This sushi train is definitely on the better side of sushi trains in the city.
This place is quiet and much better in quality compared to sushi edo. Decent variety.
My friends and I had dinner at Ichiban Sushi (inside the Fairfield Gardens shopping centre) and enjoyed the different options we don’t get at our regular sushi stop. We ordered salmon Aburi, wagyu nigiri, tempura prawn and more through the iPad on our table. The orders came out a few minutes later and were fresh and tasty. The plates were well priced and the atmosphere relaxed.
New sushi train restaurant, has a great feel and inviting. Staff are friendly and attend to you quickly. Shop is nice and clean and still new.
There are booths and your regular high chairs to watch the train. Ordering is simple and easy, used of a tablet with pictures.
We order our normal dishes and they arrive quickly.
Good quality sushi for a decent price sushi plates are $3.80 and other items prices vary between $5.50 to $13.
Nice deco, delightful sushi train and authentic Japanese, different promotion every day of the week ☺️🍤
Sushi is fresh and delicious service is great and ordering is easy. Definitely recommend.
Lovely atmosphere and the wagyu aburi is hands down the best I’ve ever had. It was cooked to perfection.
Excellent range of sushi and very tasty. Nice to sit at the booths for the sushi train. I usually offer off the touch screens as there are way more options.
I am happy to give 10 out of 10. Best sushi I ever had in Brisbane. All fish and chicken are fresh. Well presented make me want to try all menu and their train always full with various menu. Staff is friendly too. This place is clean too. Will become our favourite place to eat sushi. Oh and every wednesday all sushi only $3. Oh my God 😱😱 really great value.
Ichiban sushi is a 4/5 restaurant that has a good and fast service, excellent ambiance but it’s food sometimes lets it down. Although their special rolls and sushi rolls are delicious and well prepared, some other menu items are not prepared to the standard of a restaurant that has so many 5/5 star reviews. For example the Beef Tataki salad, what a disappointing and expensive dish with no flavor, over cooked beef and pathetic greens. A 0/5 for this dish in all its levels. The chicken Yakisoba, unfortunately a 1/5 for me. Although the portion size is acceptable the flavor lacks the punch of a typical yakisoba. The chicken was inexistent and the few pieces that were there were tasteless.
Overall this restaurant could be one of the best sushi restaurants in Brisbane, but for that to happen their food quality and consistency needs to be improved.
