A disappointing experience today.
We were seated in the direct heat and glare of the sun with no offer of shade.
The staff were friendly and the beers delicious however these went warm too quickly in th sun.
We paid $30+ for each of our meals and were disappointed.
The sausage meal ordered was closer to a child's serving size and not sufficient for an adult to eat.
The gravy was completely tasteless and we had doubts it was actually gravy.
The schnitzel was a supermarket size, and for a restaurant well know for it's schnitzels, this is not good enough. Again the gravy or whatever was in the jug was tasteless, and the slaw on the plate inedible as it was more like sludge and not fresh at all.
This place is overpriced for what you get, especially with all the additional fees and surcharges.
What is laughable is when ordering meals via your phone this restaurant auto inserts the tip they expect you to pay, they want a tip for their service and food before providing you their service and food.
I chose to enter an amount of my own and absolutely I entered 0 as I won't tip anyone for a service or meal I have not received.
We definitely will not be back.

We went at a quiet time and it was great. Very beautiful location with almost the entire side facade covered under a huge shady tree. With the dim atmosphere it's a very relaxing place to be ( but I heard it can get very crowded at night ). Very nice typical German food. Very friendly staff and reasonable prices. Will definitely go back again.

Dad and I thoroughly enjoyed our dinner before the Broncos game. The pork belly was awesome! Great service, staff were very welcoming and friendly. Will definitely be back again.

LOVE coming to the Bavarian! Whilst the food is wonderful, it's the service that elevates this restaurant. The servers are friendly and management are fantastic, even under the strain of things going awry. It was just one of those nights out of their control (don't you just love it when the internet goes down!), yet they remained friendly and so accommodating. Will be back!!

We reserved a table but as we were at a movie and we looked like being late, so dent a text.
The restaurant manager replied, sent us a menu and we ordered in advance.
When we arrived we were greeted nicely and our order was confirmed, but no pressure to be served.
We ordered a wine and enjoyed a very nice meal (it hadn't been kept under IR).
The portions were generous and well cooked.
Great service.
Will definitely return and recommend.

Ate here for a pre-origin feed before the game. Food was filling, chicken schnitzel was the pick! Good for people watching from the deck as the crowds descend on Caxton st. Reasonably priced for the size of the meal 👌

Nice and well decorated place to hang out. Unfortunately they made a mistake when taking the order, it can happens of course, but when we said it the girl didn't apologize, she just changed it.
The attention and the food in general were regular, the drinks were better.

Went before the footy last night. I had Crispy Pork Belly and my wife had the Chicken Schnitzel. Food servings were huge and beautifully cooked. Service was very prompt and staff were friendly.
My only feedback is when you order on the QR code, it charges a 4.5% card fee and also a card processing fee. That is way above industry norms. The app then asks if you would like to tip the staff. If you lower your fees, we might be more inclined to tip.

Everytime I come there are no staffs welcoming me. No one is giving me menu. The food are super expensive but I guess people go there for the drinks which is okay. They have good range of beers.

We were given free hotdogs during their new grand opening event which are okay but I wouldn’t pay more that $20 for a hotdog.

Great service, delicious food and beer. What’s not to love?

2 hours free parking at The Barracks makes it easily accessible. The service from Misha was very friendly and accommodating and our food arrived very quickly. The haus made pretzels were delicious as were the mozzarella balls. Melt in your mouth pork knuckle with crackling to die for! My son’s chicken parmigiana was enormous!! Desserts were also delicious - apple strudel, waffles or house made gelato. A thoroughly enjoyable lunch - we will definitely be back!

2.5/5
So here’s the deal - come for happy hour: it’s 4-6 daily, $5 drinks & freebie bar snacks (popcorn chicken is the superior choice). Then when the big beers get dear, move on for a meal elsewhere - there’s nothing flash going on here foodwise.

Our merry band of misfits was underwhelmed after sharing chicken wings, pork bao buns & a bland, doughy giant pretzel. Saw an epic looking pork knuckle going past & were keen to order one til we heard staff saying that the customer had been waiting more than an hour for it....& the place was reeeally quiet at the time. Inspo: zero.

Lures like 2-for-1 schnitties throughout the week might tempt us sometime but til then...prost!

Very ordinary pub food that was quite expensive. A 10%surcharge on Sunday and I bet the staff don’t get penalty rates. You order at the bar and then the food is delivered to your table. A very noisy restaurant with loud music and traffic noise from the street. Shame on you Neil Perry!

FOODIE ADVENTURE
We visited Father's Day lunch and honestly wish we didn't. Received little to no service as soon as we sat down. Was provided with no water to start and no pretzels for the father as indicated in the booking. Sat for about 10 mins, went up to ask what was happening and if we could at least get the kids menu and kids pack. Nothing! Had to ask again. Finally when someone arrived no apology and just took our order. Asked for the kids pack so the kids could at least be entertained. After ordering, again nothing arrived. Had to get someone and told them that we are pretty disappointed with the service and that it's not to late to rectify as it's Father's day. She was lovely and understanding and instantly our drinks arrived, kids pack etc. Food arrived childish however. I've been to a few Bavarian restaurants now and to be honest this one was the service experience ever. Just to pay our bill, l waited another 10-15 mins and as l waited, l saw a lot of people angry, sad and disappointed. Lots of people just waiting and l also saw a lot of food on the pass waiting to be collected as well. The manager apologised but still damage done and he also said that he would email the father's day voucher...still nothing. Extremely disappointed.

Dined in during the “Kids eat for free” hours with my wife and my 12 yrs. old son. When I paid I asked the man behind the counter specifically if my son gets to eat for free and he said “yes’, but he charged me for my son’s meal. Only realised in the car, when we checked the receipt (which I have as proof) because the total amount seemed my wife a bit too much for just 2 persons. This has not been an honest mistake, as I had specifically asked.
