night our best friends. Its been 3 years since i've been back here. Food has improved alot. Chicken & mushroom pasta was sooo creamy & delicious, how can we forget the ribs. Sooo yummy & the meat just falls off the bone also smothered with their bbq sauce. Service was always with a smile. Be back again RIBBETS!!
Ribs are so flavoursome and meaty. Love the variety of food. Service is good and very friendly staff. Gets a bit crowded and noisy, but food is definitely worth it.
Cheap and cheerful. Was a little hesitant before going & left pleasantly surprised. Expectations may dictate enjoyment levels. Mine were low. The ribs were tender and meaty and the sauce on the super sweet side which has it's place in my "every now and again" feed. The service was only cheerful when we were leaving. But hey, 35 bucks NO corkage and lots Of ribs. Who cares. Thumbs up.
I had many reservations about Ribbits after reading the comments from other reviewers but I think they managed my expectations well and we ended up having a great night. We booked a group of 8 and there were no complaints. The food kept flowing, the ribs were delicious. We usually dine as a group at slightly more classy joints but thought all you can eat ribs sounded yum and we all had a fun time and enjoyed ourselves. And we are all very very full. Thought $35 was pretty good value. And really you will be full long before 90 mins is up - trust me .
When you have a huge appetite and want to just devour and destroy food like Godzilla go to Ribbetts. The Pork Ribs are my favourite. Big, saucy, tender and sticky just the way they should be and very satisfying to eat. The BBQ sauce is delicious. Keep in mind It's not a fancy restaurant. This is a place that makes food to just attack and enjoy with a group of friends who dont care if they get covered in sauce and are just looking for something filling and warming. can't wait for another serving of Ribs soon !
Food is good. However, the price has gone up so much over the years and it's too cramped and eating with a toddler can be difficult. I would really like to see this place expand a bit or at least open up a more family friendly restaurant.
Bit overpriced and its a very noisy and crowded restaurant however the quality of the ribs and the flavour by far outweighs the negatives! Definitely a top place for a night out with mates!
There are alot of rules to follow when visiting ribbets. A, 90 min time limit, no wastage or your charged for it at the price listed on the takeaway menu, one bill per table, no more than 6 people to a group or you won't fit at one table etc etc.Ribs were meaty and the sauce tasty and the pizzas crisp and full of flavour. Overall a strange place to visit but the food was good, just not worth the long drive for us. $10 cheaper and it would be a winner.
HIT & MISS!!. I've been going to this restaurant for years time to time....it has been around for years, I remembered back in 2005 the first time i went it was only $18 dollars a person. the price has quickly gone up since then. overall the service there has always been good to me, the food however is a hit and miss...ive had good times and bad times... i do admit i love there ribs..and i do crave it time to time... its greasy food that bad for you but sure it tasty!!
Big slims review. Me and my partner went there for the first time one night, I took along 4 burbourns. And it was a very enjoy full hour, we slowly paced ourselves with a feed of ribs they were quite nice. Then we thought to try some of the pizzas, theY had a rule they that you have to pay for what you dont eat, so we had about 4 different pizza favors in little saucer size pizza with 2 little pizza each, they were nice. Pasta we won't that rapt in I would of liked outside to Be a bit better then stainless steal seats and table. I didn't sit on the sit my belly couldn't get in there, but i stood up like I was at the pub. Yes it is a old restaurant but 35 bucks all you can eat , I reckon it is just as good as any. The ribs sauce you could purchase over the counter was good, but we enjoyed ourselves. And it was pretty busy. Those who knock it you are just stuck up. We would go back which we did. Love there byo its a licenced premises. And they freshly cooked as we ordered.
Good value for all you can eat, will not appeal to people wanting fine dining. Food is simple but yum, only go if your really hungry. Service could be better
It's fine. No accounting for some tastes. It's one of the few places that makes real pizzas with real ingredients. If you want to eat there with a pram and have a leisurely dinner, don't go there. If you want a good, honest pizza at a reasonable price do go there. If you're a starving student, one feed at the all you can eat will keep you going for a couple of days...
If you are looking for quantity, head to this place. All you can eat ribs, pasta, pizza for under 30 bucks. Ribs and pizza are quite reasonable but the pasta is fairly generic. Don't expect too much but it's decent value if u wanna get absolutely stuffed
By far the best party pizza! Try a 1m squared pizza on for size!!
Delicious food. Ribs to die for... No really they will kill you because you will eat too much. Reasonably fast service. Must book in advance.
