Review The Cardamom Pod - Broadbeach

Beautiful! Just great vibes here! Was able to study for a good amount, there's wifi, and outlets to charge laptop. Comfy seats, good music, nice staff, free parking down stairs and all you can eat vegetarian/vegan for $19.90. A vegan student's dream. Thanks guys! Definitely coming backšŸ„°

I love loved this place. You have so many vegetarian options to choose with. Would definitely come back here when in Gold Coast.
Rebecca
Great food and drinks! Pleasantly surprised by the gingerbread hot chocolate. Am not a vegetarian myself but would definitely go back! Outdoor seating has a nicer atmosphere than indoor seating.

What a fabulous cafe - excellent vegan options and the fellow at the ordering area is so incredibly lovely...the vegan brownie is so delicious; I took one home and boy it was delicious. The dishes are so big and my five meat loving friends loved the meals - saying each of them will return. The vegan croissant was very good as I loved the cashew hollandaise sauce and the grilled tomato. My brother loved the gourmet vegetarian toastie - saying it was the best he had ever tasted and he is a meat eater! Great smoothies!!

šŸ“šŸ«CARDAMON PODšŸ„šŸ @cardamompodbrickworks Location: 1/2685-2689 Gold Coast Hwy, Broadbeach QLD 4218 Rating: 4/5āœØ are. you. kidding. šŸ˜±šŸ¤©šŸ¤¤have you seen a prettier aƧai bowl?! i think no, oh my goodness the moment i saw this on instagram i knew i needed to get this at least once in my life because how could you not?šŸ¤©šŸ’– as a aƧai and smoothie bowl lover, i was reeled in immediately to this aƧai bowl, and as a lover of presentation and aesthetics this was a done dealšŸ™‹šŸ»ā€ā™€ļølook at the cute tiny umbrella šŸ„ŗšŸ¤§i took it home by the wayšŸ¤£ āœØšŸ’–original aƧai bowl ($20): as i ordered this i was thinking itā€™s quite pricey even for their presentation but when the bowl arrived which was nearly as big as my face i realised what you are paying foršŸ¤©oh this was a rollercoaster of flavours and textures, sensory overload in a bowl!šŸ«šŸ“šŸ„šŸliterally fruit heaven in a bowl, i have never had this many fruits at the same timešŸ¤£šŸ„³ under all the fruits is a bed of varied nuts and dried fruits, i would say this wasnā€™t my favourite part of the bowl, personally i found there to be too many, i wanted more aƧai mix rather than alot of nuts, i found myself sifting through them to get as much aƧai mixture as i couldšŸ¤§but overall a really stunning and lovely aƧai bowl! in conclusion i do recommend @cardamompodbrickworks such a unique and funky vibe and place! their furniture and decor is super fun and cool!šŸ„°šŸ’–staff here are lovely and they offer a lot of menu items! this bowl took around 20 mins? but it was all worth it after seeing itšŸ¤©

Went for an early lunch with my partner and was pleasantly surprised at the presentation and deliciousness of the food. Highly recommended!

Cute place. Good looks really good and tastes good too! Recommend if you're looking for a cute brunch places to chill out at for a while.

A wonderful atmosphere with delightful staff and food. We went for lunch and the variety of menu items on offer was incredible and what we ordered was full of flavour. The Fiji Sunset smoothie is a real winner! Highly recommend šŸ™ŒšŸ˜šŸ¤©

The best brunch that Iā€™ve ever been to! Easy to get to and the food was the best Iā€™ve ever tried for both vegan food and brunch. The snickers aƧai bowl had a slightly chocolate-y tinge for the aƧai base which was surprising as I anticipated the snickers concept would just have been the vegan snickers cake. You couldnā€™t even tell that the burger dish was vegan. The portions were very generous and filling. The only thing that was not absolutely perfect was that one personā€™s dish came out much earlier than the other and it was a 20min for the next one to come out. Would highly recommend this place.

Reviews for this place are overrated, we travelled extra to go here thinking it looked and sounded amazing but were disappointed upon arrival. There was no menu and there was only a buffet option and everything was overpriced. Salads were all way too sweet and service was so strict on the rules of what you could do. Food was fine not bad but nothing special and not in par with the rating at all. Disappointed :/
Nikki
Absolutely loved this place such a laid back chill vibe, awesome miss match boho decor and delicious food with BYO wine even better!
Had the cheese lasagna easily the highlight and beautiful veg salads. Cherry ripe slice was yum but very rich Was happy to share it, would happily return and certainly recommend to anyone whoā€™d listen
Joy Of Eating Out
Had an excellent dinner there a couple of nights ago with family of 3. Ordered the $36 sharing plate which included 4 bowls, rice and 4 koftas. Delicious vegetarian food and we were stuffed. We had the veg gratin, dahl, eggplant moussaka and stir fried veggies. The stir fried veggies were well cooked and not oily but not as flavoursome as the other dishes. The food could have been hotter as well, but these are minor complaints that did not detract from the overall lovely vegetarian food.

Itā€™s kids friendly, laid back and delicious vegetarian food. Highly recommend.
Emily
The decoration for this place was awesome and presentation of juices were really cool.
Great place to get hearty plant based meals but could also go all out with the aƧai bowls.
The menu is quite expensive for what you get as a buffet style serving so not sure if I would visit again but staff were very friendly.
Good Food Good Mood
I have been wanting to visit Cardamom ever since I saw their visually stunning smoothie bowls on Instagram. How convenient it was on a recent trip to the Gold Coast to be staying mere metres from this amazing place.

I absolutely adored the fit out, so much so I actually wanted to move in. I was tossing up between the mermaid bowl and the snickers and was recommended snickers. It was so impressively presented I couldnā€™t doubt the choice.

The only thing I disliked (owing to the busy rush hour) is that we were sitting on a table of filthy dishes for some 15 minutes until someone walked past and I asked them to remove them. Overall great atmosphere and vegan food so good you wouldnā€™t think twice about giving up meat
The Quiet Critic
This is a lovely little spot. I had the snickers acai bowl. It was quite nice, a little too much acai but it was fine. We also had the Dahl rice, now that was the best part for me. Yummy! Don't get alot for $17 though.
Rachael Gibson
Service, decor and food was lovely! AƧai bowls were beautifully presented, a little bit difficult to eat at times due to skin still on some fruits, got a bit messy. Overall good experience. Will go back!
Mi55Bee
Amazing cafe we never expected to be so good. Their kofta balls, cheese potato and vegies bake are delicious. Paired with rice or moussaka and a salad by the side sums up a perfect lunch
Chantelle Hiley
My husband and I came here for weekend breakfast. We enjoyed our meals which tasted alright. My coffee wasnā€™t great and the prices are quite expensive. Iā€™d like to return to try their raw desserts and ice cream though.
Natural Herbivore
There is a trend that I usually only bother to review fantastic places, The Cardamom Pod is one of those fantastic places! The staff are very helpful, the food is pretty amazing and I got to experience the BEST Vegan Cheesecake that I have ever tried! I love this place.
Auckland Foodie
I had the most amazing looking Snickers Acai Bowl. It was beautifully made and tasted delicious. Slightly overpriced but the quality is good. The salads in the cabinet looked amazing as well.

Went here for late lunch after arriving at GC. We both ordered aƧai bowlllllll. Was good and yum!!! Service was a bit so so, everything needs to be ordered in front by ourselves, but anyway the place was nice where would be just walking distance to the place we are living.!
Sydneyguyrojoe
A few Instagrammers told me to visit here,I like the idea and concept of the place and especially it's Cool funky ambience but food wise I was left unimpressed. There wasn't much flavour to me and even a share plate between two people with 4 choices they give you one persons portion of rice. My missus enjoyed this more than me. I found the service slow and indifferent . It looked like everyone else was asked if they can be served and I was last to be asked and the 2nd time I went to the counter I stood and waited to have other people to be served ahead of me who came in a Moment ago. I stood there for a minute or two with no service but when other people come in suddenly their is service
Mr J
Ok, so I only got to try the salads and by god are they good. I mean for a salad. I will be back this weekend to try out the rest. I was amazed at the vibrant colors in the food and the aroma. Beautiful place. Canā€™t wait for the weekend now. Yeah woo hoo. Iā€™m sold.
Thalia Cottis
Whoever says vegan food doesn't taste good has not been here and needs to visit because the food is incredible. Everything is fresh, tasty and colourful and cant get enough of it!I
Quality! It Shouldnt Be That Hard! Love A Wonderful Mouth Full Of Wholesome FOOD!
I was recommended this place from a friend. And I must say. Omg itā€™s amazing. Iv been coming to broadbeach for years and never saw it. I wish I heard about it earlier.

The food is so tasty I had the vegan lentil pie. So so tasty. I also had a tofu curry it was a Thai style curry it was so amazing! I also got take away pumpkin lasagna and spinach ricotta triangle it was the best!!!

The raw vegan cake was so rich in flavour recommend sharing it!!!! The coffee is strong and one of the best I have ever had!!!!

I canā€™t wait to go back and try more!!!!
Anna
My intention was to get the pretty mermaid bowls or some fruity goodness bowl, but this is a weekend thing which I had to find out in person as I unfortunately rocked up on a Monday. šŸ˜” So it was just a whole bunch of savory hot food waiting for us, but my oh my were they delicious! We got 4 options with some rice and it worked out to be a very kind $32 or something similar. Very wholesome food and generous portions - this would be the perfect place to come if you work nearby!
Vilma Ribeiro
Very good vegetarian restaurant with a different decor and good vibe. For lunch or dinner the food is already ready to plate but still pretty good! Good variety of food, with great salads and hot curry. If you are going and sharing with someone even better, cause you can try more things!
I'll be back for sure!
Neal
Have visited many times over the last 2 years but unfortunately the food doesn't change. The menu has remained stagnate and is just boring. Biggest issue however, is service is very sloppy, the food is slapped into bowls, presentation is crap.
We are there last night, the food is still repeating in me this morning and my partner has woken with stomach cramps. We won't be going back for a long time.
I will be contacting management to advise.
(PS: The outlet at Brickworks is no comparison, there you have table service a great menu and importantly the food and staff are clean!)
Being Delicious
I absolutely loved cardamon pod and went back twice!!! I really thought that the food tasted as good as it looked- however it did take around 20-30mins for the acai to come, but it was worth the wait!!!
Ben H
Chill place with delicious vegetarian dishes! Outdoor seating is great. Overlooks a park. Kafkas were my favorite. Sweet potato and tofu dishes were delicious. Lentil soup tasted too cumin.
Itsimm
Excellent choice for those wanting gluten & dairy free options with their coffee. Generous servings ensure that you don't leave feeling hungry.
Sophie Barton
Vegan lasagne and salad were over seasoned in my opinion. Quite expensive for the quantity of food. Cookie Monster ice cream was fantastic however! I would be keen to try the aƧai bowl next time.
Hali
Enjoyed our dinner at cardamom pod, especially the lemon rice and vegan lasagna which was amazing. There was basically a selection of dishes of which you choose a combination of two or three to make up your meal. The dinner selection was tasty but nothing extraordinary as far as vegan/vegetarian food goes. I'm yet to see what their breakfast/brunch menu has to offer as it seems to be a little more popular.
IloveMelbourne
OMG this place is amazing. I couldn't go past the acai bowls which were so beautiful to look at and even better to eat. I wish I lived in Broadbeach just to eat at Cardamom Pod everyday.
Natalie
We enjoyed a yummy lunch from The Cardamom Pod. We had a variety of foods all of which were really nice. I couldnā€™t believe how tasty the raw snickers dessert was too. I look forward to trying more food from here again soon.
Hailey
Absolutely loved this place. We used a Scoopon banquet which gave four of us 6 dishes to share plus a drink and excellent vegan ice cream. Everything was delicious. The staff were really lovely too. Can't fault this place.
Karl Dinis
We went there for my sisters birthday. First problem, we walk in as a massive group, no one to was there to take us to our seats and we just waited and looked stupid until We asked where we can sit. Then we went to get our food, which wasn't to bad but was a little cold and worse of all we had to wait 30 minutes for our drinks to come, which then we asked what's happening with our drinks, to be told we have to wait another 10 minutes hahah. Not even a sorry. The guys that work there most be burnt in the brain from all the surfing, because they definitely don't understand what customers service is. Once the desert came, we tried to eat but there where so many plates on the table that I had to pick up our own plates and put it on a another table, so we could finish our dessert. So was a massive disappointment

A very popular and well rated spot in Broadbeach, it has colourful and fun interiors with plenty of seating options. I arrived just before noon midweek, just beating the lunchtime rush. The vegan and vegetarian hot meals looks delicious (they rotate through dishes prepared each day and you can select which ones you want to be served with rice), but I was there for one things. It isn't listed on their menu, but is on a little board above the counter as a "new item" and has already graced their Instagram account numerous times- the acai bowl! Coming in at a pricey $19, I was sceptical about getting it, but you do receive a huge, filling bowl- I last a good 6 hours until dinner no worries. Not only did it taste great, but it is a work of art topped with fruits, granola and raw slices from the display cabinet. I would love to go back and try the hot food, but can highly recommend going for the sweet option!
Finy
Ordered rice and 3 main dishes, mango lassi, vegan vanilla caramel milkshake, oreo and caramel donuts. Everything tasted really delicious !!
Shubha Narang
Nice n awesome Vegetarian food with lots of choices and value for money..visited this restaurant with my family..we really relished the food especially DAL..
ScottW
Love a good vegan feed sometimes but this place has the best vegan desserts ever. Tried a few of them and they're great with the ice-cream. Slightly pricey though but worth it.
Manju Raj
Nice to eat Indian food without cream - far more authentic. It's all Vegetarian and great tasting. Rare find these days. Should definitely give it a try.
Alex Underwood
Really tasty food, nice friendly staff and a chilled out atmosphere. Good value and does take away too. Highly recommended. This place could convert me to vegetarianism!!!
Candi Charles
The Best place to eat on the Gold coast!!! Vegan and vegetarian friendly options making any choice on the menu guilt free. An amazing experience but be warned the food is soooo good you won't be able to resist coming back again, and again and again!!
Jean
Such good vegetarian food! Dragged my boyfriend (who loathes any sort of healthy food) along, and even he loved it!! I thought it was a little expensive at first but rice with two dishes is filling enough!
Ellen M
I've been coming here for years and the food is always nutritious and delicious. I noticed the portion sizes have decreased over the years, which is a shame, and sometimes certain dishes aren't cooked very well. Overall, my experience here is always good and their deserts are absolutely delicious. Sometimes (rarely) they have vegan lasagne - this is to die for!
Tess Cartwright
Bought a scoopon voucher for a "banquet" for two people,
Walked in, could not get anyone to serve or seat us, finally were taken to our table and the girl left and didn't tell us how to order or anything,
Found out we got to choose from a range of options for our banquet, it turns out that our banquet was barely enough for one person let alone my hungry bf!!
Included in the voucher was two drinks and two desserts,
Couldn't have most of the deserts because they were apparently not included in the voucher and they had run out of the drink I asked for.
Overall very disappointed with the service and the portion size of our food.
Will not be going again
VegTreats
Not as impressive as their Southport counterpart but delicious all the same! Out of the savoury selection I highly recommend the lasagna. Unfortunately, the kofta balls were rather bland, albeit tolerable, and the salads very salty. However, the saving grace was the raw cake selection. Both visually stunning and delicious, the dessert collection definitely won me over! Highly recommend a visit to Cardamom Pod, just a short walk from the Oasis Shopping Centre.
Barley And Hops
Great little find. People were very friendly and helpful. Atmosphere was good with cool music playing. Vegetarian food was very good for the price. Only real downside was they are not licensed to serve alcohol. Happy to go back regardless.
Foodiefoodfood
Decent food, quick and nice service and moderately priced. Good atmosphere. Had the share platter and Mocktail, was very nice. Will gladly come back.
Christopher Middleton
Brilliant vegetarian food! A must-visit for anyone looking for good food. Girlfriend and I stuffed our faces with a 4 serving share platter with rice which was just over $30. For the amount of (healthy) food and hiw filling it was, $15 each was a steal. The lasagne was incredible- I demand you try it too. There was also this mango juice-type drink (sorry, the title of it illudes me), but it was an absolute treat.
My only gripe with the experience was that the ladies working there were not attentive at all, looking like they didn't want to be there at all. I mean, I understand, but it makes a difference.
Caitlin
Just came here for a quick bite and was very satisfied. There is a wide array of vegetarian dishes already prepared to choose from. My boyfriend and I ordered four dishes with rice - which was plenty. The vegan lasagne was particularly nice, as well as the mango lassi. Staff could have been a little friendlier and more helpful as it was our first time there and wasn't 100% sure what the go was. They may have just been a bit tired or run down however, it's hard to know. Anyway, a small gripe.
The location and decor was lovely with comfy seating. Overall I'm impressed and will come back ā˜ŗļø

Note because we came back here - the man who served us this time was super friendly and amazing.
Jesse M
Great food and excellent vibe. Epic tofu salad. However, the food was just warm and most of the hot/warm options were creamy so it would have been great to see a better mix.
Indi Farquharson
Love this place! It never fails to satisfy! Always plenty to choose from always delicious. The only thing I don't like about it is one desert I tried which tasted like coconut oil :/ but the food is SOOOO good
SusanJ
As lots of others have said.... I'm not a vego but decided to try this place because of its high ratings. We got take away and everything was surprisingly delicious, especially the lasagne. Lots of flavour, food tasted fresh, wasn't too badly priced and service was quick. Not heaps of variety but I like that.
Kaitlyn
Big surprise for usual meat eaters!

We were meeting family who were vegan and vegetarian so we chose this by recommendation

For whatever reason, Unknown to us the menu was not available only the food in the warmers for takeaway. Juicer was "broken" so we stuck to water. I got a vegan lasagne, cheesy gratin and brown rice.. The rice was more stodgy than I expected. But I was greatly surprised about flavours of the dishes and was so impressed. Would definitely recommend as a takeaway place as dine in a bit wishy-washy.
Suzie Lee
Surprisingly tasty vegetarian food

As committed meat eaters without any food intolerances, we usually avoid vegan/vegetarian restaurants like the plague. However, after reading the reviews of The Cardamom Pod we felt that we had to give the Cardamom Pod a go. There is a large selection of hot food and cold salads to choose from. The lasagne and minestrone soup were full of flavour and the pumpkin cheesecake was amazing.
Spirited Stardust
I freaking love this place and am legitimately not joking when I say it's one of the main reasons I'll be staying in broadbeach when I next fly to Queensland. The vegan Kofte was just šŸ‘ŒšŸ»
Sen-sei
Huge value for your buck from this all vegetarian-vegan restaurant. I came here with my boyfriend for his birthday and we had a 4 course meal for less than $40. We had to doggy bag a couple of the dishes, it was all very tasty and the koftas and lasagne were our favourite. A staff member said that they always change up their menu and the food is cooked fresh. Desserts and tea are also to die for - we ordered the pumpkin cheesecake (yuuummmm!!!) and the cherry ripe tea - perfect blend. Will be back!
Wendy Smith
They make healthy vegan/vegetarian options mouthwatering. I love that everytime I go in its new options with amazing fair and imagination put into every dish. I never feel guilty for pigging out and their desserts!! Stop in a try the food you will not be sorry!
Katherine Loh
Really delicious food! We have been to several vegan restaurants and were pleasantly delighted with a new taste experience at Cardamom that was unique and very yummy!
Great concept and vibe in the shop!
Definitely coming back!
Itsimm
Awesome range of gluten and dairy free cakes/sweets. Tiramasu, Snickers, etc. All taste fantastic and are very generous in size. I'm sure their breakfast, lunch and dinner menu is also great, but I kept coming back for the coffee and cake.
For anyone with dietry requirements like myself I highly recommend this place.
Oh, and the staff were cool too.
GCfoodie
Not only is the food incredible but the ambiance is beautiful. I love just being inside the restaurant. Even non vegetarians (like myself) will enjoy the fresh food options. 4.5 instead of 5 because sometimes when I get take away salads they give me too much greens and not enough of the toppings (pumpkin, beetroot, etc) so it makes the salad a bit bland which is unfortunate. For the times when you do get all of the toppings on your salads though, they're a knock out.
Lilly C
This place is fantastic. I'm not a vegetarian but that was the best vegetarian food I've ever eaten. I really like the modern, funky, hippy decor. Staff were very helpful in helping me select my dinner choices. Will definitely revisit.
FoodGloriousFood
This place has amazing vegetarian and vegan food. I'm not even a vegetarian but I ended up becoming a regular here when I lived in Broadbeach. The food from this place is just wonderful and I like the range they have and how the menu changes everyday. The desserts and breakfast here are also fantastic.Ā

My meat-loving boyfriend who used to scorn vegetarian/vegan food, fell in love with this place. We both wish there was a Cardamom Pod in Sydney! Please open up in Sydney! :)
Jo Hamblyn
Never disappoints. Neither my partner or myself are vegetarian however we have eaten here many times at my insistence. Boyfriend was hard to convince at first but your lasagne has him hooked. Great great great great. Always consistent, if not a little repetitive, however the favourites can't be beaten, nor can the sweet raw treats.
AvidFoodie
My friend and I came here to have dinner, the food is pretty good, but quite expensive. My friend got 3 dishes and quinoa for $16.90. I wanted the same thing but was told mine would be $22.90. I didn't end up getting a third dish, instead I got two little koftas with sauce that ended up making it $18.90. Very disappointed that my friend got more than me and yet paid less! So many staff on and the messages are getting mixed up. Some charge extra and some don't.. Not very fair!
Bruce Coudrey
Amazing, fresh and satisfying vegetarian and vegan options. Lighting fast service and plenty of options at the buffet. Well priced, clean restaurant and cool interiors make for a great dining experience.
Luke Greenhalgh
Great vegetarian food for very reasonable prices. The food is all very fresh as is the fruit they use for their smoothies. The decor of the place is excellent and creates a fittinf vibe for the place.
Caitlin Wood
I'm not vegan or vegetarian but the food is amazing, all the raw deserts are so yummy, pumpkin cheesecake is to die for its my weekly cheat meal!
Sandra
Beautiful! A bit pricey but really delicious, wholesome, flavorsome food. Loved the vegan moussaka and the salads were gorgeous. Loved it and beautiful ambience!
Sahar&Aurelio
I just came here for desert and coffee. I had the raw snickers slice and my partner had the pumpkin cake. The snickers slice was very average. I've had many better ones before. The pumpkin slice was quite nice. This was bringing the score up. So just based on those 2 deserts it was ok. However, the coffee was a real let down. Made the overall experience a little disappointing. I have heard from other people that the food here is amazing. Perhaps their savoury will be better than their deserts.
Zomatoaddict
Came to Broadbeach for a few days and the only cafe I could get my favorite food and drink was this one ! Warm atmosphere and friendly staff :)
Jim Pottsy
Very good for vego food, plenty of range at a reasonable price. Default servings are a little small but you can add more of almost everything for a few dollars extra. Friendliest staff around, make the whole thing worthwhile. Byo.
Sofie Angel
I wish there was a place like this near my house because I'd go there everyday! Amazing selection of vegie food, well priced for lunch, gorgeous decor, great vibe & awesome tunes over the sound system. I could hangout there all day :)
DianaW
Loved this great cafe (nothing to do with me being vegetarian) even my friend who is a carnivore loved it. Great flavors & fresh ingredients make for a super combination. Add to this the generous serves & cost effective prices with friendly service & you will not be able to keep away. For around $25 you can get three generous curries or vegetable hot dishes or salads. Enough to share with heaps left over to take home. The food is full on flavour well spiced, but not to excess. Will definitely be returning to try those deserts
FoodPlease
Great vegetarian restaurant and it's always busy. So many different options and always so healthy.
I love the marinated tofu salad and the rainbow salad as well.

Overall it's a great place to eat and no animals are harmed :)
Silvia Duan
really normal food.doesn't deserve high score. the food is too oily. the flys are inside food heater!!! feel disgusting. definitely won't come again.
Feedmerocket
Absolutely adore this place. Very nice, good quality food and great value for money. The setting is in a beautiful spot by the park and there are lots of options to choose from. Definitely hits the spot!
Tracey Meyer
Cardamom Pod in Broadbeach has been rated as one of the top vegetarian restaurants on the Gold Coast and for good reason. Quirky decor, super friendly staff and clean healthy food all under one roofā€¦my kinda place!Ā What I love about this place besides the awesome food is the location; itā€™s adjacent to a park which means the little ones can run or play on the grass while you wait for the food. The employees are more than happy to answer questions and are very kid friendly, so thatā€™s a big tick from me.
John Smith
I understand all the good ratings about this place! Had dinner then twice in three days in the area. Not a vegetarian, but all the good flavours, diversity and copious amounts of food make the cardamom pod stand out. Delicious.
Elena Moore
I'm not even a vegan/veg and I loved this place! Beautiful flavors and very reasonably priced. Desert also yummy! One of my fav places on the GC!
Yang
Almost the best vegetarian restaurant I've been in Australia!!!! Amazing!!! Lovely staffs here! U can order any flavors u like to make u own smoothie. We tried the rainbow salad, sweet potato salad, curry, pumpkin cheesecake, berry smoothie. Yum! Yum! Yum!!!!!
Mr Creosote
Normally a carnivore I am converted after this experience. Great selection and variety including fresh juices organic cola and terrific coffee. Deserts to die for. Friendly open staff and casual vibe. $65 for two adults and two kids.
Tbill
Wow what a place, went here on a Saturday night, really busy place so it can be hard to get a table. The menu is not set so every night is different mains. You walk in pick your rice and 2 or 3 or 4 dishes and sit down or takeaway and enjoy some delicious food. Have been here 3 times once to eat in and twice for takeaway and have not been disappointed. Great serving sizes for the price and all the food is filling, tastes great considering people think of vegetarian food as boring and the best part it leaves you feeling good and not guilty. Highly recommend as a place to grab a meal, even if you're not a vegetarian, while you're on the Gold Coast.
HungryTumTum
Delicious food without guilt. Great coffee. Had lunch and breakfast here before which Leave me wanting to just come back more. They should have more shops like this. Even the atmosphere is great. Really good service too.
Connie
So, so good!!!! I ate here nearly everyday. Highlights for me were the Koftas with Tomato Sauce, Polenta & Cauliflower Bake, Beetroot & Ricotta Salad and the Pumpkin Cheesecake. I tried a few of the other desserts but found them too rich & sweet for me.
Karri Lee
This is easily one of my favourite restaurants in the coast! I am not vegetarian nor vegan, nor do I have any kind of dietary restrictions and yet I eat here very often and suffer no lack of taste or enjoyment. The food is absolutely amazing! My personal favourite: pumpkin cheesecake 10/10 would eat.
Lanaa
Beautiful decor and great food at a reasonable price. We tried the share plate for two and really enjoyed everything! I say this place is a MUST-try! ....(ps. It is a vegetarian restaurant)
YumYum
Yum Yum Yum. I first discovered this place in Byron Bay which is a much smaller place than this one at Broadbeach. The food is superb. Great hot and cold options and the desserts are to die for - a must is the pumpkin cheesecake. The smoothies are also awesome. As a vego, this place is in my top 3 in Australia.
Reynaldo
I visited this place with my vegan friend. We tried the rice with lentil curry, pumpkin salad, and Brocolli tofu. For me they were alright. The portion is hugeeeee. Decent dishes but not the best dishes I've ever had. Probably because I am a carnivore. But she told me it was the best vegetarian dishes she had in a while. She gave 5 and I gave 3.5, thats why I ended up with 4 rating!
Yanna Lai
Just as a cocoa pod is worth is weight in gold, so is our treasuredĀ Cardamom Pod. Here,Ā the food speaks of life, love and peace. Like a nirvana allĀ draped in natureā€™s finest foliage, an assortment of turquoise chairs, silk-wrapped posts and chocolate timbre tables greeted us. Meeting the morning sun as Red Macaron and IĀ arrived was a new experience, as wasĀ the recentlyĀ introduced Breakfast menu.
GPS Joe
Tasty vegetarian food. Until recently, would have considered this an oxymoron. Delicious vegan lasagne. Tried the chai too. Give this a try, including all you carnivores!
Chelsea Everingham Naturopath
Got food poisoning!Ā I ate salad and potato bake and was on the toilet for hours and hours in pain!Ā I'd hoped that in a vegan/vego restaurantĀ the chances of food poisoning are lower than meat serving places.

In March, Brad and I snuck up to the Gold Coast for a little weekend getaway. It's a trip that has been long overdue, since we first discovered our mutual enjoyment of roller coasters at Universal Studios in Singapore in 2011.Ā It had been a long time since I had last been to the Gold Coast, and coming back with fresh eyes, itā€™s certainly an interesting place. It kind of reminded me of Los Angeles, with sporadically placed apartment blocks, which all have a bit of a 70ā€™s vibe to them with Spanish namesā€¦right by the beach. Itā€™s got a bit of a reputation for being tacky, but itā€™s certainly got itā€™s charm in itā€™s own way, and despite what some say, there is some pretty good food around here! So hereā€™s what we got up to, and a couple of tips of an enjoyable weekend on the Gold Coast! We booked a one bedroom service apartment at Meriton Broadbeach , and my suggestion? Book well in advance. Itā€™s a steal of a room (roughly around $220 at the time we booked), with way too much room for a weekend, and a simply fantastic location, just 5 minutes from a major bus terminal, and an array of good restaurants in the area.Ā For dinner on Friday, we walked over to Hank Dining and Bar, hidden unexpectedly in aĀ pedestrianĀ mallĀ amongst McDonalds and other fast food outlets, but a very pleasant surprise. The menu reads well, but it is heavy, particularly on this humid night as we regret keeping our jeans on and not switching out for shorts. But despite that, I simply could not turn down the slow biased beef cheek with textures of cauliflower, pureed, grilled, steamed and crumbled on top. Sure, a bit rich for the tropical weather, but no dou

Wholefood Savvy @ Cardamom... 7/10. The food and the decor was great! And much better that lot of others out here although the staff seemed very uneducated with customer service and the atmosphere was 0 if it hadn't been for the very pretty decor then i probably wouldn't want to sit there for too long after my meal.
We are clean eaters who prefer gluten and dairy free, refined sugar and fructose free food so it did become our favourite place to visit while were attending a young living conference and within walking distance this was the closest thing to 'healthy'. We wanted to order a dandelion chai tea and it was fairly busy at the time and around 8:30pm. We lined up again after enjoying our food for about 15 minutes to be told that we couldn't order tea because the line was too long... so that's fair. When the line went down we asked again and they still refused to serve us... weird... the only thing that was a stand out disappointment was the way that the staff handles customers. If Cardamom Pod is reading this I would say make sure you think about the way you word things to your customers. Maybe you could think about saying "I'm really sorry we have closed the machine for tonight, can I offer you a cup of hot water or a dessert to enjoy... our desserts are amazing... " instead of, "no we aren't serving tea cause it's too busy". As you would loose a sale in that moment or even a future return of a customer.

Cardamom is worth a visit just be prepared to wait and not to be disappointed by the customer service depending on who you are.

Great breakfast!. Got to try the breakfast this morning and it was amazing. Had the burrito and a friend had the acai bowl. Both were great and very filling. We also both had the mocktail smoothies. The dragon berry one was delicious but the mocha one was a bit sweet for my liking.

Can't wait to go back and already considering a drive down from Brisbane to try some other things on their menu.

Please, Please, Please Educate your staff. I have given this place many, many chances and I have never written a review on any restaurant ever before in my 38 year old life. I want the revamped Cardamon Pod to succeed and to be successful in feeding the bellies and souls of the many hungry vegetarians and vegans on the coast. BUT your staff need to know what they are selling, they need to know the ingredients of each dish, they need to know if it is 100% organic, they need to know what "fake chicken" is. Almost every interaction I have had with staff serving me has been painful. They just don't know what they are doing please help them.

Just Fantastic!. I crave Cardamon Pod nearly every day, I have no hesitation at all to drive from Brisbane to Broad Beach just for a meal. it is such a fantastic establishment and the food is divine! So many tasty vegan and vegetarian options, and oh my gosh the smoothies! I also just can't keep my mitts off their delish desserts. I highly recommend the cherry ripe slice or the peanut butter cups! 2 thumbs up and a third thumb if I had it.
