Nice simple place. Ordered hot duck wrap and fresh Prawn sandwich. Enjoyed both. The sandwich is quite simple really but lives up to its fresh name. Unfortunately I did also get the breadtie on my sandwich. Because it wasn't quite cut through on the crust, when I picked it up some of it fell apart.
It can get windy but the seating on the side is nice, quiet and sheltered. Straight forward service with a smile. High chairs available.
Holy duck! Came here on a Tuesday arvo, had the iced coffees and a duck wrap and a char siu bahn mi!
The duck wrap was amazing, nicely balanced with the sauces and vegetables and meat! I really liked it, and best of all the wrap was like a naan!
The char siu bahn mi was nice as well!!! The bahn mi was crispy outside and soft and fluffy! Really nicely done with the plentiful carrots!
I will definitely be back again to get more takeaways!
Really like this quiet place, do go and visit!
Sensiika promises Vietnamese street food and seems to be particularly proud of their duck wraps and banh mi pork rolls. However, the food also has a strong French influence thanks to Vietnam's French colonial past. Today I ordered a prawn sandwich which included generously sized prawns, crunchy iceberg lettuce and a spicy seafood sauce. It was delicious.
The last time I ate her I ordered the smoked salmon and cream cheese baguette. The bread was just like a roll that would be served in a French cafe. The salmon and cream cheese were both generous and it also came with delicious capers. Spinach added freshness creating a really delicious roll. I'll be back!
The food is amazing, everyone is very friendly. Best value for money. Highly recommend! Five stars. The Bahn Ni rolls are fresh and amazing!
Came here for brunch and was fairly pleased with everything. Good service and the food was pleasant, however, it would have been nice to get the beans which were meant to have been included with the lamb chops breakfast. I completely forgot and it was only later when looking at what we had that I realised that I had been sold short of the complete experience. Apart from that, nothing really to complain about. Nothing spectacular, but nothing too bad to say either. 7 out of 10.
The original cafe along Bennetts Road at Norman Park has been serving up great food and coffee for the past seven years.
A local in the area we frequent Sensiika Cafe and has become a mainstay for the locals. Always pleasant and the food is always fresh and tasty.
The espresso is Sega Freddo Zanetti and is served well made and promptly. Everywhere else we go we have to wait for upto 10 - 15 minutes just to get our coffee.
I'm not sure of Brisbane's fixation with local coffee blends but this Italian espresso is always strong and consistent.
My favourite cafe in Norman Park by a long shot. If you know your coffee and like a strong Italian espresso then Sensiika serves up a great Segafredo Zanetti. And the food is always fresh and delightful. It's been a mainstay in the area for the past six years and we've always enjoyed our food and our outing. It's really becoming an institution amongst the locals in the Norman Park area.
Open for Breakfast and Lunch, I only hope they're thinking about opening at night. My family and I would certainly be lining up for a hot duck wrap or banh mi for an easy eat out.
The Best Breakfast. We had the best breakfast and next time in Brisbane will be going back for the famous duck wrap
Got lost and found this amazing Vietnamese day spa cafe. Amazing food
I keep coming back... cause it's very good.. Sensiika cafe doesn't pretend to be anything other than what it is. You can sit down and eat a fantastic breakfast or lunch, or you can swing past and grab some takeaway with a coffee if you're in a hurry. This place is not at all pretentious, the staff are down-to-earth, the owners are always friendly and the food is wholesome, well-priced, and delicious. It's so good to find a cafe that is doing something different, and not just serving up the same food you see everywhere. I love eating out... in fact I eat out at a lot of places around town, but when I don't want to be disappointed, and when I want to just enjoy my breakfast, the surroundings and my guests, I always keep coming back to Sensiika.
Sensiika Day Spa & Cafe - Camp Hill, Brisbane. Tucked away on a suburban street, Sensiika is mostly used as a spa. In the sense of the word "hidden", to use the term "hidden gem" here would be appropriate. Getting a park is easy; when my dining buddy and I went here the parking spot was basically out the front of the place. With most of the space being dedicated to being a spa (I did not go into the spa place, therefore I am assuming), both the kitchen and dining area are considerably small. They make great use of the space regardless.
While the front will give the impression of a hole-in-the-wall takeaway (it is where you pay for your meal afterwards), deviating the right will show a relaxing courtyard complete with a running water fountain and Buddha statues. There is not a lot of tables, thus getting there early might be the best with the growing reception it is receiving. It helps keep the vibe of the spa's mentality and gives reminders of a Buddhist temple.
There are a couple of ranges of breakfast items on the menu; you will find the normal items you come to expect for breakfast but there are several Thai-inspired items. Being as it is such, I went with the iced coffee to drink with breakfast (I placed an order for another one near the end of the meal, it was that good and this time was not sweet; I kind of preferred this as it had the necessary coffee flavour but it was suited to the hot weather) and had the chilli & prawn omelet.
The ingredients are fresh and the meals come out well-presented on a plate. My omelet was very big, and had a good handful of prawns in it - big ones, and not shrimp. It came with a giant serving of steamed rice and a small tub of very hot chili. This time around, I actually made the distinction to taste the chili first before applying it - good idea. It was a sensational meal, with fresh juicy prawns and an egg batter which consists of THREE well-beaten eggs. As for the portion, it was substantial and filled me up for nearly the rest of the day. I also got to try a bit of savoury mince - my dining buddy's order - and that was also good, especially the thickly sliced toasted bread.
At the end, my dining buddy felt like having a bit of a sweet ergo he ordered come carrot cake and another cup of coffee. He mixed it up a bit and got a cappuccino whereas I had the reorder of the Thai iced coffee. From the sip I had, the espresso-based coffee is also pretty good here. The carrot cake was really moist and had a thick layer of cream cheese on the top.
Service is very polite and the kitchen utilises the space really well; no microwaves were in sight. It does customer service really well and ought to be tried and sought out. You would never know, or be far less likely to deduce it, about this place without prior knowledge. It is one of those ones where word of mouth is perhaps the best way for it to get better recognition. Great breakfasts and great ambiance are enough for it to be recommended.
Fantastic. One word "Sensational"!!! Our favourite place for breakfast and lunch. Nice coffee, great service and absolutely delicious food. Definitely try their duck wrap and bahn mi bbq pork baguette....yummm!
Great little find! Lovely service and generous servings of good food. The prawn chilli omlette is fantastic!
Unfortunately, after devouring our vietnamese crispy duck salad and Thai beef salad I realised that there was no space for dessert, but from the looks of what some of the other tables around me were ordering, I'm going to come back just for dessert and coffee sometime.
Have been driving past this cafe for the past couple of years and today i finally Stopped in. Had the Fresh prawn baguette. Oh Lordie how good was that! Big fresh prawns, crunchy baguette and a spicy chilli mayo. Yum!
Washed it all down with a very satisfying banana smoothie.
Will definitely not be driving past this little gem again.
Weekend breakfast at Sensiika rocks!. Love this little lush garden deck setting. The food is always fresh and enjoyable. If you like strong coffee then you will like the coffee here.
The service can be a little lack luster sometimes, but I think that's mostly because they are so busy.
Will definitely be back.
The breakfast here is fantastic. Nice coffee. Please fix the aircon & speed up on the food delivery.
Lovely garden area. Good simple menu, great prices and very friendly staff! Put this on your list to try!
Perfect place for breakfast. Wonderful staff, food & service!
Love their warm/hot duck wraps and banana smoothies. Coffee is decent. Always friendly service.Well done. The cafe's toilet is located inside the day spa to the left. Small tiny basin's a pain, but the place is great.
Whilst on my travels to Brisbane, Australia, I enjoyed a massage at Sensiika Day Spa Cafe. I was so indulged myself during the entire session. Honestly, I have tried many Spa and there's always a couple of drawbacks that you would complain about. Like receptionist is not friendly at all, therapists are so unprofessional( like using mobile while massaging me!!!!) or the environment is not clean. And here, it's just FANTASTIC. I also tip well that day to the therapist who served me. I will be back shortly for sure for different massage. Well recommended!!!!
I was treated to a massage for my Birthday, and have just come from the spa feeling absolutely fantastic! The therapist was only tiny but she was so strong and my aching muscles have been totally relieved and my body feels great. I'm so impressed I bought gift vouchers for the whole family. Thanks and you'll be seeing me again soon.
Just wanted to let you know, that you do what you do so well, hands down the best massage experience i have ever had. We chilled with some fresh juices before our Deluxe package, which I have to tell was just the best indulgence someone can treat themselves to. Then after our three hours of bliss we ate lunch in your cafe. What a way to finish, I would just come again for the lunch... I'm so impressed. Thank you.
I had a great deep tissue massage today at Sensiika Day Spa. I took my wife along also and she said it was the best massage she has had outside of Asia. Cafe is great spot to have a Tea or Coffee after your treatment.
This is literaly one of the best experiences I had so far in an establishment like this.
I would totally recommend this for someone, we had a deep massage and it was literaly the best one I have ever had.
It was recommended by a friend so I thought to give it a try. Some of the best personel in the company, keep on doing an amazing work and who knows I might find myself there again like tomorrow :)
Those 90 minutes passed so fast so I will totally need to redo it.
