Review Eighteen 88 - Brisbane

A cute little cafe directly across from the mater, with a trendy warm interior. First off, the cafe is in a very ‘inconvenient’ location in terms of parking. No close street parking we could see, and parking in the next door’s Center carpark is risky as security’s always on the lookout. Perhaps that’s why most of the customers that came were for takeaway. We arrived around 9am and were one of two people seated, and for some reason, the vibe was just awkward. Could have been how quiet the music was or simply because of the lack of people inside - I felt like I had to whisper. There was very few cabinet options, and everything looked like it had been there a while (wrapped up, one item of something etc.) The staff were friendly, and greeted us upon entry. We ordered two coffees, a berry danish and eggs benedict. Coffees were fairly good and reasonably priced, danish was barely warmed but tasty, and the eggs benedict was just average but a generous portion size! Being the only ones ordering food in the cafe, we still waited 20 mins for the meal... but it didn’t bother us too much as we know it was just 1 person in the kitchen. Overall it’s a nice cafe, but the location and vibe turns us against coming back. Would recommend anyone across the road come for takeaway though! :)

This is a very sweet and cosy Cafe just on the skirts of the CBD with the delicious bean Dramanti and an excellent range of the best milks like Macadamia, Bonsoy and Almond. There food range is simple with all the favorites. Ample parking in the area and awesome an owner who is very friendly.

What a hidden gem! This little cafe has so much character, and a very welcoming and vibrant atmosphere! The staff were very friendly and accommodating - my day couldn’t have gotten any better than coming here. If you’re in the area, you can’t miss out on this place!!

The food was great, never thought I'd like seed sour dough. Both the food and coffee was well presented. Great service with wonderful staff.

Food, avocado on toast was excellent. Well presented, tasty, with roast chickpeas, as it was last time we came. Service good. Recommend.

Toasted croissant that wasn’t smashed in the toaster, and coffee that is AMAZING!

Lovely staff, food good. We were here Friday before Christmas when every where shops were closing and running out of food. Even so they did us a great meal with a few substitutions. Would come again when in Brisbane.

Have not been back over one year so checked out to gat a take-away coffee. Service is consistently passionate. I noticed that the business has employed a waitress to give a hand to the barista. This reflects that the business is growing. In fact, my Drananti flat white was prepared perfectly matching my palate; no wonder this business is the longest trading cafe at this spot👍<br/>Last visit: Apr, 2018 Rating 4/5

This must be the third ownership change at this old Princess Theatre outlet. I have visited them all & they have delivered outstanding brews. This one serves Dramanti coffee & has a great aromatic nutty mouthfeel. I personally needed that double shot which was offered on the side complimentary so a big thumbs up for that a good indicator of a passionate barista so thanks
